Cork's played his best at CB, why are we not playing players where they are most effective? Lancashire will come good IMO but right now Pearce is the safer bet as well. Euell and McGoldrick = worst strike pairing i've seen ever, so why have they been given another chance?

I honestly think Davis will do everything in his power to stay, including taking a wage cut. He's said to me that he wants to stay here for the rest of his career, and wouldn't risk his families happiness by moving to another club where they might be miserable.

Re-re-re-replayed last night and the bloke who scored both goals for Droylsden (they won 2-1) was supposed to be banned for one match. The FA are holding a meeting and the game will either be re-re-re-re-replayed or Chesterfield will be sent through instead

"Adam Lallana, for instance, was not really utilised until towards the end of last season, and now he is one of our best players. There are other players coming through that people have not heard much about yet and so the situation is similar" Erm, no it isn't. Nearly all of us had heard of Lallana well before he started playing last season. "I think Lloyd is doing a marvellous job on the right. I agree that he's a midfield player, but when we have Morgan Schneiderlin, Andrew Surman, Lallana, Gillett, Cork who can all play there then it's difficult to put them all on the pitch." This doesn't answer the question - why was he given a chance at RB and Jamie Hatch (who is a natural in that position) simply forgotten? Apart from that, I agree with pretty much everything else they said. EDIT: Also noticed that when asked about the forwards out on loan, Stern John is not mentioned.

The Winter Solstice aka The Shortest Day

Right now i'd be more than happy with £30k a year. -
Great, so we loan him out, he does sh*t in League One, and then even less people want to take him on. :smt012

Another bizarre transfer to go along with Forecast, Smith and Pekhart.

OS, for alpine, happy Christmas, JP being more positive/Surman on pressure

Wotte is an idiot. Surman is not thinking more about those things because he is older, he is thinking about them because he's in the first team (which in fact is exactly what Surman says). Spin spin spin from everyone. -
It may not have been him at the time, as it was said nearly 3 years ago.

RE the Dempsey-Ronaldo comparison, I too cannot find a link but I distinctly remember seeing an interview with New Englands manager where he said that Dempsey was the American Ronaldo. Of this i'm 1000% certain.

Still there, but because it's been edited it is under a different link.

Fantastic news. So happy for her and the family.

There is a link in the article to the actual details of the meeting, isn't there?

Survived merely because it had such a wide range of luxury items. When people are getting a bit tighter with money, they spend less on luxury items, and that which they do spend usually goes to a specialist shop where you are more likely to get it cheaper (e.g getting a TV from Currys instead).

Awesome Shalrie Joseph? Never heard of him. Also, we have no idea whether any of them are good enough for the English leagues as you have about an extra 30 seconds on the ball in the MLS. In the Championship especially where the favourite tactic is to close down fast and tackle hard, i'd imagine any American footballers coming here would take far too long to adapt. And most of them have been sh*t anyway. McBride was the best so far, Bocanegra was average, Johnson who was supposed to be "the best American striker ever" has done f*ck all even for Cardiff, and Adu has disappeared off the face of the earth. Dempsey was also hailed as "the American Ronaldo" by his former manager - LOL. I'd suggest that when it comes to rating these players, it is the Americans who are being typically smug - blaize - and superior, not us.

The atmosphere seems a lot better as well.

I think the bloke from Feyenoord was going to be the manager last time around, with Wotte in the same role he has now.

Baird played! I didn't know that.

w00t for us mugs. We must be inbred or something, is the only reason for us being so stupid.
-
They can, but they won't.

Harsh on Surman IMO, there have been plenty of times this season when he was fought and tussled his way past defenders - proving he is not lightweight.
-
Not forgetting to activate the robot hidden on the opposite side of the market from the entrance - he's usually good for a couple of enemy kills.

Euell was ridiculously bad, clearly not motivated (neither was Skacel) and he did nothing to justify his selection.
