This has brought back so many memories! Love that music, didn't they also play it at The Dell? For away games I used to sit there with Ceefax on the TV and Radio Solent on the hi-fi! Then we all went up in the world when Power FM got full live commentary of the games for a few years.

Apparently it was a good turn out considering it's Remembrance Sunday. Ya know, cos Portsmouth being the only place that remembers. Apparently the atmosphere wasn't the usual intimidating cauldron due to the somber mood of Remembrance Sunday. Apparently the booing at the end was the JCLs and not true fans. Apparently they NEVER boo their own. (Except Connelly and anybody else that expects to be paid what was agreed). This is from a quick glance at twitter. They do make me giggle.

Not sure why we don't go into London. Densely populated and easy travel links. Certainly a lot easier to get/move from London than it is Cornwall. Yes they'll be more competition there but we have a very good reputation now.

We won't win the league and won't finish above Chelsea. We might finish above Liverpool. Therefore I want Chelsea to win.

That's been annoying me lately. I'm guessing the reason they say that is because they've probably done 2-3 interviews about the same subject and feel uncomfortable repeating themselves so they go with "like I said..." The overuse of "amazing" describing anything remotely positive is also annoying. Finally, I've noticed (as I'm sure everyone has) that when footballers like something, they're "buzzing". So anyway, like I said, great detail in that Connor. Amazing. Buzzing for you.

Always called underrated which obviously makes him 'rated' I think he's one of our best players. Rave about him to the bloke who sits next to me every game.

I agree with him. I was hoping we'd keep Lovren and bring someone like Toby in to partner him, with Fonte as back up. Fonte has improved year on year (maybe excluding the Championship season)

What a great time this is to be a Saints fan. Great to hear Kat say a few words. Kruger came across very well. Great speaker without any notes, just an annoying accent. Fantastic tribute overall to a great man who we owe a lot to. I'm sure (just like in every game) his name will be sung loud and proud on Saturday. Ignore any trolling/fishing on this thread.

Watched it a few times with pride. Even fires the missus to watch it and she hates football.

Would love it to happen but he'd rather play 10mins here and there for Liverpool than 10 mins here and there for us.

You haven't been to many games then. I'd say we're above average for the PL, not the best. Not the worst. We have our good days. We have our bad days. Very rarely do we get the full on pin drop atmospheres for 80-90 minutes like you often get at Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Wembley. I miss the Dell. Maybe we should make up a myth that we're the best fans in the world and say it over and over again until someone believes us.

It's the hope that kills you. As much as I keep saying "Nahh, we'll fall away" I can't help thinking "what if we don't...?" And it's that thought that will cause the pain of finishing 7th!!! We would need a hell of a lot of luck to get us to 4th in 28 games time. No injuries, JRod coming back and regaining great form, no suspensions, teams around us dropping points to Burnley. The lot. Like everyone, we have to wait to see where we after that run of tough games at Xmas/new year. If we're still top 4 after that, I might start to really believe. Which is dangerous as that's probably when it will fall apart! Don't forget we'll probably be taking the FA Cup very seriously too. Even more games.

Saw that today. I'm sure Saints fans are polite to a manager doing a great job. Can't imagine Redknapp, Lowe and Branfoot would say the same.

Really depends how we do over our tough December run. Come out of that and who knows. Do what we did last season and we'll fall away big time. I'd love to think we could sneak 4th (Chelsea, City and Arsenal above us) but I think realistically 6th would be a great achievement. Hopefully with some well overdue silverware.

Aren't you a ball of joy. Lighten up. I never put Saints (or Pompey) in any accumulator that I do. I don't want to be annoyed with Saints for letting me down or have the skates stopping me win. As far as rituals/superstition I used to have loads as a kid. Probably haven't done anything for about 5-6 years. Worked out alright so far.

Not been tested enough I think. He's had shaky moments. Spurs away mainly. To say he was at fault for Stokes first goal is stupid. What about the 3 defenders who didn't close him down? The second he came from the middle of the goal to the near post incase it got flicked towards goal, instead it was flicked to the back post and he had to make a recovery dive. I can't remember the 3-4 corners before that to form an opinion of if he should have easily claimed the ball. He's made a couple of decent point winning saves. One against West Brom and one at West Ham. Generally though he hasn't really been tested yet. Apparently he's a brilliant character in the dressing room too.

Doing very well at the moment and good for them. What a story it would be if they came up. Hope they do. Good club minus a handful of their fans.
