  1. Co-commentator obviously not a fan of our style of play, made a couple of almost passive aggressive comments.
  2. Anyone reckon there'll be a working stream?
  3. Maybe the consistent point of Martin being shit is because he is shit.
  4. Of course he did, he's going to praise any manager that tries to copy him.
  5. Martin is showing his naivety again. Pep did him a favour by instructing his players to do the bare minimum to get through the game with champions league middle of last week and a tough EFL cup game against Tottenham again this week. He'll be over the moon that they got the three points and his players will have barely expended any energy to do so.
  6. Yeah, it becomes an option instead of being something that's unavailable to us.
  7. Now you're talking.
  8. I miss when people wanted to play FOOTBALL. Who remembers being in the park or the playground and passing it 6 yards from the keeper to the defenders? Nobody. F*cking get at each other with pace and power and entertain those paying their money.
  9. Stephens IS his plan B.
  10. If in the next Olympics you stepped up to the highest diving board and tried for Gold, that'd be pretty brave. That's essentially what Stephens is doing in trying to play premier league football.
  11. We'll either lose by more than 5 or fluke a 1-0. Either way Martin out.
  12. Tadic was consistent throughout his time for us the drop off was more about who was making the runs/finishing the chances he created.
  13. No-one is saying we revert to Wimbledon style tactics.
  14. It 100% was. He gave us the option of playing it direct into him from the CBs and his strength and first touch meant he was able to control it and lay it off. We didn't do it with every pass, that would have been ridiculous...kind of like how ridiculous it is that we always look for the short pass now.
  15. 👀 If SR wanted to show ambition...
  16. You're right, we should stick with what we know works instead of something that was disproven by the 15 minute experiment 2 years ago. Worked well for us with Pelle.
  17. 2 seasons ago. Under a different manager. With different players.
  18. ...what 😂
  19. No more buying a third division player for £10,000 and him turning out to be the glue that holds the team together.
  20. Definitely the worst. I remember seeing a Leeds player head it behind for a corner with no Saints players within 5 feet of him and he signalled for a goal kick.
  21. That atmosphere was nowhere near MK Dons in the JPT, or Pompey in the league cup, or Sheffield United under Pearson, or Coventry at home in the championship.
  22. Yeah it's difficult to gauge. The best our atmosphere has been was from 2011 to 2016, starting with Adkins era and ending part way into Puels. No coincidence our most successful period in modern history. Unfortunately everyone from my group that had a ST from years before even that, all got priced out and stopped going. I expect there are similar stories all over, groups of people slowly disappearing a few at a time to be replaced by who knows who.
  23. His interview post match where he throws one player under the bus and talks about taking responsibility while taking none himself is exactly why nobody likes him. The guy is a fucking prick. The kind of bloke that makes you and your mates get up and go somewhere else when he turns up at the pub.
  24. Martin has mentioned this season that when he joined the plan was to be in the Premier League after 5 years. I don't think they will sack him if we go down as he will still have two years to get us back up and meet the target.
  25. More atmosphere than our ground tbh.
