  1. ******* hell jonny get with the times. Most airlines have onboard internet....bloody expensive mind, oh and theres mobile internet ....you probably live in Bournemouth
  2. What about this; The stay away fans (based on Lowe) nominate a single game that they will attend. (it would need some co-ordination) If the the attendance is up by 3000 at £24 a ticket a program and a beer thats £100k. If the fans show the club that is what they are missing out on week in week out. He would be gone the next day.
  3. THE short trip to Southampton's training ground became a tortuous journey that threatened to send Harry Redknapp spiralling over the edge. Every day Redknapp considered turning back, returning to his Dorset home and tendering his resignation to the club he knew he should never have joined. Last night Redknapp opened his heart about the remarkable chain of events that looks certain to end with him returning to Portsmouth in the next few days. Redknapp laid bare his emotions and talked openly to Sunday Mirror about taking the decision to quit Southampton on Friday night and pave the way for a return to the club he walked out on just over a year ago. Redknapp said: "The last year has been the worst of my life and that is no exaggeration,. "I don't know what possessed me to leave Portsmouth in the first place. I'm an emotional man at the best of times - just ask my wife Sandra. "But I made a monumental mistake walking out of Fratton Park and a day hasn't passed since I left the ground for the last time that I didn't regret my decision. "The truth is I did have my rows with chairman Milan Mandaric but they were petty and the vast majority were my fault. "I think people made far too much of it because 99 per cent of the time we had a fantastic relationship. "I know some of the Pompey fans are extremely angry about my possible return and I can understand that but this is not about money, it's about being happy and the day I left Fratton Park I left my heart at the club and want to come back and reclaim it. "I have no grudge with Southampton because their supporters were fantastic with me. The only reason I remained at the club following relegation was I felt I owed it to the fans to get them back up but I would be a liar if I said my heart was in the job. "I'm not denying that I said to the Pompey supporters that I wouldn't go up the road but things just spiralled out of control. "I reacted to an article Milan had done and lost control. I knew the moment I was unveiled at the press conference at St Mary's that I had made the biggest mistake in my career. A day hasn't passed when I didn't want to turn my car around, go home and quit. I haven't slept well for a year and I've been murder to live with. "Events this season have simply increased my desire to get away and once Portsmouth asked permission to speak to me this week I knew I had to go back. "People can call me crazy, say what they like but my time at Pompey was the happiest of my career and I cannot see the point in remaining in football if you're not happy. "To be honest this season has been nothing short of a joke. It's been a media circus and I knew, if I was honest to myself, that I wasn't part of the long-term plans here. "Appointments have been made that have bemused me and I have had to work with all this crap going on about disintegrating relationship between me and Clive Woodward. "As a bloke I got on with him but I have to say the decision to bring him in was bizarre. As was the coach that came with him and recently quit. "The relationship between me and Clive was never going to work because there were too many people undermining the structure Rupert Lowe wanted at the club." Redknapp admits that he now finds himself in complete limbo and has urged Saints chairman Lowe to resolve his situation and allow him to return to his spiritual home at Portsmouth. He said:"I would hope Rupert would see sense and allow me to return. I've made it clear I want to go back but until the two clubs reach an agreement over compensation I'm in limbo. "I was honest enough with Rupert and said once the Portsmouth thing became public I was in an untenable situation at Southampton. "My son Jamie told me to get out of Southampton months ago, he knew it was tearing me apart. As I said the situation in recent months had become intolerable, let alone the fact I never really wanted to be at the club." "I have no intention of signing a long-term deal at Pompey. If and when I can get round a table with Milan I will make it clear that I will work without a contract for the rest of the season. "If I can keep them up then we can discuss any future arrangements. But I want everyone to know that my intentions are sincere and honourable and hopefully people will respect that."
  4.
  5. stanley - the debt wont disapear by going into admin
  6. Gemmel

    Saints price.

Around about 30 million, with continued outgoings higher than incomings, so it would go up on a weekly basis
  7. There is no gurantee that administration would mean the end of lowe or wilde and i just cant see anyone coming in to by us. Even if they did for minimal money they would still have the stadium debt (Over 20 million) to manage. It is really not the answer.
  8. How would we start a fresh on a level playing field? The largest part of our debt is the stadium. To carry on playing at St Mary's we still need to servce that debt. Administration won't make it disapear.
  9. Beware of the legal beagles. Don't be surprised to see the comments retracted. If a financial agreement was arranged as part of the settlement for Smith, then lowe will enforce it.
  10. I think ponty realised, it wasn't the most sensible post, hence his second one directly after the first. I am not sure it really matters, what side of the fence you sit regarding lowe, but allegations have been made (On a subject that has been debated for years) and surely even those that support him, would want to know the truth.
  11. Assuming the orginal post is accurate, then Lowe needs to respond. Given the amount of managers that he went through and the costs asociated with paying them off....(Money that directly affected the first team), bar the odd snippet, this is the first (To my knowledge) piece of evidence that backs up what has long been suggested and will add to the unrest amoungst fans. I would be interested to know the "Trust's" view on this.
  12. I think that deserves a thread of its own.
  13. I still can't see lowe doing this, I think he would rather take his chances in administration, although i completely agree with the sentiment. May be a nice starting place would be Mr Askam. He sells his shares and gives the monsy raised back to the club.
  14. 11.00 am > The 11th hour of the 11th month
  15. What wins football matches? What cant we do ? What is our goal difference?
  16. Our formation may of ended up 4 3 3 last week, but we have and continue to start with one up front until we are chasing the game and that's the irony for me, when the chips are down we resort to the system we should be employing from the start.
  17. Did you forget to go on the seminar that talked about the licensing agreement and what the home office approved them for ?
  18. Actually i do like the guy in the way he comes across, although if you could show me a post where im happy with the direction we are going..... i'd be very interested. I'm certainly not happy with the formation and whilst the idea of changing managers again just leaves me numb - as it did when we got rid of Pearson, that doesnt mean he is not above criticism, on one of the most fundemental flaws in this whole set up. May be you have confused me with someone else.
  19. 4 - 4 - 2 Crazy i know, but it might just work
  20. There are laws preventing companies dumping assets and then going into administration. Bascially you can't do it.
  21. Exactly - like the start of the season earlier I like Jan, i do question his tactics, but for i just cant see why he sticks with this formation, when it quite cleary doesnt work. The funny thing is when we are chasing the game (90% of the time) with 15 minutes left, the first thing he does is go 4 4 2
  22. Are you raving mad? One of the most clueless posts i have ever seen. We will not sell him because he cant shoot, we will sell him because he is one of the few remaining assets we have that will generate cash - probably 750k to a million. Which will be massively below what he is worth. He is as an exciting prospoect as Le Tissier was, whether he reaches that potential remains to be seen. Your post suggests you have absolutely no idea of the real state of the affairs at the club. Lallana will go Surman will go and we will try and get rid of; Ewell Skatchel Rasiak John etc
  23. I seem to remember that at the time, the finance was all in place spread across a number of German banks and then at the last minute it was switched to Norwich Union, although it was always phrased as an "unnamed" financial institution and have never been sure why they wouldnt say who it was. i assumed it was Friends Provident, given the sponsorship etc.
  24. Did this girl that sent you the text ever had a python, that starved itself for two weeks?
