    Huw Edwards

I don't comment on here much at all, but I was disgusted at SOG's post the moment I read it. Trying to score points and wind people up is one thing, but saying that Huw Edwards crimes are "Hardly the crime of the century" and "relatively trivial" is way beyond the pale. The pictures and videos he PAID FOR are utterly disgusting and the sentence he received is a complete joke. It got the media attention it deserved because Edwards was the news anchor for the countries main broadcaster, that we all pay a fee for. There's no getting out of it, it was the worst post ever on this forum by a long way.
  2. Seen them 3 times, 2000 Wembley, 2005 Rose Bowl and 2009 Millennium Stadium. All were great gigs but got covered in piss from flying plastic beer glasses at all of them. I'm 51 now and have no desire to re-live those experiences. I watched Noel and the high flying birds at Crystal Palace bowl with my son last summer and it was the best gig I've been to, a polished performance and a really good day, also no piss. My boy was at Reading last weekend and didn't enjoy watching Liam at all because of the NGHFB gig being so good. He said Liam sounded like a cat screaming into the microphone. Good luck to those that got tickets and I hope you enjoy it, I didn't bother even trying.
  3. It's usually under a minute, so that's progress
  4. I've lost my voice from singing tonight, the best ever atmosphere at St Mary's. Just incredible. I can't wait to take that to Wembley and thrash the Leeds scum.

    U18s

My son played in the Hampshire Schoolboys team with Alejandro last season, he's an absolute beast and a goal machine and a really lovely lad too. I'm not surprised one little bit that he's ripping it up at Saints. Good luck to him.
  17. For future reference we parked at the race course and it was really easy. About a 15 minute bus ride in and out and very well organised. All in all a good experience and a decent away day apart from the defensive mistakes. Saints fans were on top form today - Incredible atmosphere in the away end.
  18. Hi all, I'm driving to the game and am looking to park at one of the park and ride sites. Does anyone who's been before recommend a particular one and also the travel time from there? Cheers in advance.

  20. Stats are stats and have a place for analysis, but they do not take in to account the situation on any given game day, so therefore are a guide and nothing else. Anyone who watched Saturday's game and has played 11 a side football at any level knows that we could and should have been hammered by more than 6. We were 4-0 down after half an hour with multiple woodwork shots, the xG of 4.4 does not reflect that game in any way. I'm a bit shocked that the xG was 4.4 given the chances created by Chelsea. If McCarthy was in goal it's double figures for me as FF made some incredible saves that really did keep the score down. It baffles me that people get blinded by xG and can't or refuse to acknowledge this.
  21. Always had an affinity with Coventry, my first ever game aged 9 was Saints v Coventry in 1983. One of my friends at work is a big Coventry fan, so really looking forward to this one. I've always felt that they're very similar to us in terms of size and support.
  22. Was thinking about trying Vaganuary, don't think I'll be able to keep it up though..
  23. Small boys in the park? Jumpers for goal posts? Rush goalie, two at the back, three in the middle, four up front. One's gone home for his tea? Beans on toast?
  24. Mine has arrived in the UK, I will post pics when it gets here, hopefully in the next couple of days
