Holloway better hopes he gets another management job, because he doesn't have a future in Presenting / commmentating
-
There's a few packages that have 3 or four days in NY and the same again in Vegas or Hawaii. If you haven't been to Toronto, then its definatley worth a shout.
-
And we've got Saga back on the payroll and we haven't sold anybody. What's Saga and this new guy (Combined) on a week 10k? That's an additional half a million pounds worth of expenditure or 1500 season tickets. Sorry if it's not what you want to hear Stanley, but a club on the brink of Administration would not be in a position to make those commitments. I have to admit I'm surprised nobody has gone and that we appear to be better off than we all thought, but from where i'm looking, Admin is not relevant in the short term.
-
I think it has to! I'm no expert on the finances, but it's been confirmed that we did turn down ofers, so i can only assume things aren't as desperate as we thought.
-
I had resigned myself to losing at least two players, so am chuffed to have been wrong. The signing of the Hungarian means we have come out of the transfer window with larger expenses than we went in with and that just isn't a club on the verge of adminstration. The fact that we turned offers down suggests there is no compelling need to sell cheaply and that we are not in danger of administration in the short term.

Don't tell them your name Kim

Ha ha forgot about that...... that's a really good point (Unless the FA extend it) Que Harry blaming the snow for not being able to strengthen his team

Well here we are on the eve of the big march and looking at the Saints forum tonight, home of the most fanatical section of our supporters we have only 45% of those who voted saying they will attend. A total of 204 fans many of whom would have voted without being able to come along I suspect either through 'work commitments', location or to simply up the ante. I suspect 200 will be about the total made up of genuine fans, youths spoiling for a fight and then the figureheads whose reasons for supporting the demonstration are more to do with their own personal agendas and grievances against Lowe than whether he is the best man to take the club forward or not. Despite everyone's best intentions, peaceful demonstrations to some 'football fans' are an anathema and I genuinely fear for the safety of those who feel happy taking their children on this march having witnessed some of the unsavoury scenes at the Doncaster game and having since identifed and been surprised by some of those involved. I hope it remains peaceful but I suspect judging by some of the comments on this thread fights will undoubtedly break out as some of the more rabid anti-lowe factions and those not even interested in our predictament revert to aggression and violence instead of words. What's really sad this will surely have a negative impact on the players before they even get to the ground and with fans wishing they are defeated just so they can make their demonstration even more 'laudable' then you surely have to question what is the real purpose of this demonstration. Makes you wonder what Killer makes of it all, a Lowe appointment and therefore one that the demonstrators will want removed glancing through some of the more ridiculous posts and its these posts that are worrying and suggest a few idiots will be in tow so watch yourselves. The last time Lowe was removed the fans were able to get behind an alternative campagn but this time its Lowe out, Wilde out and then what? Crouch? All I can say is don't believe his own hype and whilst he talked a good game, Crouch didn't have the courage to back his own convictions as his main priority as always was to curry favour with the fans or sit back and wait or say I told you so. That's an easy game to play and most of us footie fans play it very well. So we will have 200 fanatics trying to cajole and rile the vast majority of fans in the ground. Those fans who make up the middle ground who prefer to support and identify with the plight the club or remain simply conscientious objectors perhaps to both sids of the argument. I trust that when the majority ask the minority to sit down so they can enjoy the game we don't see alledgedly grown and considered respectable men becoming aggressive with women and children or families or any fan objecting to their aggression. Remember there are two sides to the argument and those who wish not to take part also have their rights so please respect them. That did not happen at the Doncaster game and I am concerned about tomorrows events and more so about the impact on the game. If we go a goal down and it all kicks off you the demonstrators will be playing a major part in our downfall along with you nemesis and that is not clever in any General's book.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I assume rupes is still on the piste, but will the jellyfish be there to see the match

Heart and head arguing with each other again. Heart says yes, head says no. Having lived through all the relegation battles in the 90's, this one seems very different. This has been mentioned before, but we all belived in those days we would survive and so did the players, without being over the top about it, it always felt like we were all in it together and we all pulled in the same direction. There is an air of inenvitability about relegation this year, with many (Including myself) that are almost expecting it. if woote does pull it off, then he deserves the freedom of the city, but i just cant see it. If we lose tomorrow, i don't think there will be a way back- for the team or the board. Going back over the years on this forum (in its different forms) i've lost count the amount of times ive read "Crucial Match" "Must win game" "Biggest match is our history" etc etc. But for me tomorrow is **** or bust. If we win we have a chance, if we lose the fans will revolt and the divisions will be even bigger.

The first three letters of your board name, speak volumes

What has the share price got to do with how close we are to administration. The fall in our stock is pretty much in line with the whole market. I am no expert, but we are not acting (Lack of selling players, giving woote money to buy a new player) like a club on the brink

Broadband is slow in the Country and his email took two years to get through

Ha ha sorry mate, and forget all the other politics going on, but there is no way he resigned without being pushed (And a pay off). Without even getting into his rallying cry on Monday. If he just walked, then 8 months work, COST him money.......not a chance
-
If Norwich had won, given the other results, it would have been a disaster, still not a great night, but could have been worse
-
MLT, just said pretty much the same
-
Donny winning

The only person Fulthorpe should be teaming up with is Walter Mitty

It was a joke

The fundementally flawed experiment that will see us relegated again. Oh and as things haven't worked out with a 3rd division dutch coach, he replaces him with............................ You couldnt make it up.
-
Did it say whether he was permanent

For most PLC clubs, yes it is, but as we get through so many the LSE asked us just to send a list at the end of the season
