After 2 long months the transfer window is finally closed, and yes we've signed some quality players, however I am now left questioning the ambition or the target of this club. With the sale of Oxo and with money already in the club plus a strong league position we were in a very good position to sign a quality forward, those that say DC, Lambert and Barnard( who we might not have much longer) will score the goals are the deluded ones, not the people questioning the lack of signings. And no I'm not saying we should have broken the bank or splashed the cash, however those complaining of people questioning no purchase of a striker are properly the same old farts that complain about the price of tea in costa coffee, and if they think we have enough upfront.. Well then THEY are the deluded muppets. Hopefully will sign someone on loan, however I'm very disappointed.

This isn't a knee jerk reaction post, however the game today shows we lack a decent centre back, And need a prolific striker.. We can finacially out power most teams in the championship, so rather than fairily sniffing around players cut to the chase and sign them up. Failer to do so is not good enough and will show a lack of ambition. If Oxo wasn't sold then the situation could be slightly different.

If anything so far this game confirms we need a CB and a striker.
