I remember going up into the Chocolate boxes when a load of what were obviously Millwall fans came onto the Milton Road terrace and started laying into the Salisbury fans. Also after the game the Millwall fans went into town and it kicked off with all the Southampton casuals who used to hang around in the precinct. I'm sure this was also one of the occasions when it went off in the old Warrens pub before the game. I miss the atmosphere of games in the 70's but not the violence.

If the fans feel like they do then how must some of the players feel. it's now obvious to everybody that football is more about the Premier League and the money than it is about actually having a go and winning a trophy. Does this mean we'll have open top bus tours of the city if we stay up? If you're a gifted young kid then come to Saints to learn your trade but **** off as soon as you've made the break through because that's as good as it gets.

Totally agree with this why bother going to games if the club are not going to have a go in the competitions they actually have a chance of winning. A little bit more of football died for me today.
