It's not surprising that he's become more ambitious after winning a major tournament and getting interest from big clubs. He's 32 and moving could mean he wins something big in his club career. Whilst I would be very upset at him leaving I feel no bad feeling towards him if he goes. The guy just wants to hit the top and it's unlikely to happen at Saints.

The 20 mins I saw we looked OK, they had a lot of men behind the ball and we tried hard to break them down. Nothing spectacular but a decent workout. Hopefully we'll put out a full strength side Saturday and we can we what we're made of for the season.

Rodriguez frustrates me with his finishing. He took his goal well but could have had a hat trick today, sometimes he just seems a little casual to me. If he just worked a little harder on his finishing he would be right up there with the top scorers in the league.

My mate at work is a Geordie and was at the game, word on the street up there is that it was indeed Jimenez who kicked off with their goalkeeping coach, but Osvaldo followed them down the tunnel and gave their bloke a slap. He told me on Monday that it was likely Osvaldo would be charged but I dismissed it as a wind up.
