My step-dad just tried for a ticket. He wants to go with my mum. He's only allowed to buy 1 ticket. So they're not going. Even as a STH I cant buy extras to help them go. Why are they being so restrictive?

(If we go down) what will you miss about the Premierleague?
Golden Balls replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
Will miss the ease of watching away games. The standard of football. The hope that you can qualify for Europe. The much higher possibility of winning a trophy. The security that the PL revenue brings and the extra revenue PL football brings to the city as a whole. Wont miss the awkward kick off times and the awful fans. That's about it. I remember thinking last time we went down "at least we now have a chance of winning a league". But no, it got worse. And trust me, when we go down it will get worse again. -
They had over 2000 left the day before their semi final. They were priced at £30 for adults. Not from £30, just a standard price of £30. So a lot cheaper. No Portsmouth or London marathon that day either. And I bet their club didn't make it so bloody difficult to buy a ticket. We clearly have a bigger fan base, the stats over the last 60 years show that. However I'm still amazed we cant sell this amount of tickets when we can sell 30K to watch us play Stoke. Or 52K to watch us play Carlisle.

7K left. Wow! Plenty of excuses. Southampton marathon, London Marathon, high ticket price, Sunday. I know of people not going for all those reasons. But the main one is we're s***. If we were doing alright this season and hadn't played at Wembley a year ago, we'd have sold out long ago. Long gone are the days when we took over 50K there. Edit: Pic shows how much is left. That red block in the lower tier north has about 3-400 tickets left. Will look proper **** on tv. The upper tiers are also basically empty. Looks like more than 7K to me.

They seem to forget their tickets were still on general sales the day before their 2010 semi final and were £50 cheaper than ours. I actually dont think we'll sell out our allocation which seems odd considering we took 52k to Wembley a few years ago. Maybe some of our more frugal fans are saving it for the final we wont reach.

Ryan Bertrand - not fit to be captain, a disgrace
Golden Balls replied to davefoggy's topic in The Saints
Bertrand really does my head in. He's one of our best players without a doubt. But he so often isnt up for it. Played well against Chelsea but he usually turns it on against the bigger sides. Half the time he looks like he cant be arsed. Like football is too much effort for him. He was joking around with Giroud within seconds of the final whistle and then straight off down the tunnel. As usual, he's the first in the dressing room. Never looks bothered by another defeat and not bothered with showing the fans some appreciation. He's a really good player, but his attitude is the opposite of what we need from a captain. Especially in a relegation fight. Shame. -
Drums done right (like some abroad) do help the atmosphere. And lets be honest, we need the help this season. But from where I was (block 41), it sounded out of time and not very good. Didn't see them but it sounded a bit like a toy drum to be honest.

Should fans be calling supporters meetings to plan protests now?
Golden Balls replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
It's a shame it's so long until we're at home again. As it will be too late by then. The sacking has to happen now. Protest at the Wigan game. Win or lose we have to make it clear, live on BBC. It's the only time we can. Easy to buy banners online. Cant see them sacking him after getting to the semi final though. -
I dont like protests or booing during a game, especially at this point in the season when we need every single point we can get. However, not even the slightest chant or banner to get Pellegrino out after a game is strange. It's literally the only time you can actually make your voice heard to Les Reed and Kruger.
-
I woke up this morning convinced there would be a 9am announcement that he's gone. Surely nobody could go on the run he has, lose the way we do and still keep his job? But no, it didnt happen. Then I thought, maybe they need to have a board meeting, a meeting with him etc. Maybe it could be later in the day? But no, it's nearly 7pm and still nothing. What the hell does Pellegrino have on Les Reed? Somehow he is unsackable. Our worst manager in history who is leading us to certain relegation STILL hasn't been sacked. The mind boggles.
-
FA Cup actually means the world to me and I'll be going. Not sure why, it just does. If we somehow managed to fluke winning it, it will feel somewhat tainted because that absolute clown of a manager will be forever remembered as a success in our history.
-
Looking forward to Alex Crook's 'like I exclusively reported back in March...' tweet when Pellegrino gets the most obvious sacking of all time. Not that I'll see it. He blocked me for correcting him.
-
A lot of Jackett out tweets. What were they expecting this season?!
-
A 2-1 loss against 10 men means their real rivals Plymouth have somehow jumped above them in the league.
-
After a 92nd minute equaliser. Just seen the highlights on their twitter feed. The great unwashed were giving the kids dogs abuse for celebrating the winner. Classy as always.
-
Would take Theo. Wasn't it last year he was their top scorer? He's only 28, still has pace, is direct and would care imo. Sturridge, not for me. I don't like his attitude. So selfish and I think he'll feel we're well below him.
-
They're threatening to actually make the 3rd division play offs. Not quite there but looks quite likely.
-
Not sure if this has already been posted, but get ready for a lot of cringe.
-
I'm still not convinced but the last 2 games have been encouraging. I really want him to succeed. Bournemouth game will have a big say on his future and the fans opinion of him. As long as he continues to pick the right team, make the right subs and generally try to win games of football, I'm happy. Up to the Everton game that really wasn't the case.
-
Yes. He's better than what we have now and I'd like us to improve.

I came on here to check we were all voting number 6. Be sure to mention history, heritage and how unique it is.

Apparently I have to download the Carling app. No thanks.

I wish we could have played them a couple years ago. They were languishing in the 4th division whilst we were beating the best teams in the land. We'd have trashed them!
