  1. BT Sport forgot to mention the biggest club in the world with their huge game against Maidenhead. The horror! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Christ I forgot he used to play for us. On another note, I was chatting with someone from the Fratton RBL yesterday when buying a poppy. Lovely lady to be fair. But what is it with the “people went to war from this city” thing? Do they think they won the war on their own? And correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure more soldiers passed through Southampton docks than Portsmouth. Especially in the build up to the Normandy landings. Not to mention our history regarding the Spitfire. They really do believe their own hype on everything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Got mine in there towards the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Would be a very typical of that lot. In other news, a player of theirs I’ve never heard of is currently worth £40m according to the blue few. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. They can. Their world famous atmosphere can secure double promotion for them. The pure intimidation of 19k fans (that sound like 100k, remember) will shock the Earth to its very core making way for 2 promotions in 1 season. Another record to beat the scummers with. In all seriousness, there are some (not all tbf) that believe promotion this season is secured and they’ll just do what we did and get promoted again. Could happen, but they’re talking like it already has. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. For my sins, I work down that way and have quite a few friends with a fishy persuasion. They’ve been so quiet the last 5/6 years. Stopped going to Fratton. Hardly ever mentioning the football. How they fell out of love with the game. How money has ruined football. Taking up golf etc. But now, my god they won’t shut up about how they’ll take 6 points off us next season (probably right) and how they’re on their way back to the PL to take it by storm! Couldn’t make it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Don’t mind the blogging part but sorry, I don’t get the selfie video stuff. I’m not (that) old but just not for me. I understand you get your ticket paid for you, but I’m convinced you’d enjoy it more if you put your phone down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Spot on. Apart from West Ham away, even when we’ve lost we’ve put in a performance. Thinking back to the Chelsea and Arsenal defeats, we would never have put up that much fight with Pellegrino in charge. We would never have held out against Bournemouth and Swansea like that. Hughes has been a big improvement and continues to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Big derby win against their bitter rivals Plymouth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Improved a lot since Hughes arrived. It’s clear his problems are more to do with his confidence rather than his ability. Judging from a recent interview, he was really struggling mentally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. One thing I’d say is people are moaning that we didn’t get answers on ambition. Les gave a pretty clear one. To get back into Europe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Went tonight and watched it back again on YouTube. Enjoyed it to be honest. Especially the free bar. Hughes came across brilliantly. Thought Blackmore deflected away from Les and Ralph too much. Why would we care about Liverpool’s manager and questions about Everton? There was quite a bit of heckling that didn’t get picked up on YouTube. Ralph embarrassed himself with some of his responses to it. “9.2”. Jesus. Both Les and Ralph looked genuinely annoyed at times. I don’t think they expected to get a hard time which tells a story in itself. They didn’t seem willing to admit mistakes which didn’t help. I’d bet that 1 if not both of them won’t be at the next one. What is now 100% clear though... Gao will not be investing his own money to take us forward. So that’s that. 13. Must have been horrendous. Watching the news yesterday seemed to suggest that the Italian government have been pretty negligent in maintaining a lot of infrastructure. Might stop the moaning public when the council carry out works on the bridges around Southampton. Both necessary and preventative. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Exactly the reaction on twitter during the cup game. They go 1-0 up ‘get in PUP’ etc. Lose the game. ‘Didn’t want to progress in this tinpot cup’ etc. So nice of their players to keep up with the desires of the fans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I see they won AGAIN!! Judging from the reaction of their fans, they want to go up this year. Unlike last year when they definitely didn’t want to go up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Very annoying. They were nearly slipping out of the football league and we were in the top 6. Would have been a hell of a thrashing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. No longer the bestest fans in the world. No longer the bestest fans in Britain. Only the bestest fans in England now. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Here it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Aaaand normality is restored. ‘Bob Beech, former chairman of SOS Pompey said: ‘It is mean-spirited but if you sell to a billionaire this is what you get. ‘The fans voted for it so I suppose you reap what you sow. ‘ Oh and this was funny too, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. 4th division players drinking!! Golly gosh. Nobody else does that.
  21. The red panel has faded a lot. Looks like it needs replacing. That's also the bit where you can see the shadow of 'Friends Provident'
  22. I think we have to keep him. People moan about his consistency but if he was consistent, he'd have left 2-3 years ago. Replacing him for someone better would likely cost a lot more than we could sell him for with wages probably higher than his.
  23. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/16242637.amp/ It's a slow news day
  24. Just like they're obsessed with trying to get a bigger stadium than us, they also wanted to have more than out 1976 parade. Got nowhere near it of course but they say they did.
  25. I'd much rather we go back to signing the best players from the Championship than expensive foreigners with bad attitudes who "can't adjust".
