Never understood why posters on here turn on their own fans in the way we do..... May be it happens on other forums. I don't know Tom28 from Adam, but he called the VVD training before any press or certainly anyone on here did..... Now that was a lucky guess according to some posters. Take a look back through his posting history. He has broken cover in terms of being ITK fairly recently, but gave lots of snippets as suggestions or questions (That turned out to be right) going back to 2014 ( Couldn't be arsed to go check any further) and a telling post on page 7 of his forum posts..... will let you lot work it out. He quite clearly is closer than any of us- Doesn't mean he will always be right and is almost certainly third / fourth hand info.... Exactly the same as Monk and Guan. I doubt it would be rocket science to work out who he is (Again can't be arsed) but my guess is he works at Staplewood in some capacity. Keep posting Tom28 - You provide much more insight than the rest of us.

You would think right? But also what's best for the agent - which club would he (The agent) personally benefit the most from - Who is going to pay the agent the most.

Ralph almost certainly, but would expect Les to stay. It would be very unusual not to put your own people in from a business perspective, but Les remains the knowledge on the footballing side of things. For all the stick he takes, I doubt there are many DOF CV's that could come close to what he has achieved in the last 7 years.

I'm with this man

This is Saints related.... Sort of... When Le Tiss started against Italy in a world cup qualifier and got taken off on about 65 mins (Will wait to be corrected) and the commentators were slating him and the next days newspapers ripped him to shreds, I was left scratching my head. For me, he in that game, was the only one that was likely to score for England and was one of the only players who was genuinely up for it and thought he had a half decent game. Given the landslide condemnation of his performance, I had to concede that I probably didn't know my football as well as I thought and that rose tinted glasses were in play. Two days later Hoddle came out and said he watched the game back several times and he should never have taken him off. A glimmer of hope...... may be I wasn't quite as stupid as I first thought. Today I watched on some sort of Sky sports channel in Spain with who I thought was Alvin Martin as co commentator?? (will wait to be corrected) blame the first goal on Forster. Now, I am no goal keeping guru, but when he said it I thought WTF and assumed he had made a mistake. They then did the slowmo and replay and he said the same again. A little worse for drink I have watched it six or seven times and can't work out why in hell that is Forsters fault. He was adamant it was..... as are many posters on here (Matchday thread) and without looking to defend Forster, what am I missing? Push it out a bit further - possibly, but to put it down as a goal keeping mistake seems ridiculous to me, but then maybe I don't know my football as well as I thought.

Whilst Katarina still owns 20%, she is now a minority shareholder and I would imagine the fee for the other 20% has already been agreed and probably subject to certain conditions regarding promised investment etc. Regardless the Liebherr family no longer own Southampton Football Club. We had them for 8 years and 1 week............... And what a bloody brilliant 8 years that has been. I am not sure we could have asked for anymore. The investment, the promotions, the year on year successes, European football, Cup finals and our highest ever Premier league finish. As a lifelong Saints fan, it's a MASSIVE thank you to both Marcus and Katharina, who have a place in Southampton history forever.

I think FFP stopped this year
-
WTF? Why would we sack a £75 million asset that would give him exactly what he wants and the choice of clubs he could sign for and pocket a massive signing on fee. I hope you have been drinking, because that is plain stupid.
-
# I would guess it has something to do with this.... Furthermore sources close to the deal have suggested that a fee of around £45million, to be paid up front with no add-ons, was verbally agreed between the two clubs before an attempt has been made by Everton to renegotiate the terms

Read his twitter account .....he's just a gloried fan. And if you believe they had permission.................... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/07/liverpool-end-virgil-van-dijk-interest-andapologise-southampton/ "Liverpool Football Club would like to put on record our regret over recent media speculation regarding Southampton Football Club and player transfers between the two clubs. "We apologise to the owner, board of directors and fans of Southampton for any misunderstanding regarding Virgil van Dijk. "We respect Southampton's position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player."
-
No worries

That's very different from what you said "Nail on the head" too............... Perhaps we were prepared to sell and even permitted to VVD to meet LFC's representatives (as well those from other clubs) but didn't like the subsequent way they tried to corner or strong arm us by leaking things, including VVD's determination to join them to the press
-
Nail on the head my arse. There is not a chance in hell that Liverpool would have issued THAT apology if we had given them permission. That was the most humbling arse licking, worried apology you will find in English football.

Was he the manager for the Bournemouth penalty given to us outside the area
-
Feels like we are in safe hands
-
Saint Albert, without being rude - The term " A person / source close to the player" means they are making it up and can't name the source or person close to the player, because they don't exist.
-
Quite....... and NC was in charge when we sold the Ox.

It's an interesting point. Lets say Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal, were interested why would they make a move now? With the situation festering and Liverpool unable to make a FORMAL move, if I was working for any of those clubs, I would sit back and let it carry on. Vvd's behavior is close to making his position untenable and a 45 / 50 million bid in the last week of the window, could well force our hand to remove a disruptive player who doesn't want to be here. Ultimately we hold the key ace, but Vvd's actions are driving his value down and that directly impacts the club.

Hans Segar the Wimbledon goalkeeper had been in the press that week saying Le Tissier wasn't good enough for England. The goal was about making him look stupid. Mission accomplished,

Yes it is Macquarie Bank, but is everything to do with KL - It is secured against her personal estate.

Too stupid. Thick beyond repair.
