Can't talk about the EDL, even though they rioted last night but can talk about the Police treating white people last 2nd class citizens and the Daily Mail being gagged by the deep state.

Where is the evidence that the Police and media are keeping incidents quiet, for your implied diversity reasons. A good portion of the media are politically inclined to not want to keep this stuff quiet, who is gagging them? There was the Rochdale sex trafficking stuff that wasn't investigated properly, that was some time ago. Any recent evidence?

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
Fan The Flames replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Tories cutting taxes to put more money in working people's pockets - heros. Labour giving proper pay rises to put more money in working people's pockets - champagne socialist scum. A decent wage for decent days work shouldn't be in question. -
A spad from Tufton Street, with oven ready ideas. It fantasy trickle down high tide bollocks politics.

Killing the person trying to broker a deal looks like a suspicious move.

Leeds was a riot, no one said it was peaceful.

Its still bollocks

Well spotted Weston, didn't see 'his'. Can always rely on you.

Braverman fucked people of with her dissing the party before the election. Her support dwindled. Badenoch toned herself down prior to the election to position herself for the leadership bid. It will be Tugendhat V Badenoch at the end, unity with little vision V fantasy vision and anti-wokery. Badenoch wins and is a disaster.

He wasn't POTUS then, have you not realised.

There is some conservative stuff going on but there are plenty of progressives that can take it on. I don't believe they are want a one party situation, they won't be able to. But what they want is to embed conservative values into the system, that will take time to unpick. Trump doesn't give a shit if it's unpicked, he just wants to win and will say anything to his base to secure the votes.

Yeah, it's not the bit back, it's the bit too much back.

The legal test is the only one that matters. I'm not overly concerned, they are not nice people but the fact that it happened means the cop has to face the law like anyone else.

Crazy country we live in where people get more upset when someone is covered in milkshake than someone being stamped on the head.
-
If he died would he have got what he deserved. Its not whataboutery, as you said the red mist came down so the copper wasn't in control when he stamped on his head. The second video doesn't change much for me, we knew they attack the police, we now see it was a vicious attack but there is still no need to stamp on him. I said earlier we see one cop act really professionally and one cop not.
-
Take away the uniforms, if that was an attack by one group on another in the airport and one of the attackers was knocked to the floor and was then kicked and stamped by a guy from the other group. The guys who carried out the attack and the stamper would all get arrested, without the stamp he wouldn't get arrested. That's the test for me.

Daily Mail in distorted headline shocker.

We knew from the off that the Asian lads had attacked the police, just hadn't seen the video of how bad it was. This isn't a good side v bad side argument, the lads are a couple of cunts that deserve to be banged up for 5 years. And the lads lawyer is a cunt as well. But the cop's actions were wrong, the lad was on the floor and subdued, the stamp and kick were pure revenge. I understand that people act instinctively in situations, but I don't won't that from our police service. The lad could easily had died and he wouldn't have deserved that. The other copper stayed calm, got his taser out and did his job. If that was a fight between two groups I would agree that if you act violently bad things can happen to you. But he was a copper and should act to a higher standard in my opinion.

I don't think the Christian voting thing is as bad as some think. Trump is saying to conservative Christians that he will make laws that they want, probably around abortion, books in schools, parental rights. So for those who don't like him because he is a rapist, can pinch their noses and vote for him for the greater Christian good. Also there are a lot of Conservative Christians who don't vote, like Plymouth Brethren or Jehovah Witnesses, so again he is trying to get them to vote one time for the greater conservative Christian good. They will be plenty of PB or JW that just won't vote, but they will be people on the fringes of these communities or those with aligned religious beliefs that may vote. Trump may not be trying to widen his appeal but he can deepen his reach in to conservative communities, a third of Americans don't vote, so trying to get a few more of those out may be one of their tactics. As Fry said he only cares about the next election.

All opening ceremonies are shit, aren't they?

Depends on how much the Tories are going to beat themselves up. Possession is 9/10ths and all that, so someone can come in and hold the role, if they do a good job and are strong enough to quell the internecine power battle. If there is a big messy dust up, then stand aside until the civil war is over. William Hague wasn't electable, had little cut through with his weird voice and freaky OAP in a young man's body vibe. The Tories were shit and were infighting again and Hague wasn't strong enough. Clever speeches but no stature.

It must have been done by black people because the media haven't said who just yet, obviously too scared to say anything.

I know, the joys of working in Gillingham. Really nice evening the other week and trying to get my steps up, I took the long way back to my car through The Lines. I took a wrong turn that led to a path in a small woods, I passed three cracks heads smoking crack, I stuck my head down and carried on past, then there were a couple of tents with a smacked out guy in one. Then the fuckin path stopped, so instead of going back past them all, I had to fight through 15m of brambles to get out the other side. Unscathed apart from the loss of one earphone. The thing the worried me was if I did become a cropper everyone would be wondering what was I doing in the woods on a Friday after work with a load of crack heads. And the conclusion some would come to would be that I was looking for some cheap action.

Thanks, I've read some reports, it's was the bit about the brother I hadn't seen. That's seems a coincidence, who knows. My colleague is actually back in today, chatting to her, she is friends with the soldiers wife, she is obviously very upset as the guy is in a bad way.
