  1. It's nice to see a couple of lefties give credit, where credit is due. The 'thatcher' effect without doubt improved national prosperity. For those that purely credit membership of the EEC for our good fortunes, is naive beyond belief.
  2. There are many on banning orders that haven't even thrown a punch at football. In fact, disorder is few and far between these days. The heady days of hooliganism are long gone, predominantly down to the law and enforcement. So where hooliganism is no longer tolerated, why can't the same be applied to extremism? Why is it tolerated? Surely any lad has as much right to express an opinion as anyone else? Do we exclude car thieves, lads who get a bit out of hand down the pub on a Friday night? What about me? I have a speeding ticket. I've done a driver awareness course. In speeding, I put myself and others potentially at risk. As motoring accidents due to speeding, kill more people than terrorism, should I not be allowed to express an opinion?
  3. I would suggest having a scrap with like minded individuals isn't on a par with murdering kids, but that aside many of the working class feel that they are not being listened to and that nothing is being done to tackle the latest wave of extremism. They feel the need to speak up. And why shouldn't they? It seems that Islamic terrorists get an easier ride than risk supporters. Let's take the more recent Pompey fixtures, with the bubble coaches. A massive infringement of our human rights. You couldn't go to a football match in Portsmouth without police supervision, yet you could come back to the UK from Syria after freshly beheading someone completely unchallenged. In fact, may lads I know of, fail to see how the restrictions on football fans (such as banning orders and handing passports in when England play) cannot be applied to the extremists. Take the Saints lads that escaped prison but received banning orders for homophobic chanting ("does your boyfriend know you're here??") whilst Islamic extremists can shout their bile and hatred and nothing is done... When considering how football fans have been treated over the years, yet those people causing offence and inciting violence (like in that picture above) are tolerated, can you not see an injustice in that? I do and I can see why it's making people angry.
  4. Why does that not surprise me ;-)
  5. I actually agree with this, but it won't sit well with the sense of entitlement that has been bred into the Post-Millennials... if they want to study "Outer Mongolian Jazz from the 16th Century", they CAN... whilst someone else should HAVE to pay for it.
  6. My old man used to say that if you don't vote Labour when you are young, you haven't got a heart. But if you don't vote Tory when you are older, you haven't got a head.
  7. It's no shock really. Most people who enter teaching are left-leaning, as is the case with any helping/caring profession. I would hazard a guess that most people who enter banking are right wing, in contrast. My nephew decided to start a little business in his school to make a few extra quid. He bought multi-packs of crisps, broke them down and sold them separately for a small profit. He was suspended, not because he was re-selling crisps from multi-packs (which you are not allowed to do) or not because he was selling stuff in school... but wait for it... because he was making a profit. So instead of championing his entrepreneurship, he was punished for making a profit. As if profit is the root of all evil. With that attitude in our schools, who's going to create the wealth to pay for all of this social justice??
  8. Errrrr I've followed Saints home and away for 30 years and know plenty of Saints lads. I've been everywhere from Pompey to Liverpool, Bucharest to Prague (I've also done a few England trips with Saints and Brighton lads). So whilst I might not be your text book definition of a 'lad', I probably have a better take on it than most.
  9. The best story of the day was when a pub load of Spurs lads left and bumped into a load of Chelsea outside. They faced each other and gave each other a round of applause... then went off to the march. 10,000 lads who have a history of disorder... with bitter rivalries...and not a single arrest. They've totally shown up EDL, Britain First, Antifa and UAF... who were outnumbered and outclassed in every way.
  10. Most of that is EDL related. The EDL has nothing to do the the Football Lads Alliance (FLA)... Up to 10,000 lads from every club across the land gathered... to march against extremism. Not a single arrest. Just a simple march from St Paul's to London Bridge, laying wreaths for the victims with a minute's silence. Then a minute's applause. Millwall walking alongside West Ham. Chelsea alongside Spurs. Saints with Pompey. Palace with Brighton. etc etc No club colours, no tribal chanting. Normally these lads would be quite happy to bash the **** out of each other, yet they set aside their differences to make their peaceful protest. Quite remarkable really. Seems like the silent majority are waking up.
  11. I think he has it spot on... Just fast forward to 4.28 and listen from there... he closes with "form your own party and get on with it" Nothing to do with thick tribal types, me ol' pedigree chum...
  12. Does that not fall on those who requisitioned the work? Surely they are duty bound to do their due dilligence on all contractors? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. I would suggest that France's problems are less to do with the EU (and the Euro) and more to do with employment legislation that strangleholds business. Any attempt to become more like the UK or Germany is strongly resisted by the Unions. Greece, Italy and Spain, however, are unable to respond in the way they may have done in the past, as membership of the single currency prevents them from doing so. I mean, who's stupid idea was it to tie Southern Europe's economies to Northern Europe... still no apology from the perpetrators in Brussels.
  14. ... and that is with Government spending in France being 57% of GDP (compared to 42% in the UK). Showing that the socialists spending their way out of recession, isn't always the answer...
  15. What the euro experiment has done to the youth of southern Europe, is nothing short of scandelous... yet no apology is made by their "representatives" in Brussels
  16. LOLs. You've been owned by me a few times on here, without even trying too hard Debating on a footie forum, where people have time to google **** to make their point or consider their response (or generally spout crap), is completely different to live debating. I'm a seasoned debater (not a 'mass' one before you say it), starting at school, competing nationally and now I'm a thought leader often being involved in industry panel debates.
  17. I listen to him fairly regularly. Don't get me wrong. He is good and often makes very strong arguments. But he is not infallible. Showing up an idiot live on air is not that difficult TBH.
  18. Your so called star rinses some clueless idiot on the radio to make him look stupid... if thats what it takes to be a star, standards are slipping. Wouldnt be too difficult to take him on... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. It wouldnt have been me. I could own that pompous leftie **** any day of the week... on any subject. Sorry Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. So it is only a terrorist attack if a white person commits it... Diane Racist Abbott describes last night's attack as a terrorist attack, whilst London and Manchester were merely 'incidents' What is it with some lefties...
  21. Can you point me to where i have blamed them??? I highlighted a multitude of those responsible and want them brought to justice... Keep taking the pills... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. But lefties are justifying it... Not very caring and sharing is it???
  23. No. Just dont think you can justify attacking anyone unprovoked, however slight the attack... but the extreme left wing would view that as collateral damage. Cant wait to see the great unwashed get served on saturday
  24. I'd rather make a spelling mistake than be worse than pompey fan... Stand down knob jockey... if a lefty got smacked and pushed to the ground, you'd be having kittens.. Maybe you missed the bit about him being a volunteer who was helping the victims. I only begrudge paying my taxes when it's wasted on people like you...
  25. The extreme left are worse than pompey fans going around lynching peadiatricians... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
