Should have put that bet on! Will probably give this one a miss. -

The OTT support for him is just a reaction to the out of order abuse he got with the nadir being when he came on as a sub against Reading last season. -
FA Cup 5th round draw thread (Sunderland Away)
Berkshire Saint replied to rickylambert's topic in The Saints
Either Sheffield club away would be decent as I went to Uni there so any excuse for a return is good! Otherwise, the weakest side left at home (so Wednesday or Charlton at the moment). Bet we get Sunderland away. -
Sounds like exactly what we need. Not really an all-rounder though with only four FC 50s and an average, and SA FC stats are slightly unreliable as their 2nd tier competition still holds FC status. Possible XI for Championship could be: Adams Carberry Dawson Vince Smith Ervine Wheater Coles Abbott Briggs Tomlinson Gatting and Terry reserve batsmen, Bates reserve keeper (although think he should be first choice in limited overs), Wood and Balcombe reserve bowler. Wood will play all of the 50 and 20 over stuff. Would like to think we'll be the near the top of the Division 2, but we've thought that for a couple of years now!

I think it was £39 last year. No wonder their fans are ****ed off having to watch that football and pay those prices!

This. Absolutely baffled by that thread on the Sunderland forum!

Post Match Reaction: Sunderland 2-2 SAINTS
Berkshire Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I was on the 0900 and she was okay about it. It was about an hour/hour and a half into the journey so I guess by then she had calmed down and decided to be reasonable. It's just pot luck with train guards in that situation really! Had to get the Metro to Stadium of Light and just made kick off so can't complain. As for the game, the first half was about as well as we've played away from home in years, shame we weren't at least three goals up by half time. Sunderland improved a bit but until they equalised we actually had the better chances in the second half. Thought there was a real sense of complacency throughout the side in the second half and once they equalised I thought some of our time wasting was odd as I didn't see why we couldn't get going again and go for the win. -
All a complete farce but thankfully the train manager on the 0900 let me and all the other Grand Central passengers off without buying a new ticket! Just stopped at Darlington now. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Yep! I've had to move the 0811 to Sunderland to the 0900 to Newcastle. Grand Central tried to get it allowed so that we could use our advance tickets on here but East Coast refused. Now going to cost silly money and will struggle to make kick off! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

I see the ticket details are out. Decent prices. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/hull-tickets-on-sale-from-monday-1294790.aspx Oddly been looking forward to this one as not been to Hull and it will be my 19th Prem ground visited (with only Man City remaining). A pain it's midweek, as it always seems to be when we play up there. Anyone know any reasonable pubs up there/around the station? I'll be staying in Sheffield but will probably be in Hull from around 6pm.

Haven't West Ham just given Carlton Cole a new 18 month contract, Carroll is back and they're bringing in a bloke from the Ivory Coast (I think) as well? Not sure if they'd really need Lambert now. People need to chill out about all of this, it's not as if we're suddenly going to be fielding our Under 18s by the end of the month.

Years behind everyone else but bought The Sopranos box set back in October and got through it all in the space of two months. Absolutely brilliant TV, I expect I'll watch it again all the way through within the next year or so. Now onto The Wire and nearly finished the first series. Have enjoyed it but miss watching The Sopranos so far! In a way find it better to wait until this series end and just ploughing through the box sets rather than waiting every week for another episode! I'm sure I'll get round to watching Breaking Bad eventually too.

In a funny sort of way, might not be such a bad time to play them. Their fans will be expectant of another win after thumping Fulham and they're starting to show some improvement but they're around the bottom for a reason ultimately. Looking forward to this one (the early train journey not so much) and see no reason why we can't win up there.

Great days. That S****horpe game was Ian Pearce's only appearance for us. The 5-0 at Hillsborough was actually pretty hilarious, they didn't take the lead until just before half time and were 5-0 up after about 60 minutes. We had plenty of chances ourselves too. Thankfully I lived in Sheffield at the time so didn't have much of a journey home. Preston was one of the few good away days in those two seasons...absolutely woeful first half followed by an amazing second half. Remember Kelvin running the length of the pitch to celebrate McGoldrick's winner.

Mills left in January 2006 and Cranie in the summer of 2007 so quite a while before the Dutch guys. Lancashire was the 'promising' centre back who played a bit under them. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

My mate got one in P4 in the last hour or so and said there were still a few available.

Yep, BT Sport.

Expect it will be announced some time in the next week or two.

Down: Fulham Cardiff Sunderland Up: Leicester QPR Derby

Just got back. Thought we battled well and probably deserved a draw in the end. Reckon JWP could have done a bit more to prevent their first and the second goal looked a bit soft. The frustrating thing about a lot of our play is that we don't test the goalkeeper enough for all of the possession we tend to have. Hope MP starts to use Ramirez a bit more as he was more than useful today.
-
Yep, the kick off isn't ideal for pubs or trains, got mine booked this morning. I'm on the 0811 from Kings Cross so getting into Sunderland at 1150, which looked like the only direct one you could take for this game.
-
Many others bothering with this one despite the kick off time? Think we'll do well to have more than 500 or so up there. Unless I'm being stupid there still isn't any ticket news on the OS which is strange as the game isn't too far away now!
