6 Million Market Cap 28 Million debt (Including stadium) 7 Million (????) Assets Throw all that together and what do you think someone would have to pay? Assuming that any new buyer convinced Aviva that they would or could make the payments on the stadium, there's no reason why Aviva wouldn't roll the current deal onto any new owners. Barclays would settle for what out of their 8 million owed? 4, 5 ,6 million??? Other creditors would get the same rate in the pound as Barclays get and unless the offer is covers all of those and more, i don't think the shareholders get anything (Could well be wrong and happy to be corrected) But unless there are mutiple buyers we are unlikely to get into a bidding war, so although the above is horribley simplified, what would be a realistic price the club could be bought from the Administrators

I could be wrong but i think the land was given or sold to us for a very minimal fee, by one Richard Chorleys Uncle (Or other relative)

Hi Weston. In my personal opinion we are already relegated and whilst that's very defeatist, I just can't see anything that suggests we will turn the corner. Infact even changing Jan and the kids would probably be too late even now. What i can't work out it wat that means for us administration wise, as i just can't see it is in either Barclays or Avivas best interests, to put us into administration. Are there other major creditors we should be aware of?

I think it was the SLH board or one of them doing the duping
-
If i have just heard Sky sports correctly, Spurs included a fixed sell on clause for Defoe, and have bought him for 15 million...... 4 million of which goes back to Spurs as they sold him, so 11 million, which is what they paid for him...i think

I’m no expert so this is mostly guess work, but if we are working within the confines of our agreed debt reduction, I’d say not a lot. The same if you or I racked up a big overdraft met with the bank manager and agreed to pay so much off each month. If you stuck to it, he wouldn’t care if you spent the rest of your wages on drugs and strippers. If SLH isn’t keeping to the recently agreed reduction than I guess they can have a lot more say. They will be aware of the cash value players, the dwindling support, the AGM and the likelihood of further reduced revenues next season and even Crouch’s offer to inject some cash. If it comes to the crunch to keep Barclays sweet, they will or could dictate player sales. However, the more I think about it, the more I can’t see either Barclays or Aviva putting us into administration and unless we have any other major creditors or we owe the tax man a chunk of change, then I don’t think it will happen, at least not in the short term. We owe Barclays 6 to 8 million. If they put us in administration and a buyer was found, they would get what, 10p 20p 30p in the pound? If they put us into administration and there was no buyer, they could get nothing. The same for Aviva, if say our repayments were 1.5 million a year, but we could currently only pay 750k, if they put us into administration they are gambling 23 million. 10p 20p or 30p in the pound represents massive losses, much more than sticking with us and taking half payments. I don’t know what the site would be worth to them for redevelopment, but now is hardly the time. The third option would be for them to sell the ground to someone to lease back to us or even they lease it to us themselves, but for an outside buyer 23million to acquire it and we would still only have the same pot to pay from as before (The fictional 750K) there is nobody or company that would take that risk or return, it just wouldn’t make sense. That’s all probably hugely over simplified and I could well be missing something, but I can’t see in the short term why it would be in the money men’s best interests to put us into admin, even if they weren’t getting as much as they should be here and now.

www.namg.eu.com This one always made me laugh. Under news there wasn't anything after the football club for sometime, but see they have added a few. It's when you ring up and get put through, you can get transfered to the answer phone of the web company . Actually dont get me started on this again, but would love to know who was behind it and why
-
I was thinking exactly the same last night. We have been sussed out basically and can't seem to mix it up or change the game plan.
-
If he is, it's only because he left his gloves there yesterday. Doea anybody really think, that if we were seriously looking at other managers, with the incumbant still in place, that the meetings would be held at SMS
-
Is it me or are we starting to see a steady stream of coverage, highlighting our plight with references to lowe being responsible? Almost as if someone was orchastrating it. Much like Lowe did before, just the other way round. I'm sure rupes will contact his mates and have a page on how great he is fairly shortly.

Having watched the game on Setanta, where they replayed it a million times, i can assure anybody it was a straight red. There is no ambiguity, no grey areas, no room for interpretation of the rules etc etc...... It was a red card offence. This doesn't however mean riley isn't a ***t

