  1. I'm not hugely proud of my surname as I wasn't close to my dad's side of the family and it's not a great sounding name either. However I wouldn't get married if the gf didn't take my name. Purely because I see it as being a family and a coming together. Plus the children having the same name as both parents. That said, her surname is brilliant and would go with my first name much better than my current surname. I just couldn't handle the shame and ridicule if I took her name.
  2. We could have sold so many more that day. Knew loads of people (part timers obviously) who couldn't get tickets. Also many older fans who don't go anymore who'd have liked to go. Great competition.
  3. Skate mate of mine pointed this out. If you filter by atmosphere they're top. I'm sure some nutjobs can bring that rating down. Takes a minute to sign up. http://www.the92.net/stats#.VRFMmdkgHCQ
  4. Would rather the media ignore us. Less pressure then.
  5. I didn't hear that from the Northam. Sometimes I look over to the Itchen and can visibly see there is chanting happening but can't hear a thing. The acoustics are all wrong. That said, atmosphere has been terrible this season. As for people leaving early. It's the same at every ground and has always been that way at SMS. Saturday seemed like slightly more than usual. I start to make my way down at stoppage time but with the queue in the aisle I still see the whole game. I do find early leavers strange. Fair enough if you have somewhere to be, but that's surely a minority. Why would you miss the end of the match just to sit in traffic or begin your walk home earlier? What's the rush? If you'd done that every game in the 2002/03 season you'd have missed about 10 goals.
  6. I'm resigned to Morgan going but he can so a lot better than Spurs. As can Toby. They're welcome to JRod if they pay £20m+. Would be utterly stupid for anyone to pay big money for him at the moment.
  7. He'd be a fool to go to Arsenal now. Edit: And judging by his twitter, he's a fool with an ego.
  8. Was my motm. Always positive and always looked like he'd make something happen. How many Chelsea players did he get booked?
  9. I will never understand why he is so scared at coming to claim a ball. He's literally perfectly built for that job. Otherwise he's top class and still young. Could easily go on another 10 years for us.
  10. Agreed. Hazard was just stronger than him and fair enough. I do get the feeling this thread will be dragged up in 2-3 years time when JWP becomes the next Lampard (Morgan V Wotton anyone?). I hope that happens. But until then I just don't get it. And did he honestly get an assist Vs Palace? I don't really think a scuffed shot straight at the keeper is an assist.

Very optimistic. I'm 90-10 that none of them will be here next season.
  12. Terrible penalty taker. I could do better.
  13. He's young so don't want to write him off but I fail to see what he adds. Even his set pieces aren't what they were. If his name was Gaston and cost £12m he would be getting dogs abuse. Being young and from the academy he gets leeway.
  14. Would love Bournemouth to come up. Despite their hatred for us I've always been fond of them and the area. Close away day. I do think they'd beat us at least once though and we'd never hear the end of it. I don't mind though.
  15. Would love us to sign him. Hasn't he rejected us before?
  16. I hate united fans. It's not an atmosphere, it's a constant boring murmuring. Palace are good as they make noise, having different chants and can managed to sing them at a good pace. Our support is terrible this season.
  17. Heard that. Started off by saying "MS has stated he wants to leave in the summer" then read out the quote which said no such thing. Although they're right, he does want to and will leave in the summer. Don't hope for a change of heart as it will just disappoint you more when he does go.
  18. Agreed that the atmosphere was good. Strange considering less fans. To me it seemed very positive. The majority of the crowd knew the players we low on confidence. Especially Pelle who got his name sung after nearly every touch, good or bad.
  19. That's not how I remember it. The real question is why the SFC player(s) agreed to give it back. Usually the ref tells the player what to do and the player agrees. I'm guessing by the out stretched arms from our players the ref insisted we concede possession. Even if the ball was in the air, why does that make it their ball? Our player kicked it towards our other player.
  20. From what I remember Forster kicked it and Mane gained possession when the ref stopped play and Mane picked the ball up. Even if that wasn't the case and it was in the air, it should still go back to Forster to retake the kick. At no point was a Palace player anywhere near it so no justification to give the ball to them. If I was MS I'd have just passed the ball to one of our players.
  21. I seem to remember Pelle counting with his hands held aloft earlier in the season which hurried the keeper along. Can't hurt if the Northam started doing it when a GK is taking the ****.
  22. What a horrendous season that was. As someone said, David Prutton is a really nice guy. Strange how different he was on the pitch. Didn't think Harry helped by dragging him away. Made it look worse.
  23. Always used to like Stoke. They pretty much had an ex-Saint starting 11 at one point
  24. Sounds promising. He's at the perfect club to develop into a full international.
