I think I was 7 when I saw my first game (QPR away '96). My brothers are 6 and 7 and the 7 year old is pretty keen about football and spends most of Sundays studying the various league tables in the paper! Unfortunately he claims he's a Man Utd supporter (as most of the kids at his school probably do as well) and I can't be having that! I've told him the only clubs he's allowed to support are Reading, Wycombe, Brentford, Fulham, QPR or Saints....think I'll drag him along to St Mary's at some point next season (assuming we still exist).

Erm...no chance.

Got one against Newcastle in a 4-2 win as well.

Charlton resigned to going down - now playing for pride

Really? When we were both in the Premiership I seem to remember them not taking too many numbers down to us. -
Will be well up for this one. Know a couple of Saints fans at Uni and a few Forest fans as well!

How the "locals" in Luton welcome home British soldiers

Hardly a massive group of protesters though was it? Usual lot on here getting wound up about it...oh well... -
Huddersfield possibly?

I can't remember being in a worse atmosphere to be honest. Their fans were shocking but the Saints fan weren't really up for it either for some reason. I don't think we'd get as much as 28-30,000 if we were in their position, even in the play-off season a couple of years ago we still only average around 23,000 I think.

Was pretty disappointed with that really. Never really looked like scoring but Birmingham were very poor as well, they'll almost certainly come straight back down if they go up. Thought Gillett was probably our best player, no-one was particuarly bad but Davis had a couple of worrying moments.

The Pak v Aus series is in 2010. Guess the most logical places to have the matches would be Birmingham, Manchester and Lord's or The Oval to attract bigger ****stani crowds. Decent chance the Rose Bowl could host one of those games though depending on what's going on at the grounds I mentioned next year...

No, you can still have them posted to you. You don't have to be on the database either.

How many tickets have we been given? 1,000 or so? Got my tickets today.

Hampshire Cricket do it with their memberships...

Only ever go to home games when I'm back home in Maidenhead. Think it's something like 65/70 miles to Southampton.
-
Average attendance in 05/06 was 23,613 and the average in 06/07 was 23,556...so the crowds pretty much stayed the same.

I think he's missed a couple of penalties, one for Everton and one for Sheffield Utd.
-
Yeah he is an awful player. Saw him against us at Deepdale this season and he looked like someone they'd plucked out of the pub at about ten to three...

Giles Clarke wasn't involved with the ECB at the time that test was awarded and he was Chairman of Somerset, not Glamorgan. Hampshire didn't even bid for an Ashes test. The thing that frustrates me (and Bransgrove) is the apparent contradictions in how matches have been awarded. Durham and the Rose Bowl were slowly being given more high profile matches so clearly were the next in line for bigger international games, and then Cardiff came out of nowhere and jumped the queue!

Gray is at Northampton so will be able to beat us next season.

Erm...that's the game where he got injured for about six months!

In Portugal for some reason.

Quite pleased with that date seeing as I'll be home around then, will probably go along.
