This LulzSec hack is brilliant. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/18/sun-website-hacked-lulzsec

Nice. Reading their twitter account now. Most amusing. http://twitter.com/#!/lulzsec "We have joy, we have fun, we have messed up Murdoch's Sun" Hahaha.

Come on Peru. It's just like watching Saints last season.
-
I haven't seen Kaka, maybe he's injured. Lucio, Fred, Pato, Robinho, Lucas (!), Naymar etc etc have all been playing though.
-
Mental wasn't it? I've seen the odd bit of this tournament and Brazil have looked so bad that even England might beat them.

Every summer I get excited about the start of the season and go to a friendly before beconing bored witless after about 20 minutes and wishing I hadn't bothered. So this year I shan't! I'll go to Totton on Wednesday though as I'm interested in seeing how good some of the Academy team are.

I'm in Block 36 and have to say it's a good position. Most games people stand up from 37 round into the Northam so you get all the atmosphere without having to do the stand up sit down thing if the stewards come around. There's not a great deal of season ticket holders in our block either which will give you ample opportunity to get an aisle seat which in my opinion is a luxury well worth having. If Blocks 1-3 were open I'd definitely move over that side because the atmosphere and banter with the away fans is much better than in the Northam, otherwise 36 is pretty good.

Growing up in Kent I supported Maidstone who at that time (early 80's) were in the Conference. My Dad isn't really into football but used to take me to Stones games while telling me how good Kevin Keegan was. Then Saints signed him and as an impressionable youngster at a school where supporting a top flight team appeared to be the norm I decided to follow Saints too despite the fact that my Mum's half of the family are all big Spurs fans. My Dad, bless him, would then take me to Saints away games in London and my sister's best friends Dad who is a lifelong Saints fan but lived in Kent started letting me tag along with him too. Sadly Maidstone went bust. At the same time (1994) I was applying to University, chose to come to Southampton and have been here ever since. In fact the first thing I did when arriving in Southampton was to go to the Dell and buy a ticket for the next match. Maidstone have reformed and are currently in the Ryman South. I still go to a few games a season when they don't clash with Saints matches although those times are few and far between.

That's a great video. No messing from the keepers, grab the ball and whack it straight up the field.

Brilliant. The whole saga sounds even more ridiculous when people from other countries discuss it. Such a pity Have I Got News For You isn't on at the moment. I wonder if the BBC thought of bringing it back for a phone hacking special?

Beautiful sprint from Cavendish. And he's got the Green Jersey now too. Love it.

I wonder if he donated his, no doubt hefty, payment for the story to a cystic fibrosis charity. And what gives him the right to decide whether someone else's son's medical condition is splashed across the media? As for the question about why the Browns then went to Brooks' wedding and other social engagements after the story was released, well it was political. If he or she hadn't gone then the NI papers would have had it in for them even more than they did at the end of Brown's reign. As Peter Mandleson wrote yesterday, it was all to do with fear, and no doubt this was personal and political fear.

Which page? Is it the one with a picture of Rebecca Brooks?

As did dildoing. I'm sure there's one word we can put in that will see her naked with a huge vibrator soved up her anus.

I think this is now between Andy Schleck and Evans. Contador looks injured and is riding strangely. Gilbert is fantastic. Always liked him since he was one of the first cyclists to come out strongly against drug taking to the point where many of his fellow riders wouldn't talk to him. I reckon he'll take the green jersey by grabbing enough points on the stages where Cav strolls in 30 minutes behind.

OH MY GOD. Since when is f e l c h ing a swear word? Outrageous censorship.

She turned down my request for some *****ing. Clearly frigid.

Yes, nothing was done by all the parties. Not just the Governemnt. I don't remember the Tories standing up to argue against the relaxation of banking regulations, or hassling Labour into having Parliamentary discussions on the role of News International.

Do you cope ok with missing out on the latest Express headline about Princess Diana talking to Madeline McCann from beyond the grave about the weather, house prices and crackpot medical stories?
-
Indeed. She's clearly quite dumb. Luckily she's not actually my councillor, just one of the 2 in our village so my vote in the recent elections didn't go to her.

I've worked in a few shops that sell newspapers and have to say that most people buy the same paper every single day. Sometimes they will buy an extra paper to go with their normal choice but mostly readers are quite loyal. Mind you I do have to wonder about what some of them actually read. Our local Lib Dem councillor buys the Mail. I have asked her why, considering the Mail hate the Lib Dems and most of their political articles probably go against most traditional Lib Dem beliefs and policies. She replied, "Oh do they? I hadn't noticed". Christ.

Of course it is. If the roles were reversed all the Tory MP's and voters would be doing the same. I think the point needs to be made though that when the original allegations were exposed none of the parties did anything about it. Why? Well they were all too scared. This wasn't just an issue for the Government to raise, it was one Parliament should have raised. However MP's of all parties were quiet on the matter. The article by Peter Mandleson in today's Guardian might go some way to explaining why: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/jul/11/fear-labour-media-reform-pcc

For all those who were buying a copy today to keep in pristine condition, well so were millions of other people. Therefore the newspaper will probably end up being worth less than the £1 you wasted on it. Also, if you want to read something that covers football below the Premiership then why not buy the Football League Paper?
