I just looked at the email and the silver and gold bolt ons. Very much have the same opinion as you, they seem like an absolute rip off and possibly unfair to people who have been traveling up and down the country every other week. No way will I be buying one. The offer of merch etc is irrelevant to me as I never buy any. On the face of it this seems like a crude move by the club, and one which will hopefully fall flat on its arse. Well done Ipswich. They are a decent club and deserve promotion. It's nice to have a team come up the leagues. Also goes to show that you don't necessarily need a financial advantage to pull off something special. Will be interesting to see if they do what we did in avoiding relegation and then stabilizing in the Premier League for a while.

We had our massive disappointment when we nearly went bust and got relegated 2 leagues. In the grand scheme of things finishing 4th is not a massive disappointment. It's somewhere along the lines of being vaguely inconvenient. If Martin was as tactically inept as you make out we'd be miles down the table because every other manager would have out thought him. People are so overly dramatic.

Ruben Selles has taken over at an even more badly run club and comfortably kept them up. Marti Cifuentes at QPR has been very impressive since he took over, reckon he might have a few suitors at the end of the season. Rohl has done well, fair play to him.

I think it's because most football fans are fickle bellends. If we'd beaten Cardiff and Stoke but still been locked into 4th because of other results then loads of people would have stayed. I left because I knew no one would stay and that it would end up being a bit embarrassing.

From the other end I thought it was Bree who the attacker was up against and kind of just accepted it because he isn't that good. THB, on the other hand, is much better and should have done more to prevent the goal.

Also the south section of the M25 is closed around Leatherhead. I know it's normally quicker to go around the northern section but it reduces the options.

And those who do change too much get labeled as tinkerers or have accusations thrown that they don't know their best formation. Another thing is the "doesn't change tactics in a game" as if there's other managers out there who react to match situations and get their subs right every time, or continually change formation and turn games around. Yes, this happens sometimes. It's happened for Martin this season. However, largely you'll find that a lot of managers try stuff that doesn't work.

Just to add that the whole "Swansea don't want to sell us their players because of the way Martin left" stuff seems irrelevant now because other than Grimes who ended up staying there the other ones we were linked with have been pretty crap this season.

Exactly. Both clubs messed up their striker signing for one reason or another. Failure to go up will see both looking back at their decisions as key contributors to non promotion. Leeds will also be stuck with him if they can't get rid in the summer and I imagine he's on very chunky wages.

Leeds rolled over themselves yesterday. Nothing in that performance suggests they are remotely fussed about promotion. It was probably worse than us against Leicester because at least Leicester have a load of good players whereas QPR are highly ordinary.

Piroe has been an absolutely shit signing for Leeds. Their fans can't stand him.

I wish we had a manager and players who know how to win important games. It's the sort of never say die attitude and the will to win that sets Leeds apart from teams like us.

£47 for a couple of teams putting out their reserves in a meaningless game seems like a bargain.

I know a few Leeds fans who moan he doesn't have a plan B. Apart from the odd few clubs it seems fans of most teams are complaining about stuff. Plenty of other clubs would look at us and think we are decent but reading here you would think we're 15th or something. Lots of football fans are so unnecessarily negative about their own team.

Yeah, Cardiff fans are sound and it's a great city. Singing "England, England" to them is a waste of time because within Wales they are seen almost as English by their fellow countrymen. Likewise the utterly pathetic "sheep shaggers" chants. Fuck all sheep in Cardiff.

Thought we played well, first half was up there with as good as we've been all season and come half time we should have been miles ahead. Second half was tighter but we still created enough chances to clearly win. Both their goals were somewhat lucky. Sad news about Stu Armstrong, he'll be a big miss for the rest of the season.
