  1. Seriously????????????? He made two mistakes all season. The closest comparison you can make based on last season is Kompany. The best centre half I have seen for years in a Saints shirt.
  2. :scared::scared: Don't give up your day job
  3. Yep we should have done a Norwich and done our business early ..................oh whoops
  4. Apologies - I actually thought that tweet from the other thread was real Yes - I know that makes me stupid
  5. I suggest you read the official SFC tweet
  6. I suspect that we will go on to lose Morgan and Lovren which will see five of our top players and starting 11 gone. We are emotionally attached and react with anger, frustration and disappointment. But for Koeman the whole project must be very compelling. He gets the chance to build his own team and bring in players that he believes fit with his style, standards and philosophy - With a budget that will allow him flex some real muscle. He will have known what he was walking into and I suspect the opportunity to manage in the Premier league, with HIS team from the start, was a huge carrot that very few managers ever the chance to do. Exciting times.
  7. Agree with this - There appears to have been a lot of contact before the window
  8. Hang on a minute - You started by stating as fact that Markus dream & project was CL football and even put it in bold. Which simply isn't the case. Now you've changed to it wasn't outside his dream - Whatever that means. He also said you don't progress by selling off your best players..... Then went and sold Chamberlain. So I'll stick with my first conclusion - Horsesh!te
  9. Absolute horesh!te Markus remit to cortese was to build a mid table Premier league club. That is a direct quote from Cortese - Go and find the interview online.

  11. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11315980.Lovren_to_force_exit_from_Saints_with_pre_season_no_show/?ref=twt Looks like the strike threat could be true
  12. I think you are right..... The "coming soon" and then no further responses to when will it be, suggests it could get ugly...... there again it could be good news, my guesses would be; 1) It's a threat to the club...I'll go online and tell the fans how the club have broken all their promises and cause a Sh!t storm. 2) The club have made it clear he wont get his move this summer and he has finally accepted this and comes on to tell us everything we've read is bolliacks and he cant wait for new season. 3) Simply use it as a way of explaining why he wants away, how much he has enjoyed his time here etc.......Which would make it almost impossible to bring him back into the fold.
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27735131 Don't be stupid Hatch - Why on earth would you sign for Real Madrid when you could sign for the blue few. I did wonder at the time, how much that the "Incentives" for him to sign would have cost them, but then I remembered they have pots of cash + parachute payments + Tesco's + penalty spot sales.
  14. I think the poll results (Just under 90%) give you a good sense of how real life Saints fans feel. You just don't like it because you know his Dad. Boo hoo. Lallana has let us down and deserves the incoming.
  15. manc mate reckons we are in for Valencia
  16. Correct. In today's market J Rod is 15 million +. They wouldn't get insurance on him and you simply don't take a 15 million pound punt. He will need a season of proving himself once he has recovered before clubs start throwing that sort of money around.
  17. But you me and every other poster would do the same
  18. It will be fine - Maybe not future proof, but my prediction is player for player we will be stronger on day 1 of the new season, than we were on the last day of the previous season. Koeman is a massive signing, he isn't here to throw his career down the drain. The volume of players leaving will of course mean that a bedding in period will be required, but that's football. Cortese had a 100% record of selling wanted players, to the top premiership clubs, nothing would be different under his command. In fact I salute whoever is doing the negotiating we have ******* raped them
  19. Lungs you are a top lad....stop digging
  20. I'm with waggy
  21. That's just rubbish Frank and very naïve. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that part of his initial contract allowed to leave when he wanted against an agreed criteria. The footballing world was gushing about him before he signed 18 and could have walked into a massive contract at Chelsea with a huge signing on fee........ May be out of all of this, it is Luke that has looked after Saints!! Anyway if the money is spent well, we can be stronger. Whether we like it or not, there is a pecking order in football. Even before the biting incident, if Barca wanted Suarez they would have got him. Utd wanted Shaw... They got him
  22. How long ago was it that Shaw accidently tweeted the United media office
  23. I'm not sure it is much more than the fact we actually give our lads some game time. That might be a bit simplistic and we obviously do, do a lot of things very well, but very few clubs actually push the young ones in like we do. Think of it like this; Marcus bought the club for 13 million quid, Our biggest asset (Or certainly one of them Drew Surman) had just been sold.18 months later we sold Chamberlain for 15 million quid - He wasn't even on the radar when Marcus bought the Club and was sold for he than he paid for everything. Luke Shaw is another good example. We went toe to toe with Utd for Buttner - We lost. Shaw started out of necessity - Had Buttner signed for us, we might not even know who Shaw is, even now. It doesn't always work - I've yet to see anything in Sam Gallagher that suggests he will cut it, but regardless - He has been given his chance.....as have many others. It's all good.
