  1. Well deserved 3 points in my opinion, worked hard and forced a number of errors from them. I thought both teams tried to play, can't see where people get "poor game" from. Doncaster looked OK when on the ball, but not strong defensively. Both sides missed chances, us mainly in the first half when we could have been well ahead, their finishing was woeful. I thought we stopped playing at 2-0, either because we had established a lead or perhaps due to Morgan going off. When we played a bit of football, we won the 2nd penalty. Overall a confident, competent performance, surely we can follow it up with 3 points on Tuesday!
  2. Only geographically would I swap, much quicker getting to home games. Strangely I've never had an affinity with Leicester despite only living 15 miles away.
  3. Guilty as charged, probably all started with David Peach's cousin working with my wife and regaling her with tales of derring do - or possibly derring shouldn't do! For some reason, most centred around Mick Channon - can't think why.
  4. Regardless of the merits of the discussions on whether Sky saved football, isn't it also true that football saved Sky?
  5. I've just tried to get a QPR ticket online (I am a member) and got a warning message and couldn't complete the transaction. Ticket office said there had been a problem but should be OK now. Anyone else having problems, or is it me not doing it right?
  6. I haven't read through all the posts, so I'm probably repeating the obvious. Very, very disappointing after seeing them at Derby, who got beat again today, so that may say something. I didn't think the passing was up to standard today, we seemed to overelaborate and eventually lose the ball. Centre midfield didn't show as much as I'd hoped. I'm a fan of Schneiderlin, but he didn't do himself justice, why did he insist on the long crossfield ball to Holmes that only found his man once or twice. And as the bloke near me said DMc had a good first half but was largely anonymous after the break. Full credit to Blackpool though, they must have come with a game plan that worked, they looked dangerous throughout. I'll be there at QPR though.
  7. Cobblers away please. For purely selfish reasons, of course.
  8. On yesterday's showing, his only chance of getting a game is if/when someone in a similar position gets an injury. I'm not convinced his style of play is suited to the new team ethos.
  9. I see this was in NOTW - does that count?
  10. "I just had a little bet with myself that 2 threads would exist this morning when I logged on. 1. ITV The Championship is rubbish again 2. Trouble after the game/on the trains etc. 1 out of 2 ain't bad" 2 lads were turfed off our train back to Kettering. Don't think they had any football connection, so spect that doesn't count!
  11. First view of TNS (the English variety) today and I must agree with previous comments, we were truly amazing. Are Derby destined for a 2nd relegation? On this form, they will struggle. But we probably made them look bad. The only down sides, we needed the 2nd to kill the game and I felt we lost it a bit for a few minutes after we scored and let them build up a bit of steam. But we then regained the initiative in no uncertain terms. The football was superb and I must agree with some about Schneiderlin, he looks awesome
  12. Surely no-one has actually "given up". My first look at the new team on Saturday, but most reports have seemed encouraging and mid table should be eminently gettable. I reckon all relegation talk at this stage is reverse psychology; as supporters, we only fear the worst when we need 4 points to stay up from the last game of the season.
  13. Only an hour away from me, so I'll be there. Would be nice to get a good Saints following, and interesting to see how many home fans turn out.
  14. Sorry to be pedantic, but there must be a team missing off the list; 23 seeds and 24 non seeds.
  15. A Sunday paper I read has us down for relegation. We'll possibly end up somewhere in mid table, but I'm looking forward to the season with renewed anticipation.
  16. I don't post much, but I'm happy to pay £5. Spect that makes me a soft touch.
