Why can't you understand that the bank will require short and long term solvency and will not give a **** about out ability to compete on the football field. Anyway, who is to say our results will be so bad that relegation is a formality. I think there will be worse teams than us in the CCC from what we have seen in the last couple of games. We won't achieve the play offs but equally it is not certain that we will be relegation fodder either. Time to wait and see..

Correct it is probably not but making sure we can regain financial stability is and the facts are that we were discussing Saga's terms last season for ages which normally means we had to pay big bucks. No great loss IMO and I would definitely keep Stern John over Saga as John is more effective even if he does not run around quite as much.

I was a Burley supporter when he was here and still think he did some good stuff and some not so good given the circumstances, but like Colin says I think everyone has moved on from that. Right now I wish Jan and the team luck this season and hope his young side can produce the goods to tie us over safely in mid-table. Anything else will be a bonus in my opinion..

But this group of young players we have out there are only now maturing and some we didn't even have. Take the eleven against West Ham - Lloyd James, Jake Thomson, Spiderman, Gillett, Lee Holmes, McG, Lallana were out there and by all accounts played well, however, 2 were not with us (one we paid about £1m for) and the rest were very young in previous seasons or put out on loan to try to give them the experience needed. From what I understand the lads out on loan never set the world alight but maybe the experience they gained has helped them step up now?
