  2. No point playing a song over our PA system. Nobody will hear it unless they're in the toilets.
  3. Very true. But with the Northam and Itchen north either side it kind of drowns them out. Would a full lop end in the Chapel do the same? Probably. Just the organisation required is difficult.
  4. Never fear, the gas tower things will soon be demolished
  5. Hopefully getting rid of Gaston and Osvaldo might free up the wages needed for Toby.
  6. Woolston Ferry.
  7. Too much work to get people behind it. I like the idea though. That said, I like being near the away fans for a bit of banter and also it's easier to drown them out. If they're next to the family section like at so many ground the away fans find it easier to continue chanting. I think the only realistic way this would happen (and it's not that realistic yet) is to expand the stadium and stick the away fans in a upper tier like Newcastle do then have the Northam as the 'kop'
  8. Just don't snack on crap. If you feel the urge to have a chocolate bar, have a glass of water or an apple. That'll do ya.
  9. Ha I remember the days of calling them that. Oh how they'd love to be as big as Wigan now. So what are they now? The Accrington Stanley of the South?
  10. Problem with that is away coaches park in Britannia Road.
  11. But not as far along leaving the majority still home fans, rather than none like yesterday. Biggest problem seems to e the ticket office which would be sandwiched between away turnstiles outside.
  12. Decent watch although the guy presenting it is annoying. It has gained us at least one fan
  13. If we put away fans in blocks 46-4 it would give away fans roughly 5 boxes. Could always leave the back row empty too. During cup games we could just then move block 46 along to block 43/44. Still leaves the majority of the Northam for home fans and won't completely suck atmosphere out of the ground. Main infrastructure cost would be installing a separation gate in the itchen concourse and maybe linking the Northam/itchen concourses (which imo wouldn't be needed). Would still be possible to block off the Northam from away fans after the game. It's just a case of moving the blockade down the car park. If anything it's easier for away fans to get into Britannia Road from the Itchen North. To avoid the corp box problem the other option is sticking away fans in the Kingsland but not sure that's viable due to the potential problems with them leaving.
  14. I don't see the corporates an an issue. In fact they can be sold and advertised for away fans. Away fans often take a box and wind up the home fans in front. We won't lose out if away fans don't buy them as they never sell out anyway. With them being sat next to the directors. I think it's easy enough to leave a block gap. If not then just move one block round the corner. For a club that apparently wants to take advantage of every %, this has to be considered. It wouldn't cost much. Edit: just taken a look at the seating plan, they could have blocks 46-4 which would work out roughly the same. We'd then have 90% of the Northam which would produce a far better atmosphere.
  15. Clearly this was Sheff Utd away. Makes the clubs fans look like ****s. Strange thing to find funny. "They have no thoughts for the victim" - she'd never have known if you didn't plaster it all over a national newspaper. No doubt that makes these people proud of it and planning the next controversial thing to do.
  16. Ipswich fans seemed very pleased with a draw. Strange game. Second half we had complete control but hardly created anything. Feel sorry for Pelle at times who has to feed off scraps. Thought Davis was brilliant, Wanyama too. Isgrove was impressive when he came on. Tadic was poor, especially 2nd half. Slows down the play so much. JWP at RWB just didn't work. Seemed to me we couldn't fit him in the team but wanted him on the pitch for set pieces so stuck him there. Would have put Bertrand there with Targett on the left. Personally think we have the perfect players for the 352/532 system and should run with it. Makes Pelle far more effective.
  17. His late goal against Wigan was a great moment. Wigans goal a few minutes later ruined it. Therefore I'll go for his skill against Yaya Toure
  18. Why can't the away fans sit in the Itchen North and give us a full bank of vocal support. Like when we beat MK Dons in the JPT. Also away fans behind a goal could help away teams shooting that way. I've heard apparently the police won't allow it. I can't understand how it's unsafe. Anyway, home atmosphere was awful today but hardly surprising. Also definitely a lot of less regular supporters there today.
  19. If you don't get it, there's no hope for you. He's basically the definition of legend for a club like us.
  20. One of his weaknesses when he arrived was apparently his kicking. Yesterday it was faultless. And although no keeper is 100% with their kicking, he is much more consistent than anyone since Niemi
  21. Standard this season is horrific. Not just the wrong penalty decisions we're seeing every week, but the small/simple decisions too. The ones that wind me up are the fouls they give just in case it ends in a goal. They know it's not a foul but don't want to be caught out if it ends in a goal. The fear is ruling their head. And I don't care what anyone says, if you want to beat a so called big club, you have to beat the ref too. They seem so eager to give them decisions. Big and small.
  22. I'm pretty sure these are 'characters' after it became popular. That said, the reactions are similar to those on here after a loss. I pray (sorry MLG) we never have a YouTube channel like that.
  23. Hope it's true. What a player he's been. Could probably go to a bigger club but risks not playing every week. If he likes playing, he may as well stay here for a bit.
  24. He works so hard. Very strong and mobile. Probably should have scored that header. Looked like he tried to place it too much. Other hit the post and JWP should have done better with the rebound. The one off the line was unlucky. He had a split second to divert it at goal. We need another striker but Pelle is fine.
  25. They'll be a striker out there I've never heard of.
