maybe just shows how differently we see things when you are there and when you watch the overall picture on tv! Wright-Phillips had one mazy run and tracked back afew times to cover the defence, apart from that he spent most of his time standing on the wing waiting for the ball that never came! Lampard made alot of good tackles and yes he did misplace some passes, but so did everyone of our players. I still think it was one of Englands worst performances because we didnt show any kind of passion or effort. A team like Spain like time on the ball to stroke it around which is exactly what we gave them! We needed to get in there faces and make them make mistakes which none of our players in the first half did. You could see how little Wright-Phillips did by watching how much better we were on the right when Beckham came on. They walked past us down thier left in the first half. Anyway this is all my opinion so make of it what you will! Be interesting to see others views who went! Speaking to other fans after the match, they seem to say pretty much the same.

I went last night and sat right in the first row and I can honestly say it was one of the worse displays of football from England that I have ever seen! We were outplayed for most of the first half and Spain looked like the could walk it round us! When Capello brought on the more seasoned pros at half time we did look a bit more solid but we so missed, Rooney, Gerrard, Owen etc. Lampard did do quite well though and thought he and Beckham played well for us second half. In the first half Heskey and agbonglhor (sp?) did well but were given absolutly sod all support and there was at least 20 yrds between our midfield and the strikers for the whole half. Now dont get me started on Downing and Wright-Phillips, they were shocking! As far as I know Ashley Young was there just didnt play, but I was with a Aston Villa fan and we were saying why doesnt he play Young second half? I also went with two Spanish fans and they said that they thought Spain were quite ordinary last night but they didnt need to do anything special but if they had we would have lost by a lot more than we did. Hey it was only a friendly and the atmosphere was electric! However it was possibly the quitest I have ever seen England fans!

I know I am a bit younger But here goes! My best mates mum used to work in the ticket office at the dell, while she got us good season tickets, my dad used to pick my mate up and take us on a saturday while she was working. Now during the school holidays sometimes we used to go to work with her and go out on the pitch in the afternoon to have a kickabout on our own! (this was when the players still trained on the pitch) If the players were stiil around they used to join in sometimes, so we had a kickabout with loads of players over the years, Le tiss, jimmy case, Armstrong and my hero Chicken George Lawrence! This all culminated in the last day of the season after the final whistle going down behind the ticket office and as the players walked past on there way to throwing thier shirts into the crowd, my mate and I getting them all to sign our shirts and programs! Now them were the days! -
It won´t be cancelled from our end! Lovely sunny weather here this weekend! As I said earlier going to the game with Spanish mates so be in the home end! Tickets are 10 euros for **** seats and 35 euros for the plush seats. Also Seville is a great city for drinking and sight seeing. Will drive up in the morning and spend the day on the lash! Might wear my saints shirt so if any of you see me say hello!

I worked in the "Terrace Garden" and you couldn't swing a cat in that sauce section! In fact if you tried to get something out of the fridge you burnt your arse on the oven! I moved there about a year after The Waldorf changed from 5* to Contract catering ****! I believe they changed the "Oak Room" into a health club didn't they?
-
You do, but it doesn't seem to get the same recognition the restuarants owned by the "names" do.

How many matches should we give him a chance for? Shall we wait until we are relagated before we critisize him? Answer on a postcard please!

I have supported the new manager because he is just that, but why oh why do we never learn that promoting from within never works for us? The people that are saying we should keep on supporting him, do you really believe that he is any different from jan? or is he really the manager that we needed to take over? From my point of view I will not write off a manager from the start and have reluctance too after three games but I didn't think he would be any good and my patience are starting to run out fast! Wake up Lowe and smell the coffee! You are seriously out of your depth!

A fantastic restuarant, that still seems wildly underated to me!

Getting it wrong once is a mistake, getting it wrong continuously is a sign of complete hopelessness!
-
Just not good enough! We play the whole second half to get back into it and then lose in the last minute!! pathetic really pathetic:smt022

0-0 I think the players will be cold and therefore quite a boring game! (although hope i am wrong and it is 3-0 saints) COYR

TBF we could of only taken one more step backwards but Charlton are slightly worse than us!
-
I agree. The club ie. Lowe, Wilde etc did feed us all with stories of bad finances and point scoring statements of how the previous chairman had left us seriously in the kaka and how we would probably have to sell off more players in January. So I think it is pretty rational to ask questions now as to why we didnt sell anyone.(i am glad we didnt by the way!) Were their no high enough bids? Have we improved the finances that much that we didn't have to sell anyone? or Were the finances exageratted at the start of the season? All valid questions that maybe we should be asking and the club should be answering.

Nice sunny day here!! Not cold either!!

If he is that tall maybe he could fix the broken big screen!
