Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez
Gemmel replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
If I write it on Saints web it will become true -
Can I buy your house for 50k

Full of s h I t e. The only reason you have such an old log is because you needed a fall net back in the day. People buying 100 million + Football clubs don't post on forums Friends of people buying football clubs don't post on forums. People in the know about people buying football clubs, don't post on forums ( If they are serious buyers) And then the use of smiley faces....brings us full circle to some of the names mentioned on this thread. Hope your IP address has changed.

Couldn't agree more. For all the cyber warriors moaning, there is not one..... not one single one of us that wouldn't leave their job for 3 , 4 or 5 times the money. Thing could have been handled better (IMO)but we are where we are and now we have to move forwards.

They just cant help themselves....... Could be interesting...... Lowe and Morgan's agent are good friends.

French jornalist Romain Molina says Liebherr wants to sell

Your post displays your intelligence -
Not so much now - I think Ralph's unequivocal assurances and statement have wrestled back some power. If Morgan goes now, then Ralph would have to walk. In many ways if he did tell the press ahead of Morgan, then it was brilliant brinkmanship. He simply walks into the meeting and tells Morgan that no deal could possibly be done now. As already mentioned Morgan probably earnt a move ahead of all the others and his meeting today probably cost him in excess of 2 million quid. But Ralphs job is to look after the Club - Not to make Morgan happy.

LOL you just make stuff up as "fact" and then convince yourself it's true. Your latest one goes from roos barkley turns down man city to sign a new contract at everton To they hardly set out their stall that they are open for business, have they

No bid from Man City might have helped

Wrong Morgan was at the stadium today

Of course we wont be selling Jay Rod - Clubs don't buy players with ACL injuries. ;) There is a lot of noise in the press of which 99% is ********. The only way to buy J Rod (Spurs or an another) would be at a knock down price (super knock down) and take a gamble...... so Spurs certainly weren't going to pay a premium on him that we have achieved with other player sales and part of the criteria that we seemed to have demanded.

Two question that those crucifying the board need to answer
Gemmel replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
I think you also have to factor in what is being bought - Young English talent. A rare commodity that comes at a premium. The other players Lovern, & Morgan are simply quality players that could both play for any team in Europe (IMO) -

He did a great job in many aspects and left this club two leagues higher and in much better shape than when he came in. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude. However, he had a 100% selling record, when a top four club came knocking. It simply shows that there is nothing a club like us can do when the big four want one of our players Chambers apart, we would be in the same situation with or without him.

Well there you go.....apologies all round to those that took exception. I still can't work it out, but then with what's happening at the moment, I guess it I shouldn't try and make any sense out of anything. Wouldn't it be a miracle if it turned out not to be as bad as first thought............

Thread: The "What striker should be get in after/if Osvaldo has left in the summer" thread by Viking Saint Replies87 Views5,034 Friend of mine is on the board at... Friend of mine is on the board at Burnley...they're pretty much expecting Ings to be gone this summer whether they go up or not That's two Premiership Chairmen and a Championship Director you know....... your very well placed. But of course you never mentioned Burnley...........
-
So your brothers mate knows Levy, you know another Premiership chairman and you also know a Director on the Burnley board......that's all from five posts. Do you know Monk or Guan?

I agree with the sentiment, but regardless of whether they cash in or not, The Liebherr's investment has shown an incredible return. I may be completely wrong on this, but when you sell a club it is effectively the golden share that you buy. So regardless of what players you do or don't sell the value doesn't actually change that much. Now of course in this instance it's a bit different given the volume of players that have left, but I think it is a fairly safe argument that the clubs value hasn't decreased more than the outgoing players transfer fees.
