I didn't know we had a YouTube channel but then again I do live in a mill and drink scrumpy

First home game of the season for me. Looking forward to it. Vardy being suspended is a big relief. Need to get an early goal and push on from there. It will be key for Ings to out-muscle Maguire on occasions - not an easy task. Agree with others - it's time for our creative players to show what they can do. Get Lemina to run a few games like he showed in glimpses last year.

Glad Sparky and his support team has been sorted. Now on to transfers....
-
This has 1-1 written all over it. Defoe will score for Bournemouth

A really good article. Not sure Hughes will stick around if we get relegated. He will take some time out and wait for Cardiff to come calling (after Warnock makes another cr@p start in the PL) in November. I just wish for more exciting time at St Mary's. Last time out against Chelsea was great for 70 mins!

Surely with Man Utd awaiting the winners a repeat of 1976 is on the cards as by the time we lift the cup in May we will be confirmed as a 2nd tier club again. Looking forward to my day out at Wembley. For various reasons the last time I saw Saints at Wembley was the 1992 Zenith System Data Cup Final. Time to march on to glory....

Leicester 3 Saints 0. Get your bets on now. Vardy hat-trick in the first half.
-
We are going to finish bottom of the league. Can't see us getting to 30 points. The way results have been going (WBA winning at Man Utd) I fully expect Stoke to win away at West Ham tomorrow.

2 things that together will usually get you relegated

I'll name that tune in one! One thing that will get you relegated....getting fewer points than 17 other teams in the PL -
Need to beat Chelsea twice within a week. I'm glad the league game is first - get 3 points there and I'll be happy with a day out at Wembley regardless of the score

Safe travels Saints fans. Reading half marathon cancelled so my services no longer required as bag carrier to the missus. About 4 inches of snow here in Berkshire.

Hughes 2/5 ON with Skybet. He'll be appointed tomorrow. I'm all for it - he'll put a rocket up the under performing misfits.

FA Cup Qtr Final Saints v Wigan or Man City AWAy
Windy Miller replied to John Boy Saint's topic in The Saints
Wigan's luck has all been used up. Saints will win 2-0 and we are then Wembley bound. I think Leicester will beat Chelsea and we will draw them in the semis. The beauty of the cup:) -
My logic goes like this. Win away at Palace, lose at home to Palace. Lose at home to Burnley must mean we will win away...(ever the optimist!!!)

Bottom 3 of West Brom, Huddersfield and Stoke could be bottom 3 come the end of the season. The negative goal difference for Huddersfield and Stoke is so bad it's like having another point on them.
-
The worst thing about last night's performance is we didn't look like winning. I got 14/1 relegation odds on Betfair after the Burnley debacle. Only stuck £5 on but Betfair now have cash out of £11.90. I'm going to hang on for me £75 payout in May.

You can see Ulloa coming off the subs bench and making it 1-1.

Biggest game of the season. Nothing less than 3 points will do. Heaven help us if we lose as the transfer window will have shut and getting rid of MP will be like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic

Does a new manager improve the teams chances of survival?
Windy Miller replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
Yes. As things stand the bottom 3 will be Saints, Brighton and Huddersfield at end of season. One common factor will be they kept faith with their managers. -
Also we will be in bottom 3 when the game kicks off as Stoke will beat Huddersfield tomorrow - so question is will this finally give our team the wake up call. We always came good in mid 90's with Le Tissier around to inspire some late season heroics. Nowadays who can fulfill that role?
-
Bookies don't give us any chance. Spurs are at a really short price to win. My £5 bet for Spurs to win will only get me £8.30.
-
I got 15/1 back in late Nov. MP has to go otherwise my bet will come in!!!

Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk
Windy Miller replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Thank god it's been done early in the transfer window. Now will the board spend the money wisely???? -
It's been confirmed on SSN. Now let's see what happens. Can he win over the players in the first instance - they all liked Shakespeare.

Brisbane Saints
Windy Miller replied to Kingsbridge Saint's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I've got Bridge to Brisbane at 6am tomorrow. I think the 10km will put paid to still being awake 19 hours later. When's the first 12.45pm Sat game (ie: 9.45pm in the pub) which would be perfect.
