  1. Many other Saints fans going in the home end for this one?
  2. That's pretty much how I saw it today as well.
  3. Just looked it up. Crowds were around the 27,000 mark for games against Blackburn, Birmingham and Fulham. 28,000 v Man City and 29,000 v Middlesbrough. Think all of those bar the Boro game were on TV to be fair and bar Man City those sides usually brought pretty low away numbers.
  4. Seem to remember we had a few crowds around the 26-27,00 mark that season though. A dull 0-0 with Birmingham springs to mind.
  5. £1m + that was meant to be obviously!
  6. Load of crap that's spouted on here regularly. We agreed transfers of £1+ for Kamara (who wanted to play in Prem with WBA) and Morrison who wanted to go back to Palace.
  7. Ignore that! Just had to leave a few spaces in the squad...
  8. Got promoted two years in a row via the play-offs, beating Pompey 6-1 in Championship play-off final! Finished 14th in first season up after a decent run at the end of the season and won the league cup. This is where the problem lies... Am registering my squad for Europe but don't have enough players that were developed at Saints. Have three so only need one more, am trying to register some of my Under 18s as Saints developed but even this doesn't seem to work. Any way around this? ****ing annoyed I got rid of the likes of Doble and McNish now...
  9. Well...no. Seeing as the only Championship games he was available for all season were the ones he played for Surrey at the end of the year! And he only played in them because of his woeful form for England.
  10. Yep. Staying in Sheffield again for this one and going with one of my old housemates who's a Huddersfield fan.
  11. I don't think Mascarenhas has done that bad as captain when he's been around. To be fair to him he's never really had a full season of it as he's often had England commitments. Cork realistically is only going to do one more year anyway so I don't see a lot of point in making him captain in all formats if that is the case. His 40 over stats this year weren't that great this year so it might be worth just playing him in the Twenty20s and Championship and giving the younger bowlers a go in the 40 over games.
  12. Yep. Was at University there until this summer so a pretty swift return for me to Sheffield! Conveniently a couple of my mates have a flat in Hillsborough now so am staying with them.
  13. Would largely agree with that. Benham will be released and I've got a feeling Balcombe will be as well. He's out of contract and with injured bowlers like Mascarenhas, Ali, Griffiths and Jones to come back and the younger bowlers like Wood and Riazzudin he could end up way down the pecking order.
  14. Adams out for 194. Lancs need 168 off about 32 overs.
  15. Yep. A lead of 150 or so might even give us a slight chance of winning with some of the funny scores that have been going on this week!
  16. That would be to mathematically confirm safety. Realistically won't need that many. One win from the last two games should do it. Even drawing both would probably be enough.
  17. Surely will be Warwickshire to go with Essex. They are dire. Average first innings score for them is about 150.
  18. The Don Valley isn't a particuarly great place for football though! I was hoping Rotherham would come up as it could have given me an excuse to have a weekend up in Sheffield after I leave Uni in the next few weeks. Agreed that Sheffield is a nicer place than Southampton, although like any other city still has its ropey areas.
  19. Played against Alex Hales in a club 20 over match in 2006. Needless to say, he smashed us about. Think we'll probably lose this one...
  20. Was there today. Bowled pretty well but there was shodding fielding. Mullany was dropped three times, twice on 50 and once on 70odd, all of them off Balcombe, whose bowling was nowhere near as bad as the figures suggest.
  21. Dunno about Dawson. But the Reid one was us offering them Kenton and Ormerod plus a couple of million for him. The offer was accepted but he rejected us and went to Spurs.
  22. Was there today, ****ing hell that was ridiculous. Woakes looked such a class act, never looked like getting out.
  23. Finktank have my home constituency (Maidenhead) to go Lib Dem. That would be absolutely incredible but can't see it happening.
  24. Yeh Kabir is probably one place too high at number 8 but until Dimi comes back not a lot else we can do.
  25. Hardly any MPs are actually from their local constituency.
