Edwards is having none of Edoxie's shit today is he. Marking tight and taking no chances, Saints need to find another outlet.
-
Drop Edozie! 5 0 win and he was pretty much MoTM. Frazer was excellent but I can't see that happening. Frazer's a loan player probably looking for a contract he can wait. FA cup game coming up, he'll start then, with young Sam on the other side. Poor Walsall Sadly we all know how opposition teams will eventually deal with Edozie and that's to take him out. He's already been cleaned out a few times. Sensible to have back up. Plymouth will be physical like WBA, Stephens needs to play somewhere and maybe Charles. They are a funny side, could cause us problems or roll over, hard to tell. This time last year Saints had been dicked by Brighton, and were facing another grizzly defeat at Fulham. That was horrible, much better feeling this year.

Bus is easy, just don't leave it too late. Legend has it that Rupert Lowe had the seats made slightly smaller to push the capacity up above 30k. Seats can be tight for the bigger guy, but the football is so good at the moment you won't notice.

Oh this with big knobbly knobs on. On holiday so had to watch on my laptop. Very frustrating as it feels like you are only watching half the game. What a game to miss!

Swansea paid the price for taking us on. Their collective ego was never going to allow them to sit back. Although with Saints's current form I'm not sure it would make a difference. Saints just wore them down and pushed them back. RM brought on four subs, probably guaranteed starters in the Swansea team. That must just drain the energy from the opposition, and it definitely showed today. Saints are probably sailing very close to the FFP rules, but it is allowing them to dominate games. Bringing on an established Premier league player to replace an England U21 winger is showing some financial muscle. But who cares 😀 5 0 bloody fantastic really enjoyed that. What a different feeling to last year. Love this league.

However will want Frazer back. Excellent finish. 4 0 lovely
-
Edozie deserves that, back heeled .... brilliant
-
Grimes, Humphreys, and Pattinson, certainly aren't rubbish. Swansea look a decent side. Good measure as to how well Saints are playing. Stephens is certainly adding to the defense and midfield. Good to see.
-
Edozie really ripping them up. Looking good so far

Steady as she goes today. Hope for a win, take a draw. Leeds currently imploding against PNE, either Leicester or Ipswich will lose points. Could be a good day. Key will be Stuart Armstrongs fitness, he is so important. Hopefully 60 good minutes for him then Alcaraz replaces him. Should be an unchanged team except Manning.
-
PNE one up now .... lovely
-
Both Swansea or Plymouth could do it before then. Just takes a bad day. However agreed Norwich away is the toughest fixture for a while. Get past that unscathed and this team will be in uncharted waters. Runs like this can become a curse. You know it will end eventually, and after a while you want to get it out of the way. Injuries, suspensions and fatigue are probably going to have an impact on every team. Need to ride the storm. Love this league, the games just keep on coming.

Out for the season

I don't think he's a bad player, he certainly put himself about today. However he is just totally bereft of confidence. He needs his future sorted. By not signing a contract he is turning the fans against him. Plus nobody will sign him in this form. With Stewart busted he has an ideal opportunity to grab the CF spot.

This is going to be a tough watch for the next 20 mins or so. QPR are playing well.
-
Not poor, the opposition know their ground and are putting us under pressure. Give it time, just need to weather this
-
Interesting QPR have clearly worked out that sitting back against Saints doesn't work. They are a bit more up and at Saints. Definitely getting behind our lines more. However that should give Saints more room.
-
I'm not sure I agree with that, I think his passing is a solid part of his game. He always looks to push forward. Don't confuse that with the occasional brain fart, which he needs to cut out. As I said I like him, but he'll never be dominant in the air. That is the bigger issue. Anyway as you say, decent back up.
-
Pretty sure it will be unchanged today, although Mara might get a run out. Stephens is important to us. I know some don't rate him but I think he is very underrated. A capable flexible defender and a decent leader in my opinion. Whilst clearly our number 3 CB atm, he could be called upon at any time. Defenders are more at risk from injuries and suspension due to the nature of their role. Martin is right to keep him fit and ready to go. If all goes well it would be good to see him on the pitch for a decent cameo.

Totally agree, being unbeaten is starting to hang around like a bad smell, we all know that sooner or later a defeat is coming. As you say embrace it when it does and use the pain to galvanise the team.

Hope ..... just hope

Put our sense of entitlement aside and that is a point salvaged. Coventry were really solid and blocked off any routes of attack. They didn't give KWP one inch of space. We were slow ponderous and lacking any sort of invention up front. I thought Charles and Smallbone did OK. The latter put in some good covering tackles. They just had no outlet, all they could see was sky blue shirts. I've said a few times that Marc Robbins is a decent manager and it showed tonight. Totally nullified RM's strategy and we had no plan B. Our football is so dull and exhausting to watch. I like Martin, I think he is a good manager overall but he has to revisit these tactics. None of the decent sides play this way, and it is pretty obvious why. Weird subs as well. Aribo was blowing from 75 mins, Alcaraz was an obvious replacement. Always like visiting Coventry, nice ground, easy parking, but as someone said terrible toilets. Just got to keep going.
-
Fair point on the goals, we all know that needs sorting. Bit harsh on Bazunu, all goalkeepers have those moments. He's been one of the positives so far, and is significant part of the unbeaten run. Score the 2nd or 3rd goal and his earlier saves will be remembered rather than the fumble.
-
Agreed, the only variable is Edozie. He may start with Mara and Adams. Draw likely, not the end of the world, but obviously hoping for a win. Better not be roadworks on the way home, got stuff to do tomorrow....

The top two are making this a weird season. Already significantly ahead of Burnley and Sheffield last year. Amazing form, got to hand it to them. However long way to go, Saints just need to win as often as possible. Frankly first task is to overtake Leeds and stretch out a buffer of a few points. That won't be easy and will take time. Then it's just a case of waiting for either Leicester or Ipswich to slip up. I reckon that's unlikely but stranger things have happened. Ipswich have Norwich Leeds and Leicester next. In contrast Saints have Coventry, Blackburn, and QPR. Ideal time to load on the pressure. Come on you Saints
