The saying 'J.F.D.I' is not happening at Saint Marys currently, and could be the diffrence between going up or not. If rumours are true, and that we bid 1.5 for Sharp then I find it strange. His release is 1.85 million so why not get on with it, pay an extra 300k more and land a player that could get us into the premiership? For those not used to the term JFDI, it means ( just f#cking do it.)

No new signings come then end of January will look like a lack of ambition, we're in the top two so ****ing get out their and make a push surely? why build for next season as some morons suggest when Saints with a few signings could make it this season..

Not being a critic of NA, but could it be that he doesn't like being outside of his comfort zone? I know Lee signing kind of ruins that idea, however we have been linked with nearly every half decent player NA has managed. Therefore most Prem clubs wouldn't pay such a fee as stated, but as Hooper and NA have worked together before then he is willing to pay over the odds to get him on board without taking a risk. (Might not make sense, and realise this debate could go round and round in circles)

My thoughts exactly.. Cox would 'do the job' at this level, but preimership week in week out doubtful. We don't want to go up with NPC players on 2/3 year contracts..Whereas Hooper has more of a chance of cutting it in the Preimership even though being a more ambitious and costly signing.

Depends on a lot of things - 6 million for Hooper is a big fee.. However at 23 and If he improves could be sold for twice that.. However 4 million for LJ would be rediculous..

I must be one of the few that isn't interested in saints signing Sharp. Flopped at United, having a good run this season, granted. But its not like he's 20/21 he is 25, and doesn't have alot to show for it IMO of course..

Been quite on the transfer news.. Think someone said we find out tomorrow if Lee can sign? Hopefully a few new players in before Forest.. Lee & Hooper would be ideal!
