So Gordon Clown and Alistair Dulling tell the banks to pass on the cuts and yet the one bank they are in control of, doesn't.
If I was one of the CEO's of the other banks, I would tell them to get rooted!
Entrepreneurs are businessmen with flair, whereas your defintition of a business man is clearly that of a bean counter - who are rarely highly rated.
With regards to his list of directorships of a number of Ltd companies, a significant number of those companies have been dissolved, are holding companies or are dormant. The rating of a businessman has nothing to do with the number of directorships (I could go to Companies House and set up 30-40 businesses for about £4.5-6k - does that make me a highly rated?), but more to do with the net profit or value to the shareholders that they generate. His two highest profile appointments (SLH and WH Ireland) are not delivering value to their shareholders, and are performing badly.
It seems to me the only people who rate him highly are his supporters on here. I agree he's the best we've got until someone comes in and takes over, but I certainly would not rate him highly.
Dibden, not been funny, but highly rated by who?
He's no Alan Sugar, Richard Branson or Bill Gates is he? He isn't on the Sunday Times Top 1000 rich list or the Forbes list of global wealthy people.
He isn't leading top FTSE listed businesses but running two (small time in the scheme of things) AIM listed companies, both of which have share prices going south and are struggling.
Can you point me in the direction of where he is highly rated?
...and to add insult to injury, you're not allowed to sit at your favourite table whereby you enjoyed the company of other regular diners, despite the fact that the waiters and waitresses serve all of the adjoining tables!
I know St Jason and he bleeds red and white.
For him to go this far, shows how bad things are. What is worse is that it won't get better any time soon.
The reason I pick up on the highlighted text is that "4 points off the play offs" sounds really good, however we are 4 points off sixth place, with the best part of 60 points off the playoffs. So with 20 wins, we should make it, but can you honestly see us winning 20 of our remaining 36 games?
If you are going to stick up for scooby, you need to get your facts straight first . Here is the Boot Boy's record including the Plymouth game
Plymouth = Lost
S****horpe = Drew
Ipswich = Drew
Wolves = Drew
Blackpool = Drew
Leicester = Won
Hull = Lost
Coventry = Drew
I make that 8 points in 8 games :rolleyes:.
I'll drop Scooby a lifeline.....(as it is 2-0 to Bognor on the Golden Duo vs Boot Boy debate with Scooby)....although both management teams are EQUAL on points, the Golden Duo have +3 goal difference!!
Hey Scooby, don't want to **** on your fireworks but the Golden Duo have acheived 8 points in their first 8 games:
W2
D2
L4
The boot boy also achieved 8 points from his first 8 games.
W1
D5
L2
When will you let facts get in the way of a good argument????
Hail St Mary's,
Full of Grace,
The Lowe is with thee.
Blessed art thou among football stadia,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Matty.
Holy St Mary's,
Mother of Le God,
pray for us supporters now,
and at the hour of our club's death.
Amen
To be fair, I thought I would give Lowe's experiment 10 games, before judging.
In the Boot Boy's 1st 10 league games, he achieved 11 points. This means that the Golden Duo will need 7 points from the next 3 league games to better the Boot Boy.
So Scooby, how confident are you of 2 wins and a draw from the next three games?
Golden Duo's Record
W1
L4
D2
5 points from 7 games
Boot Boy's 1st 7 games (including Plymouth when he only came in the day before)
W1
L2
D4
I make that 7 points from 7 games.
Can you now explain why the boot boy delivered worse results than the golden duo?
Next you'll be telling us that W H Ireland is one of the leading financial companies in the world
