  1. I've often thought that, despite what the management would have you believe, many teams in this league play good football. Even the likes of Barnsley passed it around well on occasions.
  2. A youngster who will barely have watched us this season praises us, when an experienced player and pundit who also happens to be a Saints legend says we need to stop the experiment now. Who do you listen to?
  3. He's a decent player who happens to be a pr*ck, with no loyalty and no guilt about the fact he cost us promotion. Where strong characters would stick around and make up for their mistakes, he f*cked off as soon as he could.
  4. I still wonder whether Capello will ever play him again.
  5. We have also signed some good players over the years. FACT. We have also sold some injury prone rubbish over the years. FACT.
  6. I'm surprised Terry took the blame, as he did exactly the same thing in the first half and James was right on the edge of the box ready to pick it up. Carson was a full metre (at least) away from the 18 yard line when the ball came into the box.
  7. IMO it would be better having Perry or Lancashire in that sweeper role if we're going to go down that route, as Svensson is known more for his crunching tackles than his ability to calmly play the ball out of defense.
  8. Just re-watched the interview on the Give It To Ron website, and i'm choking up. If anyone hasn't watched it yet, then do so now.
  9. ------------Davis Cork Lancashire Svensson Skacel ------Schneiderlin Surman Robertson--------------BWP ------------Lallana -----------McGoldrick
  10. Downing was unbelievable, as was Carrick and Upson. Am I the only one who thinks that, apart from hitting the post, SWP only ever seemed to run into a defender?
  11. So, so true. I'm not sure whether i'm disappointed or glad I can't get my hands on these f*cking people.
  12. Bent and Richards could play up front and at RB respectively.
  13. I don't really understand how this is Saints related, other than "he played against us".
  14. Terrible decision by the ref.
  15. Harsh on Carrick IMO. I think he's a fantastic passer of the ball. Defoe is, sadly, scoring as well.
  16. If we don't appeal we are stupid. That is a decision that will easily get reversed.
  17. Would prefer BWP on left wing at the moment.
  18. I don't like her that much to be honest. Agree with Arizona, Holly Willoughby is awesome.
  19. Doesn't sound good to me unless we will be getting around 5 years service minimum from Pearce. If he f*cks off after a year then we'll have got a terrible deal.
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7729516.stm Completely agree with it to be honest, with the exception of Upson whom I would have dropped for Michael Dawson. Glad Micah Richards, Gabby Agbonlahor and Ashley Young have been picked. Also glad Bentley has been dropped as he has done f*ck all to deserve a place.
  21. Also seems very solid in his tackling. Could be an important player for us this season - i'd like to see Perry playing with him. EDIT: Yes, I do realise how dodgy that last sentence sounded. :smt069
  22. Instead of saying that, you should have politely enquired as to whether he regretted any of his decisions in hindsight. That way he would have no reason not to answer you.
  23. The team does get our full support. But when it looks like a lost cause, we might as well protest against Lowe. To be honest when that second goal went in Wolves looked like they could thrash us 8-0, so I was happy to join in with the Lowe Out chants - just as I was away to QPR. For what it's worth, I thought todays atmosphere was the best since Sheffield United last season.
  24. Nigel Pearson, no doubt. And rightly so.
  25. Thank f*ck I didn't buy it then.
