  1. Add a couple of wins against Brighton and knocking a Prem team or 2 out of cups and that sounds superb.
  2. Just wondered how many everyone has done? I haven't included friendlies in my total, but Saturday's game against Walsall is. I've been to 44 out of 53. All home league and cup games plus 14 away. I'm sure some have done every match?
  3. Maybe 'buy' was the wrong word to use!
  4. When tickets are released to the database can we buy as many as we like?
  5. Fair play to all those fans who have kept turning up for games week in week out for the past two seasons. I've enjoyed finding out who our real fans are, and it does seem that we have a lot more than I imagined we would in League 1. I have no beef with the sort of football fans who don't really support Saints but live locally and want to turn up for a few games a season just to watch a game of football. It's the ones who claimed to be big fans but mysteriously disappeared when we dropped down to the 3rd tier that hack me off. Especially when they come crawling out the woodwork and start moaning they can't get an away ticket to Bournemouth or Brighton despite barely having graced St Mary's with their presence for 2 years. Anything over 20000 is pretty impressive in League 1, and it's good to see us comparing favourably with other 'big' teams that have been in this league.
  6. £10 from me donated. Good luck with it, can't wait to see the flag in August.
  7. Strangely that was also voted MOMENT of the season by the Brighton fans. They just can't help themselves when a man strips half naked in front of them, even if he is ex-Palace.

Terraces and cheap tickets. The lack of media exposure.
  9. Imagine if Pompey away is our first game.
  10. Chaplow against Man Utd was good Lambert free kick at Bournemouth Guly against Blackpool Lallana against Bournemouth in League Cup
  11. I'd love to see Jack Cork back here, especially permanently. He was good enough when we had him before and has 2 years more Championship experience since.
  12. Sadly it's true. I just checked: http://www.theposh.com/page/MoysEnd/0,,10427~2239486,00.html
  13. Isn't the terrace going at the end of this season? Agree with those who said Bournemouth. No sentiments from me about which has been the best team, I want the easiest away game! Anyone but Franchise and I'll be happy though.
  14. That's probably about right. £400 for renewals will be fine. Lumping it up by £100 would be a bit harsh unless it's softened by the reintroduction of installments.
  15. If that is true then Pardew is mental.
  16. Best: Brighton, Bournemouth and Orient. Enjoyed my stay up North for the Sheff Wed game. Bristol Rovers was fun because while me and my mate were there enjoying our 4 goals, loads of our other friends were back at his house organising a surprise Birthday celebration which ended up a mini 3 day festival in his garden. Worst: Rochdale. Hideous drive and a lackluster performance.
  17. We should definitely keep him. The link up play between him and Lallana the past few games has been a joy to watch. His sharpness despite a long lay off has proved that he can come back from injury and go straight into the team and make a difference. If both players were at full fitness I'd pick him over Barnard every week. And yes, the finger-wagging was followed by a grin as he turned round. I thought he was trying to signify that he'd never been dead and there's still plenty of life in him.
  18. Yeah, but it's funny! If someone finds something I wrote that was complete nonsense 8 months ago then I'd laugh at it too.
  19. [Pedant alert] The correct answer is the MOMENT when Fonte's header crossed the line at Brighton, or the MOMENT our 3rd goal went in against MK Dons. Or the MOMENT the final whistle went at either of those games How a whole game can be a moment is beyond me. [/pedant alert]
  20. Hahahahaha.
  21. I might not bother going now there's nothing to play for. My front garden really could do with a mow and I've been meaning to go to the tip for ages.
  22. From my position on the halfway line I only noticed a couple of "going down" songs, which to be fair are par for the course. We've had it sung enough at us in the past. The Plymouth fans around us were more concerned with the mispronunciation of "hampshire" which they felt felt was missing an "h". They also spent a lot of time moaning at the ref. Saints fans were brilliant. The Plymouth fans we spoke to were sound and congratulating us afterwards. Fair play to Connolly at the end of the game for coming round and applauding all the Plymouth fans who clapped back. Nice touch.
  23. Comfortable win. I liked the delay in celebrating Connolly's goal as no one could quite judge if his lob was going in. That said, I'll miss standing on terraces if we get promoted.
  24. Not sure why people are worried about going in the home end. Just keep quiet and don't celebrate if Saints score (hard I know, but better than getting a slap) If someone asks who you support just lie. Pick any team at random and say you were down that way for the weekend and fancied watching a game. That's what I'll be doing anyway.
  25. I think it's taken him a while to get used to the role and formation he is playing in under Adkins, but now he seems more comfortable in it and is performing well. He is definitely playing deeper than last season and is subsequently struggling to get into the box in time to meet the sort of crosses he was nodding in for fun under Pardew. He is such a crucial player for us. Even if he doesn't appear to be playing well at times, he is still having a big influence on the game and causing the other team problems.
