  1. It's ridiculous playing them in defense, when 1. They are midfielders and 2. They are poor in those positions (fullback).
  2. Perry and Svensson look quite decent together. For his size, Perry wins sh*t loads of headers. Also, you can't have two CBs who are aggressive - if they both lunge for a player, there's no back up. That's why Svensson and Claus were so good together - Claus could mop up afterwards.
  3. Unless of course, you're interested in what's happening. In which case you would be missing a lot.
  4. Agreed, although Agbonlahor isn't really a target man. He'd be better off playing in the Cole/Rooney role. Saying that, neither is Bent. We only really have Crouch or Heskey as target men....
  5. Harte at LB and Cork at RB would make us look a lot better.
  6. It's just a kite.
  7. Can't be any worse at defending than Surman or James was. Just hope he has pace.
  8. I would bite their hands off tbh, that's a lot of money for a goalkeeper who was in a relegation-tipped side last year. Whilst Bart has been poor of late, he's hardly been shown much faith has he? Two bad games last season behind a terrible defence and he was dropped. Even Bennett was given more of a chance.
  9. To be fair, I doubt they'd keep him if he was any worse in defence than Surman/James.
  10. Christ, very few teams in this league have more than 2 regular goalscorers, and nearly no-one in our financial situation does.
  11. Scholes is probably the best English CM and has been for at least the last 5 years. Shame Ferguson influences the international careers of so many of his players.....
  12. She needs to be shown wearing a thong IMO.
  13. Beckham would not accept the armband on a regular basis. He gave his captaincy up - WTF would be the point in doing a press conference etc about it if it wasn't a permanent decision?
  14. I'm not saying it happens very often, if at all, I was getting more at the fact that (IMO) clubs very rarely pay the wages of a player they have loaned out.
  15. No, it is my opinion. I never stated it as fact. A club either loans out a player to get them off the wage bill or give them match practice - they wouldn't say "take our player on loan and we'll pay half of his wages". The only reason they might do that is if said player was on a very high wage (£20,000 a week or more), and we wouldn't be able to afford half of that.
  16. You've got to be kidding.
  17. I'm not annoyed with the fact we sold him, i'm annoyed with the fact he jumped at the first chance - after saying he wanted to see out his contract here to learn the game. Good luck learning the game next year, you lieing pr*ck.
  18. Not a star and not highly rated, as not even Navyred has ever mentioned him.
  19. The only way we would get discounted wages on a loan is if it was written into the contract that they would be guaranteed a place in the squad of 16 when fit.
  20. And of course, Redknapp is being "proved right" as for the last few weeks he said you would struggle to do as well as last season....what a f*cking genius he is....
  21. I agree, but if Killer breaks down then Thomas and Perry is NOT adequate in this division - unless we can guarantee they both stay fit for every single game.
  22. Not entirely, but a chairman can't do everything right and still see his team get relegated.
  23. Obviously things have to get worse before they will get better, Lord Lowe knows this and so his plan is to get us relegated as soon as possible so we will progress sooner as well..... I hope to god we don't get relegated, but it will be interesting to see what Scooby would say in defence of Lowe then.
  24. You big softy, you.
  25. The point is, administration is a complete last resort. You lose everything - our stadium and our training ground, our academy, all will be sold off. St Marco, yes our assets are being sold off BUT only on the playing side. After administration we will have virtually nothing to work with.
