He didn't say they were 'bigger' as such. Just gave it the 'triffic ground' (really?!) and 'triffic manager' nonsense.

Bray. Knocked on his door when I worked for the Census last year!

How Many Of The 92 Have You Done?
Berkshire Saint replied to View From The Top's topic in General Sports
Southampton Portsmouth Bournemouth QPR Reading Wycombe Liverpool Leyton Orient Sheffield United Stevenage Fulham Preston Rotherham (when they were at the Don Valley) Leeds Blackburn S****horpe Everton Sheffield Wednesday Peterborough Notts County Derby Crystal Palace Rochdale Birmingham Walsall Stoke Nottingham Forest Huddersfield West Brom Doncaster Aldershot Milwall Coventry Middlesbrough Charlton Leicester West Ham Watford Dagenham 39 I make that. Started going when I was at Uni in Sheffield as couldn't make home games and there were plenty of grounds within easy access from there. Still got quite a few Prem grounds to do and planning on going to most aways between now and the end of the season (Man City and Arsenal are the only league ones I've missed so far this year). Also been to Wembley, Millennium Stadium and go and watch my local Conference South side Maidenhead United quite a bit as well. -
Yep, definitely. Thought Huddersfield were good a couple of years ago and Leeds are generally pretty decent too.

Gutting after being 3-1 up but as plenty have said we would have taken a point. So annoying that Jerome pops up with a goal like that when he's not exactly known for those! Quality in the first half with Guly in particular really good. The miss was pretty bad but only thing he may point to was that it came at him at reasonable pace and an awkward height. Stoke really are as long ball as their critics say they are but to be fair their fans were easily the loudest from the aways I've been to this season.
-
Definitely seemed to be more away fans sat down at the Sunderland game than there had been at our previous home games this season.
-
Yep.

Really need to beat Sunderland. Failing to win that will be worrying. Fulham are decent at home so would take a point there. Stoke is a nailed on 1 or 2-0 defeat. Arsenal is probably our best chance of beating one of the big clubs this season (we'll need to cause an upset or two if we're going to stay up) but still can't see us winning that. Villa seem to be improving but still don't think they're that great. Draw. Grand total of 5 points I reckon.

James Beattie was pretty popular when he was here...

Managed to miss the first half as my brother threw up all over my car in Basingstoke and had to turn back to take him home! Had a row with a steward about getting into the ground but got to see the second half. Thought we were decent, particularly after the goal as the game seemed a bit scruffy immediately after half time but once we scored seemed to settle down nicely. Need to have that extra bit of cutting edge in the final third though as we won't play sides as toothless as Reading too often.

How many tickets do we give away fans?

That's possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard! -
Think the scorer was Joe Garner and was to make it 2-0. I was in the Northam/Kingsland corner as well and this was the first one that came to mind when I saw this thread! God, that was a dreadful season!
-
I was in there too and stood all game as well. Didn't realise stewards were making people sit down! Thought all of our support was stood and didn't see any stewards! Atmosphere really was appalling. Reckon it was even worse than Everton and our singing was as bad as it's been this season as well. Liverpool fans to our right looked like classic PL day-trippers.
-
Pretty dreadful game really. Defence still improving but with that our goal threat disappeared today, never put an average Liverpool under any real pressure at all. Don't understand why Mayuka didn't get a 20 minute run out at the end to have a bit of a go at them.
-
Doesn't surprise me. Can barely remember our keepers making many saves this season.
-
Yep. I'm usually pretty positive but the patterns from the 04/05 season are quickly emerging! I've pretty much resigned myself to relegation already after not winning yesterday. The same season around this time we lost away to a Norwich side that hadn't won all season in the league...I fear we might see something similar at QPR next weekend.
-
I can't see it being rearranged for a while. They'll probably see how both of us get on in the FA Cup and try and get it played on one of those weekends if we both get knocked out early. Otherwise it'll probably end up in midweek sometime late in the season and we'll be playing them twice in quick succession!
-
This is ****. I expect QPR will beat Reading tomorrow as well so we'll be bottom by the time we play!
-
Wasn't that the first league game he hasn't started since the Man City game? Hardly 'not playing' really...
-
Yep.
-
So many sloppy individual errors at the back in the 2nd half today...not sure how a change in manager would make much difference to that? So frustrating as the first half was actually quite encouraging from a defensive point of view! I can't see us keeping a clean sheet all season. Thought Guly and Davis were our best players.

We couldn't! McKenzie and Katich are playing for their 'home' sides in ths competition and Briggs was missing due to his wedding. -
Pretty scruffy game but West Ham look good for a pretty safe mid table finish. When Carroll gets going he'll get plenty of goals from Jarvis crosses!
-
We were decent until they equalised and despite the odd hint of promise in the second half it was really all over by half time. Unconvinced by Gazzaniga so hope Boruc can be fit and ready to play ASAP, although to be fair the defence didn't help him at all today. Rodriguez was poor, hopefully see Mayuka get a start against Fulham. Everton fans were amongst the worst home fans I've ever seen. The only time I heard them was when they celebrated their goals...genuinely didn't hear any chants from them! Pretty confident Reading (although by all accounts they were decent today) and Norwich are worse than us...just need to find 1 more!
