  1. Me too. Terrible corners and he wasted quite a few crossing opportunities from good positions when he was in space down the right. Still, shouldn't grumble after that performance. It was a treat to watch. We bossed the midfield with embarrassing ease and Morgan's goal was incredible.
  2. Thought it was an embarrassing chant, but then if I was that bothered I could always try and start something else off. No need to copy his chant from Palace though, can't we be more original?
  3. Most of the RB's I've seen this season in League 1 have been better than him.
  4. Met quite a few in the late 90's when I worked in a shop in town. Ken Monkou was by far the friendliest and used to chat away quite freely and even bought a few cd's on my recommendation. Carlton Palmer was a nice bloke, as was Egil and of course Matty was always happy to stop and talk. Franny was also very friendly. Mark Paul (remember him??) seemed quite taken that I knew who he was. David Hirst on the other hand was a right mardy plank.
  5. Nothing is better when Lovejoy does it. Except suicide perhaps.
  6. Futebol by Alex Bellos is worth a read. Covers the history of Brazillian football and includes plenty about Charles Miller.
  7. Internet stream, although I might pay as I do really like Haye and with Hayemaker Promotions putting on the show at least the money goes primarily to him. Would have gone to the fight if it was in London, seen Haye live 4 times previously. If Haye doesn't win this he might as well quit. Ruiz has been pretty inactive over the past 5 or so years and not particularly impressive when he has fought. He does have a good chin (only been stopped once, by David Tua I think) but Haye should be able to create enough angles and openings to force a stoppage by the mid rounds. If it does go on any longer then Ruiz has a chance on points but Haye's stamina in hugely better than it was even 3 years ago. Win this. Pay Valuev to sidestep his contracted rematch and let's get a Klitchsko in the ring. Heavyweight boxing needs that to happen.
  8. Oh. I feel like a right gimp now.
  9. Really can't get my head round that attitude. If you don't like the people in the Northam at the moment, sit somewhere else. There will be loads more happy clappers if we get back to the Premier League. If Saints are playing why would you not want to go? Doesn't matter what league we're in.
  10. What about away games? Don't they count? Home games are easy. Personally I think it's taking the time and money to travel all round the country that makes the difference. I've only missed one home game (Franchise in the league) due to a wedding, and 4 Saturday away games due to lack of finances. Sadly I can't make any midweek aways that take longer than 2 hours to drive to due to childcare issues. Makes me chuckle that some people make zero effort to attend away games. I only work part time yet make sure I make every game possible even though at times this is against better financial judgement. What it boils down to is the fact that if Saints are playing, I want to be there and it really hacks me off if I'm not.
  11. Steve Butler, ex Maidstone, Watford, Cambridge and Brentford. Banged in a fair few goals in his time but he's 48 now.
  12. No, but I'll crack one off in the ground if we beat Southend and get into the play offs.
  13. Lallana was my MOM just for the backheel flick turn thing he did on the halfway line.
  14. We just drank cans on the street. Cheap and no queues.
  15. I'm going naked with full red and white body paint. Please don't laugh at the size of my penis.
  16. What was with the celebration for Lambert's goal? Papa cleaned his boots and then Lambert pretended to give him a coin. Let's kick racism out of football.
  17. He got touched, but not enough to warrant the comically awful dive. We didn't play well going forward but were solid throughout the whole team and restricted them to set pieces, crosses from deep and the odd long ranger, although Franchise should have done better with a couple of loose balls that fell to them in the box. Lambert's 3rd was worth the trip alone. I liked the split second collective intake of breath in the away end as everyone tried to work out if the ball was going in as it sailed over the keeper's head.
  18. Fat people sat next to you who take up all their seat and half of yours.
  19. Completely agree. Awful song. I remember a large bunch of Saints fans laughing at Spurs for singing it at WHL 10 years or so ago. And now we're doing it. Every game. At Norwich there was a woman in the back row sat down reading a magazine.
  20. We were saying that during the game. Our defenders gave cheap possession away far too often last night which hasn't happened for the past few games. This caused the team to lose it's rhythm as the midfield then spent most of their time closing down the Swindon players rather than gaining territory and position with the ball at their feet. Puncheon looked lost without an attacking full back creating space for him. Without any overlaps down that side it allowed Swindon to effectively double up on him as there was no one making runs and taking a defender away. Hammond seemed fairly anonymous which was unfortunate. Definitely under par last night. I'm sure we'll improve on Saturday away at Franchise and hope for a win if only to derail any hope the Fake Club have of making the play offs. Oh, and anything that annoys Paul Ince is fine by me.
  21. The fact he used "2moz" in the thread title suggests he most probably is.
  22. Yes http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4879975.Developers_queue_up_to_build_snow_dome/ At least we'll get crane hire nice and cheap if a new stadium/complex is built. I'm sure Markus can do some sort of deal with his family on that.
  23. Maybe he does. Why not ask him?
