I agree! If he really wanted to get the fans behind him and the team then he should leave out the snidy comments. Those exact comments will come back to bite him in the bum tommorrow if we lose, where as a rallying call is just that and leaves no stick to beat him with come final whistle! I don't think I did to be honest SOG! Jonah may go on to post more comments to backtrack on what was said, but I replied as soon as I read the post and found the comments rather distastful! I then read on, and still don't think any of what I said is overreacting. By all means have a reasonable debate and disagree with other people, but to be so condeascending to a lad that has got off his arse and done something about it just makes your own beliefs totally invalid and makes one look a little bit silly! Especially when the original organiser of the protest was a lot older but had to stand down because of work issues, so the 16 yr old lad took over!

I expected better from you Nick. I don't always agree with what you say but I respect you for your honest posts and maturity. However surely you cannot defend someone picking on and being downright condescending towards and 16 year old lad, when all he does is snipe from the comfort of his office!

Please stop this rubbish about not speaking in his "native tongue" bull****! A vast majority of Dutch people speak English from a very young age, Wotte speaks great English! If you think that he gets mixed up somehow you should read some of his comments that include some very English phrases.(by that I mean phrases that are perticular to us) If you are not comfortable with a language then you wouldn't use them, you would stick to the main bulk of the language. Using the language arguement is laughable! By the way my feelings on the comments are that they are misguided and poorly timed and Darren W sumd it up with an example of what could of been said.

Could someone perhaps help me with something? I am sure that someone told me once that Southampton have to have a sports stadium in the city as part of the councils remit of becoming a city with no cathedral. I may be wrong but doesnt that mean that the council would have to buy the stadium if no one came in to buy us? As I said in an earlier post, I believe it is the crowd "NOISE", or lack of it that could gee up the players! It doesnt really matter a jot what is sung as the players imo just hear noise. I went to old trafford in the relegation season and you could only hear the saints fans until united scored and they went mental, then quite again until they scored,and repeat until we lost 3-0 to a side not at all inspired by their 80,000 odd uber fans!

To be honest Nick I believe it is the noise that gees up the players, rather than what is sung!

You are right they are a fantastic team, but they didn't even have to try last night! We did do that at the start and to some extent it worked, however there is no getting past we had our second team out and the fact that those players were supposed to show our manager that they are good enough for the first team and didn't show any passion or fight was the most disappointing thing for me! I went knowing that we would probably lose as we had so many of our best players out, it was just the way we capitulated, that was hard to watch!!
