Having said this, I went away with Dorchester to Frome Town yesterday and watched Brett Pitman win the game for the Magpies in the last few minutes, amazing scenes with the away fans, around 250 of us went up. Been great watching honest attacking football that isn't about the money with a proper community feel to the days out.

You reckon Armstrong is happier this season playing through the middle for WBA than he was last season playing out wide for us? As Lighthouse said, now isn't the time to sell and replace - it's next summer following (hopefully) promotion when he's scored 20 to fire us up and his value is much higher. In truth the best time was last summer, we'd have probably got quite a high fee for him, but Russell was an idiot who thought he knew best and overestimated the abilities of his mates in the team.

Well it was minus Adams, KWP, Brooks, Stuart Armstrong, Fraser and Rothwell all of whom were starting regularly, so yeah the team you posted was much worse.

The play-offs was amazing but I knew what was going to happen this season so it pretty much only lasted the rest of that day, the day after I was just looking forward with trepidation. Last time properly happy, the league cup run under Puel. Being at Anfield for the Schlong goal in the semi final was one of the best moments of my life. Last time consistently happy, under Koeman. My enjoyment of the sport at the top level is so damaged now that I didn't even react when Ramsdale saved the penalty at 0-0 on Saturday, I still knew what was going to happen after.

How do people have such short memories that they ALREADY have forgotten how good our shit team looked in the Championship last season?

He's talking about this season. Martin is claiming he was still expected to win every game THIS season, which is absolutely nonsense. I actually think the club would have stood by him, as he says he thought they would, if we'd gone down but once they realised we were heading for the lowest ever points total they couldn't justify it at all. He talks such utter shit that he contradicts himself at several points in that interview. It only served to confirm everything I suspected about him - cared more about being the players mate than their manager, cared more about performance to stroke his ego than results to help the club, utterly delusional.

Hopefully villa put out the youth team to save everyone for the 2nd leg of the champions league.
