  1. Went pretty mental in an Irish bar in Barcelona when Lallana got our second against Reading last season. Quite a few people watching the game but I was the only one with any real interest it seems! Few bemused looks afterwards. Rasiak in the last minute in the Derby play-off game as well. Was watching that one at home and lept across the living room when that one went in!
  2. Realistically, I think whoever was in charge of us in 08/09 we still would have gone down. Probably best for Pearson's career to leave us when he did really.
  3. Atmosphere was really **** in the away end today. We've been poor in that respect most games this season.
  4. Mainly been coming on as a sub late in games to protect leads. Doubt he'll be there next season. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  5. From memory that was one of Gillett's very few appearances that season. I think he spent most of it on loan at Doncaster. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  6. Yep, it either was £32 or £35 last season I think. Certainly not as much as £39 anyway. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  7. I was in upper and it was shocking up there; lower definitely seemed the noisier of the two so that says a lot from what has been said above! They made a majority of us sit down up there which probably didn't help matters. Strange because from what I can remember Spurs was one of the better away days last season noise wise. I didn't go to West Brom, Norwich or Liverpool so can't comment on them but we've not been brilliant in terms of atmosphere away from home this season. I thought we were alright at Palace and the second half at Fulham but otherwise can't remember too many noisy away days. The goal celebration at Old Trafford was up there with the best though to be fair! I suppose in our defence that just seems to be how most clubs are these days. Can't remember too many impressive followings at St Mary's this season (Liverpool and Chelsea made a bit of noise once their goals started flying in) and only Hull have had decent home support.
  8. Strange game, not helped by the fact that I'm ill so had a rare sober away day. Thought the atmosphere from our fans was poor (not that I was much help) and Spurs were silent apart from their goals. Not too much to add about the game that hasn't been said already. Very good first half and poor second but the frustrating thing was that by the time they got the winner we had ridden most of their pressure and actually created some half-chances ourselves towards the end. We don't react at all well to conceding. Whenever we do we seem to have horrible five minute periods where the team seem to lose their heads and panic. Defence just hasn't been the same ever since Boruc's moment against Arsenal at the end of November and Lovren hasn't been at his best since returning from injury.
  9. Home Nations Agreement... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  10. Yup. West Brom up there with the worst as well.
  11. Bizarre game, not as good as the scoreline suggests. We'd threatened to give away a couple of goals earlier in the game but that minute or two when they scored twice was pretty surreal! Lambert made a big difference when he came on, not convinced by Rodriguez playing centrally, we just kept hoofing towards him hoping he'd get in behind. Norwich are awful. Doesn't say much for the 'best league in the world' that there are 5 teams below them at the moment!
  12. Spoke to a Palace mate on Saturday and they only paid £37 as well.
  13. I'm heading to Balham as well. Not sure which pub yet though.
  14. Same. Have already booked my train tickets up and Man City is the last of the 20 Prem grounds for me to visit! Their prices are ridiculous when you consider their fans 'protest' (also known as not selling your allocation) about the Arsenal away prices. I've got a mate who's a season ticket holder at City and they're much cheaper than ours, I guess this is how they try and make that money up.
  15. Unfortunately it does seem to be heading this way. Don't think he was anyway near as bad as people are making out on Saturday (most of our good moves involved him) and some of the stick he was getting was ridiculous. There was a bloke in Block 37 in particular who really wound me up!
  16. I'm a big Clyne fan and have generally been calling for him to get the nod ahead of Chambers. However Chambers was class yesterday and probably our best player. Going to be difficult to keep both happy unfortunately.
  17. Just at Liverpool Street. Thought we played ok to be honest but lack of composure in front of goal obviously frustrating. Some of the reactions on here are ridiculous. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  18. Absolute legend and whilst he isn't what he was a year or so ago I still feel he has something to offer us for another couple of seasons.
  19. Going to Hull but giving Sunderland a miss.
  20. Thought we took the full allocation last season? Despite the price, still surprised this has made general sale. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  21. Not sure he'll manage again. Was a very reluctant manager initially at Reading and one of my mates knows his daughter who said he wasn't particularly enjoying it up at Leeds. Get the feeling with him at Reading that it was a situation where everything seemed to fall into place at the same time. He'd been at the club for years in a number of roles, knew the players well and created a decent team spirit. Most Reading 'fans' I know would acknowledge that they rode their luck a bit two years ago. By all accounts Adkins is getting them playing much better football, possibly with players who aren't suited to play it, and despite the takeover issues going on there they are still well placed to make the play-offs.
  22. Not been but that's where I'm planning to start.
  23. Probably wasn't going to this anyway but definitely no chance now with that kick off time! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  24. Don't get the selection of Chambers ahead of Clyne. Chambers is decent but much prefer Clyne. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
