Leeds cap it at £21 if both teams agree. At least that's according to a Leeds fan I know.
-
Apparently Leeds contact all the clubs at the start of season and ask if they'll agree to a price cap for both games. We must have said no. So rather than both teams making it £30 for away fans we both charge the price of an equivalent seat in the home end.

This is a definite positive if we stay in the Championship. No point having rivals if we never play each other. The games are massive. Everything about them is huge for the fans living around here, many of who work with each other or have friends who support the other team. It's all anyone will talk about for weeks beforehand. Every other game just part of the journey to get to derby day. Personally I can't wait for them to happen.

They are good which shows that there's more depth to this league than just the top 4. Was impressed by them at their place and it will be a tough game.

Lumley has been ok, although the goal he let in at Watford in the cup was poor.

I dunno, I think it just depends on the manager's personality. Klopp can be a twat to interviewers, Mourinho was/is incredibly defensive at times. Wenger had his moments too.

Definitely, again this tactic is used by a lot of teams now. Gone are the days of full backs all staying wide with the winger and getting close to try and block every cross. Looking at the stats for this season we are the third lowest team in terms of crosses again the league, and mid table for the number of completed crosses against. That perhaps suggests that our CB's aren't dealing with the crosses that well because if we're 3rd lowest in terms of crosses conceded we should be lower in the table for completed crosses against.

Been saying it for months that it's not Manning's poor positioning and that it's tactical. Quite a lot of teams defend in this way, it's certainly not just something that Martin has dreamed up on his own.

Private Eye have been predicting for a while that the Sun will back Starmer.

Possibly the greatest moment of the season at Hibs today

They were banging the beat to get everyone shouting "the Saints". It worked because people joined in. From that more songs came. Once a crowd is sparked into singing it quite often leads to more chants.

He was in a very similar position to Rothwell's second goal against Huddersfield. Rather than blasting it into the far side of the goal he dithered, then tried to curve it around the keeper into the near post but it was a tame effort which the keeper saved easily. I'm not even sure it was on target.

These guys were at the front. Absolute morons trying to get a flat atmosphere going, what were they thinking? We were 1-0 up, Leicester had lost and the crowd was quiet for ages before they stared. There's literally no way you are punching someone at a game for banging on a board, don't be ridiculous.
-
How do you prepare for play off games now? What practical things can the manager and coaches be doing in March to get ready for games in May? We won't know who we are going to be playing until the season finishes, or maybe a week before depending on the table.
-
Massively helped by the guys banging the hoardings getting chucked out. Before that started it was all just people sat around chatting like they were at a pre season friendly.
-
Oh yeah we did get a bit sloppy. It happens to most teams in all games but the real top teams get through it and bang in a second when they are on top. Agree about Brooks. The guy is some player but doesn't always look like a part of the team. He had 2 chances to put Fraser in with quite easy passes but messed both of them up.
-
One point gained on Leicester. Just need Ipswich and Leeds to lose now and it will have been a positive day.
-
Enough chances to win at a canter. The 10 minutes of the ginger steward and the blokes banging the hoardings in the Kingsland Northern corner was a non footballing highlight of the season. Absolutely hilarious.

Is there any data to back up the commonly held assumption that we are "always terrible after a long break" or is it one of those myths that's developed with no facts to back it up? Just wondered if anyone knew that this was categorically the case. I can't be arsed to go back over results to check.

Was always a risky gag because there was a chance that may have happened. Will pass on your message.

If we don't go up and SR are convinced the whole season was a complete and utter failure then I'm sure they will sack the manager. If we don't go up and they don't sack him then we'll assume that although he didn't reach their stated goals in the media they are happy with how he did.

Your mum does, we have some interesting conversations on DM.

Put yourself in the position of the Wales manager. You're playing a game to decide whether you qualify for a major tournament and the game is locked at 0-0. Your side looks unlikely to score against a team including the defensive titan Jan Bednarek while you have a player sat on the bench who is proven to be able to produce a little bit of magic. Do you a) give it a try and hope he helps secure a place in the finals? Or b) leave him on the bench because he might pick up a little knock that puts him out for a week or 2 when the team you manage doesn't have a game for a few months.

I'm not against it but wouldn't be part of it myself. It happens at a lot of other clubs so it was pretty inevitable it would happen here at some point. It's hardly a secret that our home atmosphere isn't that great, even when we have been winning a lot it's not that good. If this group can improve that then fair play to them. Just as long as they don't have a drum or any other instruments.
