Steve you are one of the few people on here i actually know. I also know you are Saints through and through with no agenda except to see Saints do the best they can, but what you have written is too simplistic. For my money we were a completely different team under Pearson than Burley (And all to the good).....and we still had our nightmare matches, but the last two games were two very astute tactical games. Wrights point blank save or our command of the game before they scored....swings and roundabouts. Whatever your position, i just cant see how anybody with so much passion for the club can sit on the fence (Pro or Anti) when the club is in such turmoil.

I'd say after today (And actually before) they are now. Lowe couldn't admit he got it wrong and has convinced the board to stick with it. When this ultimatley goes tits up (Which it will) lowe won't have any where to hide. The fans, the staff, the players, the directors, Mike Wilde and other shareholders know that this was of lowes and lowes alone making. Actually i expect him to resign when we are relegated, but not necessarily out of honour, more out of losing support of the rest of the shareholders. Whilst Jan will be remembered for taking us down, he will also be remembered as the man that got rid of Lowe for good. I truly believe the end is near for lowe.

Well that decision cost Saints 3 season tickets from this house.
-
What a stupid comment. Go ahead and abuse them, i'm sure a few of them will enjoy making your face look just like your avaitar
-
Did anybody see their first goal last night? If it wasn't total football it was bloody good football. Well done NP
-
I'm sure i remember reading or hearing that a young Paul Telfer had to go and live with WGS for a while after he got into a few scrapes...... im sure Mrs S was over the moon!
-
I completely agree. Aviva and in my opinion Barclays are very unlikely to put us in administration. The issues would come if we went into voluntary administration (If cash flow dries up or we cease to being a "Going concern).
-
Yes he did, but the ground was sold to the Council and leased back to the club (I think) Not an option for us as SCC is super skint and not in a position to buy the stadium from Aviva.......... not that they would even if they had the money
-
Aviva are not going to write off 23 million, because they dont have to. I dont know the circumstances of the Ipswich deal, but in this one they dont need to walk away..... they can simply take back the site. Administration for Saints is no different from you and I going Bankrupt........so please explain why your mortgage company is going to give you your house free of charge and walk away
-
The structure of our debt is completely different to other clubs. Anyway there is no point in trying to convince me...... You have to convince Aviva why they should walk away from 23 million. As an analogy, if you went bankrupt tomorrow, would your mortgage company give you your house????????????????????????????????
-
Why would it be offered cheaply .....seriously what is it that you don't get ? You can buy the whole club now for 6 million (If anybody would sell) it aint gonna get much cheaper.....administration or not
-
Why .... If Aviva dont play ball thats 23 million up front before you pay for the club
-
Well considering the companies market cap is almost equivelent to half the transfer fee for Walcott, anybody serious about making a move, would probably have made their play by now, so as not to risk a bidding war come administration. The price is about as low as it will ever get.....including administration. I am no expert, but the structure of the debt, does not support admistration.
-
That's of course if there is a buyer....and that's assuming it isn't one of them. The problem is that Aviva won't write of the debt for 10, 20 30p in the pound, they will simply do something else with it, which leaves us up ****e street. I'm not saying there isnt someone out there, but it is a big gamble and if it doesnt come off, it could be the end

There aren't any mate

Stop posting sh i t e about admin. People will not lose thier season tickets if they renewed and we went into admin. Whilst it is feasible in legal terms, it has never ever happened and the FA would step in, plus all people who paid by credit card would be covered. Stanley admin is not the same for Saints as it is for other clubs due to the stadium debt. You have convinced yourself of a utopia that doesnt exist
-
Stanley, whilst i agree with some of what you post (Wanting Lowe out) your take on administration is akin to that of lowes stratergy of bringing in JP and only playing kids.....fundementally flawed, a huge huge huge gamble, with odds that are stacked against the clubs bests interests
-
Correct any winding up order would not only be in the public domain, but all across the press..... they monitor this sort of thing and a winding up order would be published at the court....complete non story
-
"Mary, our club is in serious danger of extinction under the current leadership - I will not stand by and let it die!" Michael Wilde April 2008 Can i remind you of the last bit of that statement Mr Wilde. Now's the time to prove to us you "Will not stand by and let it die"
-
I agree with Westons sentiment and ultimatley, something or somebody will need to be in place to effect any change. Does the Saints Trust have enough (Or any) funds to place an advert in the times or Telegraph for the position of CEO? Obviously it would need to include the minor detail that the job isn't actually availble yet, but i guarantee you would still get some credible replies..... the press would love it as well and if it did provide half a dozen professional candidates, it might just be a starting point to approach the shareholders who will be feeling very uncomfortable at the moment
-
I think half the problem is, that if Lowe acts against JP, then he is acting against himself (As in admitting he fo0ked up big time) and that's just not how the man works. He might not have been there, but he will have heard what happened and he will also know that his last exit, started the day the crowd turned on him after the ipswich match. My worry is that he will sweat it out based on arrogance. I really can't see him staying if we get relegated.
-
LF, you must have mis read Westons post
-
It was the fans ticket money that was spent to try and trick them, so please don't say at least he had the decency to pay for it himself. He didn't .... the had the decency to try and trick the fans using their money

There was a previous thread on this a while ago, but when we flew in to Frankfurt for the world cup, there were a fair few in our Hotel that had chosen the other Frankfurt airport.............located 130 miles outside Frankfurt
