I initially thought it was a bit of a scam as it seemed a case of marking their own homework. But it’s all regulated. It’s a bit more complex. You can trade on players at a share price. A price is dictated by their demand. You can make dividends on players and some can give you a decent return. I’ve got a mixed portfolio of young talent that I feel will grow in value and some big hitters that are still on an upward trajectory and paying out dividends. The key is to find value I suppose. They’re on the cusp of a 2nd boom with their marketing bringing more people onto the platform. More people drives up prices. Surprised there wasn’t already a thread on this (I think). I’ve been dabbling in Football Index recently and done modestly well. Initially I thought it was a bit of a scam but having read up on it more, listened to a few podcasts and followed a few twitter accounts it’s a pretty fun way of gambling. Any players on here? Is it really bragging rights when you’ve only played each other 3 times since due to their multiple relegations? They’ve only beaten us once in 14 years. We went 24 years undefeated (1964-1988) and actually played them quite a few times. I see they now care about that football league trophy now they’re into the QF. Such a frustrating player. When he’s in the mood, he’s brilliant. Probably our best player. But that mood is once in every 8/10 games. He has a very high opinion of himself and clearly rates himself as much better than SFC. Just look at the videos he posts on social media. Clips of just himself playing. Lemina will become one of those “what if..” players. He has all the ability, just a huge lack of application. He (like many others) is only here to get a move to a bigger club. The problem he has is that he thinks he doesn’t have to try to get it. He rates himself very highly. Constantly posting video clips of himself as if he’s trying to market himself to bigger clubs. Pompey fans and Mr Disney might want to listen in. - “The Championship is unsustainable” - Wigan has among the lowest wages in the division and they had to spend £10m a year before transfers just to keep the club going in the Championship - would rather be in League 1 than the Championship. - it’s not possible to survive without huge investment. - The family are glad to get out now as they can’t meet the level of investment required.
