I drove to the summer Wembley game when England played and there was a tube strike. This should have provided the worst possible traffic scenario, I would think. It was very slow M25 onwards - took about 2 1/2 hours to get there from Basingstoke. After the match it was complete gridlock for an hour but then the traffic magically cleared and it was straight home. It was an evening match though. I plan to pop into Wembley Central for a bit to eat after the match as long as there is no limit on the time to leave the car park.
