Ah bless don't we love him and need him in the same way we need and love Alpine. It is still way too early to tell and way too early to get carried away. I posted before that the important thing in life is to enjoy the ride and where it takes you. Ups, downs and sideways. But even though I won't pass judgement until the end of September, I did have a HORRID OMG moment. What happens IF we really DO go nuts and walk this league and have to turn round and say "oh sh*t Scooby was right all along"...... And What happens IF we really DO fall apart come the winter pitches and fall away disasterously and go down and have to turn around and say "oh sh*t Alps was right all along. eek Middle table and memorable moments it is then!

Thinking it through after too many celebratory beers and as mentioned on another thread. Michael Jackson is probably doubly relevant. Sort of the Let's all have a Disco song brought it to mind Allegedly his US problems were sort of relevant but it's been bugging me that we might just be starting something said you wanna be startin’ somethin’ You got to be startin’ somethin’ I said you wanna be startin’ somethin’ You got to be startin’ somethin’ It’s too high to get over (yeah, yeah) Too low to get under (yeah, yeah) And if we actually want to score more than two Keep On With The Force Don't Stop Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Keep On With The Force Don't Stop Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Keep On With The Force Don't Stop Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Keep On With The Force Don't Stop I know it's showing my age but it sort of works, is different from anyone else and TBH would be better if it was as or just before they come out onto the pitch

HOORAY!!! At LAST somebody has actually DISAGREED with something another poster has said. (but ever so politely) Good grief, either they are putting some weird sh*t in the water over there these days or in the words of Michael Glittery Jackson We gotta be Starting Something.... Hmm new goal music???

The bloke who washes the cars at the cement works opposite SMS (not the useful source who washes the trucks mind) reckons that if we stabilise our cash flow and get few more fans back through the doors we might just try and find a gap for somebody who has a fantastic track record of running an operation that brings through young players, but that it would need to fit in with the existing structure and not upset the current applecart. (Well he didn't QUITE say that more like 'ere that kraut bloke wot got poorly we had wid da kids would be good if we got 'im back on a freebie) But I think I got the gist, nearly

Bad memories of Players Lounge and Bristol Rovers....

Actually I have been terminally depressed as I missed out on a biz trip that would have taken in a lot of beer with ericofarabia at SMS for Brum & Derby. Then on top of that I was suffering from acute shock at the way we have decided football should be played. Then add to that the utter astonishment that this new forum has become some sort of weird hippy love in where all the world is pink and fluffy and even Alpine is starting to agree with the trend why WOULDN'T somebody go barmy:-) Anyway enough, I said I'll get happy clappy at the end of the loan window and judge the start to the season, JP and Rupes et al then. Meanwhile Ramadan is coming, so with the holy month here in Dubai maybe it would be a good time for me to put a word in upstairs to 1) set a new record unbeaten run for the CCC, 2) Not sell any more players as the crowds flock back to SMS and people who didn't renew their ST's can't get in and 3) have a word in Sheikh Mo's ear and mention something special could be made to happen if he gave up on Liverpool and set his sights on a new football revolution. But then again, maybe because it's Ramadan I won't be plastered enough to remember to do it. What I will say is that somebody has worked out this might be a good idea, so far I'd prefer their judgement to ours!

Super Super Kids Super Super Kids Super Super Kids Super kids Southampton Now we've got KP out the way there seems to be a vacancy for this song and they are starting to deserve something new -
This has been a most entertaining thread. Obviously JP and the scouting system at SFC have been doing a completely sh*t job and are compounding it by buying or loaning Pulis jnr. After all that same system have been responsible for signing those stand out muppets and left overs that nobody else wanted, Wotton & Holmes, and have been able to find a rank unknown journeyman that doesn't fit the bill in Schneiderlin. Then of course they have dipped into the loan market and brought in a Scunthorpe reject who cannot make his mind up which position he should play in and have capped it all by signing some great lump of a forward with no first team experience and who is so thick he believes that SMS has crowds of 30,000 every week. Great to see that we on here are so professional and detailed in our research that we are happy to believe the comments of a few fans and decide oh so arrogantly once again that the people who do the scouting and payer research are all simply thick. Good grief, have JP and the crew at SMS not earned SOME small sliver of respect yet? Or even a nagging doubt that they MAY know more than an internet message board?

It's a non-entity cup match against a team who blooded youngsters. We haven't retained our place in the CCC and sure as heck ain't got promoted. Either this is pure luck or pure inspiration that the kids seem to be ready willing and able, who cares, live the moment, it won't last surely By heck being a Saints fan has put a smile back on my face for the first time in about 4 years, fanbloodytastic

OK we all know Lowe carried out a "less than wanted" return. But I have to say I think that those who COULD get to games and have chosen not to on principle may have missed a few moments of magic. Life's too short to miss a few weeks when we are hot. There is a LONG way to go yet and it can all go pear shaped But FooK me that was good WOOT for Wembley and UEFA cup might be needed before too long eh.....

Brum are awful and never got going, We are nothing special. Sounds exactly like the Derby write ups. One day somebody may notice it is US that is making these teams look ordinary Oh and they are complaining about our abuse of KP they should be grateful for having had such a great striker in his older days lol

For many years I used to run family vacations, sales meetings and customer events in Thailand. As a result I got to know my way around Bangkok very well ( :-) ) There is a huge market area known as Pratunam mainly aimed at the Wholesale clothing market. Amongst tourists it is also renowned for it's fake and rip off products. Back in the early 80's there was a shop by the Amari Watergate hotel that sold fake football shirts and regularly had our latest "Saints Brand" shirts. Now I don't condone rip-offs but it was always good to see that we made it that far and to actually see Thai kids wearing the shirts. Well, a mate of mine went in there today (actualy a Derby fan on a stopover to Aus) and obviously no Saints kit any more. But it was like a knife in the privates when he "GLOATINGLY" sent me an MMS picture. Of a Sk*te shirt. What REALLY hurt was not the fact it was a sk*te shirt but the fact that it was their SECOND kit. There is a market worldwide for fake 2nd kits, and we don't even warrant a fake first choice kit anymore. JP - you have a mission mate. The longer we stay out of the limelight, the more poor kids will have their lives ruined around the world by being forced to wear such horrific fashion disasters

Saints sign young Czech striker Tomas Pekhart on loan from Spurs
dubai_phil replied to Wildgoose's topic in The Saints
Interesting that Spurs said they wanted him to come to us. Obviously no hard feelings with Rupe's then after the Hoddle saga:-) Reading the Derby Match threads when most pointed out that we could do with a goal machine, and then reading the OS article comments by Hockaday it seems like this could be the equivalent of a real early Christmas present. Our style of play and a goal poaching machine. Jeez WTF is going on? Things seem to be sensible and thought about since JP came on the scene. Whatever next? PA or Sheikh Mo coming in? Really can't stand all this positivity we are Saints fans we are supposed to be permanently surrounded by doom and gloom. -
Don't want him back. Good honest player who gives 100% but the number of times he makes a simple mistake and ends up either scoring an own goal or giving one away. Also, I really do not see him as a "Footballing" defender. He has average pace for a left back and isn't tall enough for a centre half and his distribution, while better than a Benali, is not up to what sounds like our new standards.