Whilst i agree with the sentiment, do you not think that Ollie didn't get slated at half time by his manager for giving O Shea a free header.... If he didn't, he bloody well should have done and by default that surely means the fans are entitled to view their opinions. Age, expereince or ability is irrelevent if we can't get these simple things right. If you were playing in Tyro, you could expect to get slated for that sort of mistake. It's sloppy - nothing else. And also, it doesn't always have a negative effect. I watched in disbelief Mcgoldricks performance against Forest, he had his hands on his hips within ten minutes of the start and also when the ball was in the air from a corner. The crowed turned on him and jeered his substitution. I said at the time, it wouldn't do him any harm and although i didnt see the game i understand he was excellent in his next performance.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
Gemmel replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Most companies have some sort of succession planning, that recognises potential "C" talent within the organisation and keeps tabs on external people who have been identified as having the appropriate skill set, experience etc. I some how doubt lowe has this in place, othan than lowe jnr. -
To be honest mate, i'd rather they told us straight. Most fans understand the financial restrictions we are under and if we can't afford to play him, so be it. But the constant biullsti and spin, insults my (limited) intelligence and keeps me from watching the club i love.
-
I agree.......so why the bullsiht This club is nothing more than a ****ing contest. Lowe thinks you are that stupid you will believe whatever your'e told. This isnt a lowe out thread, but just a reminder of what he did before and how gullible he thinks every football fan is. Complete contempt for his customers
-
If UEFA and the rest of the world are still on holiday, then i would expect the Saints contact to know that. We are dealing with one of our prized assets here, whos wages play a big part in whether we do or dont go into administration. Please dont tell me that nobody bothered to check.
-
TDD i dont always agree with your opinion, but quite like your posts. If what you have is written is true, then i would expect the Saints contact to be sacked tomorrow. This is one of our most expensive assets. Knowing that his loan came to an end in December and the fragile state of or cub, anybody that hasn't got this sorted by early December, should be sacked. There is no excuses. And given that international clearance is a 30 sec fax, i would much rather the club front it up and explain we cant afford to play him. They think we are retards.
-
This has been mentioned on other threads, but more a general post as to how the club treat its fans. Tonight we learnt that Saga didn't get international clearance in time to play on Sunday. So for my money that is either incredible in competancy from the board or pure bull****. It might well be he is on a game bonus that we cant afford - so tell us, but no, it just gets wrapped it spin and ******** as per usual. In his resignation year lowe went to great lengths to assure us that Graham had complete editorial control of the OS. Less than 3 hours after he resigned, Hiley put the record straight and confirmed lowe was bull****ting out of his arse. Lowe really thinks we are that stupid..........we are football fans so we must be. Saga is now on our wage bill, and will not be playing, but will still be paid. If the genuine reason is that international clearance wasnt gained in time, then those that didnt make that happen should be sacked. Think back to when Gordan Brown assured us all the reason he wasn't calling an election (After breifing the entire press) had nothing to do with the Conservative surge in the polls . It's insulting that they think we will fall for their bull****. I love this club, just don't understand why those in charge, want to constantly lie and bull**** to the very people it serves.

What's the real reason Why J.Cork didn't resign On Loan
Gemmel replied to Smalls's topic in The Saints
Read Keegans Lawrie often likes to tell the story of how he locked Keegan in -
Buctootim, seems to know his stuff with share info, but my undertstanding is they dont have to give notice, unless they are exercising options. I'm not sure where you get the 5million figure from? But i would be interested to know just how mnay shares we are talking. I know that we consistently (As a club) bought are own shares, so it might be a fairly significant chunk

Gemmel replied to Smalls's topic in The Saints
Nope, he's right with Keegan -
Cheers, so i assume they could sell them to the open market? I only asked about them going to the directors as they are on reduced salaries, maybe they are part of some share option package or something similar. It would be interesting to know how many they are talking about
-
At the AGM under special business, there was a motion for the authority to allot unissued shares. Does this mean they can go to lowe wilde, & cowan? Doers anybody know how many shares are invloved? Would these be the shares that the club used to buy? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11126

Manji, Whether the criticisms of lowe are justified or not, you are wrong to think it's the minority that want him gone. Take a trip round Southampton before a match, bars, pubs, working mens clubs, wine bars and restaurants and the general sense of opinion that i have come across is that we would be better of without him. Think back to that Ipswich game, that was near on 80% of the stadium and given things are worse now than they were then, i wouldn't have thought things have changed in his favour. Personally the whole politics and boardroom shinanigans have taken their toll and me and whilst they ALL continue to to treat SFC as a ****ing contest and look to score points of each other at the expense of the clubs best interests, I remain twiddling my fingers on a Saturday afteroon. I used to support lowe but the arguments i made to defend him, no longer hold water and he lurches from one bad decsion to another, that will lead us to another relegation. You can find draw a list of other clubs suffering similar fates, but I genuinely beleive our plight, is a direct result of poor manangement, leadership and awful decisions - in brief completely avoidable and before long you will have other fans / chairmen saying, "We don't want to do a Southampton"
