  1. I sold half my Ripple after it tanked, but sold at $2.00. Still happy with it as I bought at $0.22. Moved it back to Ether which is steady. I still think Ripple could go to $5, so have kept half. Slightly down on Tron though but will HODL Been tempted by NEO and ADA too, but it's not been a great week for Cryptos All my initial investments are out and so now I am playing with my winnings.
  2. Beginners luck LOL
  3. Loving Ripple, some 1500% up in just 4 weeks. Mental. Cashed in Litecoin and Bitcoin. Held on to Ether which is 12% up on yesterday. I'm on TRX which is up 250% on yesterday. Trying to get ADA and NEO at the moment.
  4. As it stands, I've had a 1000%+ return in December alone. It's not crashed yet. It has further to go. The recent spike was due to 2 Japanese banks trialing the tech, but it is holding above the $2 mark, at $2.26. There are more banks in the pipeline as only 15 of the worlds top 50 banks are on it. There are also rumours that Ripple will be added to Coinbase, which if it is the case, demand will go through the roof, as it will open the crypto to the masses.
  5. Ripple (XRP) has done pretty well for me over the last two weeks. Bought in at $0.22 and it is currently trading at $1.46 a nice little 500%+ return in two weeks.
  6. Indeed, the most profitable part in the making of coffee is the processing of the beans, as opposed to the harvesting of them. Without the tariff, they could process in Africa, meaning we all would get cheaper coffee, whilst helping Africa work its way out of poverty. But **** em, as long as we're alright.
  7. So trade talks start... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42368096
  8. This is twice as much fun as the EU and Death of the Labour Party thread put together.
  9. I used Bittrex, but a right pain in the arse. I had to use Bitcoin from Coinbase to buy it. It's up to $0.29 from $0.24 a few days ago. 20% ish up in a couple of days
  10. 260% in a week!!!!
  11. I got in early October at £3,295. It's now £11,759. A nice 357% return in little over 8 weeks. Obviously getting 6 months ago means you must be flying, as it was around £1,000. The current price is high and people are talking of bubbles, but the recent rise this week has been down to the Bitcoin Futures market opening up, as well as people (including financial services businesses) jumping on the bandwagon. I've bought into Ripple, as this seeks to enhance existing financial markets, whereas Bitcoin, Ether etc seek to disrupt them. But at the end of the day, it is a gamble and you should only gamble what you can afford to lose.
  12. I use Coinbase. Simple to use. But you can only by Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin. Trading in Ripple XRP is a little more complicated. I bought Ripple using my bitcoin account on Coinbase. Be careful of the "Exchange" rates offered from different platforms.
  13. Ripple has lost a bit in the last week. It is around $0.23 at the moment. These guys reckon US$1000+... meaning a £100 investment now, could be worth half a million quid in two years. I don't see it myself, even after looking at Bitcoin and Ether's meteoric rise. If Ripple XRP becomes the defacto money transfer tech and replaces SWIFT, then I'm guessing it could get to $10 within a few years. That would still give a nice return of 5000%. But it is a completely speculative gamble, so only put down what you can afford to lose.

  15. I've got some bitcoin, a little in Ether and a small amount of Litecoin. Bought into Ripple (XRP) last week.
  16. Yes, whilst the value of bitcoin is going up, the value of a season ticket is falling
  17. I prefer to look at the bigger picture. If we fail to create products and services that the world wants to buy, we will falter as a nation, with or without a trade deal with the EU. If we succeed as a nation in creating products and services that the world wants to buy, then we will succeed, with or without a deal with the EU (although having a deal with the EU, makes it a bit easier to sell to the EU market). The US has no deal with the EU, yet many of us are carrying iPhones, sat at US branded PC's running US software. All sold to us without a trade deal, whilst generating billions in wealth for the companies concerned, their employees and the nation that taxes them. My general optimism or pessimism about the nations future prosperity is intrinsically linked to the entrepreneurial spirit or lack of spirit. Unfortunately lefty snowflakes don't see this and prefer to get wrapped up in red tape. An EU trade deal or staying in the EU would give short term stability no doubt, but means diddly squat when it comes to long term prosperity of the nation. If we fail to create, we're ****ed with or without an EU trade deal.

  19. Very misleading article, trying to make them alike. Playing devils advocate here, but one group wants to remove the other, so that they can live the way they want to live somewhere else. The other group wants to impose their way of life on and control the other. In that context, you couldn't get two views far more opposed.
  20. Wow. Welsh Labour minister commits suicide after being suspended last friday over allegations over his personal conduct ... leaving a wife and two kids http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-41904161
  21. Paper profit up to now, but may cash in now. A neat on free ST for next year vs £1 in interest from the bank looks like a good call
  22. It's just part and parcel of selling your best players every summer
  23. Not a lot, as it is akin to sitting at a roulette wheel, which is more fun to be honest. Just bought £1k worth of Bitcoin on Coinbase, it stands at £1480 now, so that's next year's season ticket nearly paid for. TBH I did it out of curiosity to see what all the fuss is about. It was fun watching it go up and down like a tarts knickers on an almost hourly basis. More fun than posting on the EU or JC threads in the lounge
  24. Indeed hindsight is a wonderful thing. Made 49% on bitcoin since the beginning of october
  25. Ethereum is up 2495% over the last 12 months.
