I had a weird feel of calm watching the game yesterday. Once we went ahead and the next phase of the game began to be played out I really couldn't see Leeds scoring. Ok they hit the bar and had one other shot on target which was saved well but at no time were they cutting us apart or getting in dangerous positions. The defence were magnificent but where I really thought we won the game was in midfield. The 3 in there worked tirelessly to restrict passing lanes, nick balls off their players and force them to play narrow. In all 3 games against them we have completely dominated that area of the pitch, and in different ways too. A truly great day, one that we will never forget.

I've always liked him, never really understood any of the hatred that people on here posted. Managers get things wrong sometimes, all of them do. He's still at the start of his career and now gets a shot in the Premier League. Fair play to him.

As others have said I'll be fully invested on the day but largely ambivalent towards the outcome of we do win. The main bonus of winning is to annoy all the Pompey fans who are furiously jizzing their pants at the prospect of playing us next season while getting the opportunity to punch a horse.

I'm not sure the 10000 Leeds fans who bought tickets in our end will bother traveling to St Mary's that often.

Leeds fans needed to have been to 9 home games this season on a membership. The rest went to ST holders. Or at least that's what a Leeds fan I know told me today.

Richmond is in the ULEZ zone now. There's loads of places to park for free at weekends in nice places of West London where there's no worries about the car. I do it all the time, in fact did it this weekend for an overnight stay. One word of caution for anyone driving up is the top section of the M3, pretty much from Fleet onwards is 50mph because of roadworks and it was pretty slow on Saturday. May be worse next weekend with a load of Saints fans heading up.

If Bazunu was fit tomorrow I'd pick McCarthy because he's the man in the hot seat and hasn't done much wrong. I don't believe that chopping and changing keepers, especially ones with different qualities and styles of game is useful for the team. He also has way more experience which may be useful in a big occasion. I agree that McCarthy is better than he was with his feet but he's still way more likely to scuff one or miscontrol than Bazunu.

It was fun at first but then just carried on far too long and people started being dicks.
