You need help
-
I don't like lowe and i try and not let that cloud my judgement, but if you spoke to Steve G, you will know where he heard it from, which suggests the rumour did have credible legs....... even if it was ********. I'm probably over reacting but seems to me someone (for whatever reason) wanted that rumour out there. It worries me it tied in so nicely with Sales story
-
The rumour certainly came from somewhere and from a high enough source to attract enough respect as to believe it. Without having a go at either side (lowe wilde / crouch), my opinion is that it was done for a reason, much like a couple of other examples of the last 18 months. For what end game or purpose, i have no idea, but i am convinced it was deliberate
-
Only if your'e under 21 and strictly Saturdays only between 3.00pm and 5.00pm
-
To be fair mate, there is no way in the world, no matter how skint we were that the general public would ever be let loose on one of the best surfaces in the country with their garden pitch forks
-
Cheers, hadn't seen that, but stand by what i said, there is nothing on the LSE who would be the first to know and transfer window, suggests we are not close to admin
-
Total ********, you only need to check the lse. A club who added to their squad in the transfer window without selling one player, who are just about to fork out for 40 odd flights and accomodation to Jersey, are not close to administration
-
It won't be long before there are thousands outside St Mary's with their pitch forks Keeping it on topic, i completely agree
-
LOL....sorry all, i assumed he was older

Saints march to Jersey Championship side Southampton F.C. will visit Jersey for a friendly match on Monday 9th February 2009 at Springfield Stadium. Kick off is 7.30pm against the Jersey FA senior island men's side. There are numerous links between Southampton F.C. and the Jersey F.A. Mr Michael Wilde is the current Chairman of Saints whilst also being the Jersey FA main sponsor through his company the Wilde Family Office Limited. A number of Jersey's most promising youngsters having been invited to attend trials and pre season training weeks at the South Coast Club. This past week one of our most promising youngsters in our Centre, goalkeeper Euan Van der Vliet has been offered an academy contract at Saints until the end of the season. Significantly in recent weeks has been the signing by Southampton of Jack Boyle has been signed on a six month contract and who, will now return to the island to face his former teammates in the red and white of Saints rather than his beloved Jersey for whom he has featured so prominently in the past season, including his match winning performance in last' year's Muratti whilst being watched from the stands by Michael Wilde. The 20 man Saints squad and backroom staff will arrive in the island on Monday lunchtime and will return late Tuesday afternoon and it is anticipated that several current first team players will be included in the visiting party. A community coaching session will also take place with a couple of local primary schools which is being organised by Dave Kennedy and will be attended by Saints coaching staff and it is hoped some of the Southampton players will also be involved. Ricky Weir, Jersey FA President, told channelonline.tv; "Through our extremely close links with Southampton FC we are delighted to have secured this exciting fixture. There is a large Saints support in the island and with the strong expectation that they will bring across some first team players we would expect local Saints fans to turn out in force to support them. In turn there is the massively exciting prospect of seeing the return to Springfield of our very own Jack Boyle in Saints colours to face many of his team mates with whom he celebrated his first and most memorable muratti victory last May. Our utmost thanks go to our main sponsor Michael Wilde of the Wilde Family Office Limited and Flybe's Ian Taylor who have generously and jointly sponsored this match and without whose support such a fixture would not be taking place. Thanks also go to Bruno Carpenter of the Hotel Ambassadeur Hotel who has offered accommodation to the travelling party at an extremely generous rate http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_football/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=384837

Actually lowe has said there wasnt loads of money in the account but facilities upto 6 (I think) million...ie overdraft / credit
-
Beacuse the questions would have been a bit tricker for the board to answer
-
Go and read the top article (Top right related stories, from the orginal link) oh by the way i have no issue with the statement either, with the exception of him thanking the board for holding thier nerve and not selling, when in the other article he says he turned down the bids. As i said no problem with the statement, just more spin bull**** from the borad and not his problem, except being used as a puppet Two articles contridicting each other http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...on/7873058.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7865139.stm

Not impressed with Wotte "Fans are very easy with their judgement"
Gemmel replied to St. Jason's topic in The Saints
He says he's not blaming us, just we didnt get behind them soon enough and they have to earn our support.....his latest interview. Snow reason for low crowd - Wotte Southampton boss Mark Wotte has put the Saints' lowest ever league attendance at St Mary's down to the weather. Tuesday's last-gasp 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield United was watched by just 13,257 supporters. The match only went ahead after a number of pitch inspections and safety considerations, following heavy snow. Wotte told BBC Radio Solent: "We had 17,000 on Saturday, they all went home satisfied with the performance. Today, I think it's more about the weather." He continued: "I thought it was silent in the stadium in the second half especially when you go all the way to try to win. "I think there was a very late reaction in support of the players but I know we have to earn that support. I'm not blaming the crowd, I'm just working with the players to do a better job." The result leaves the Saints facing a grim battle to avoid relegation with just 15 matches left. The new lowest league attendance beats the previous worst figure of 14,226 against Coventry City in October. Two months before that game, just over 11,000 turned up to watch the Carling Cup victory over Birmingham City. St Mary's opened its doors for the first time back in 2001 after the club switched from the intimacy of the Dell. Sell-out crowds of 32,000 regularly followed Southampton in the Premier League at the new ground before relegation in 2005. But that is a far cry from the plummeting attendances this season. Saints have won just once in front of their own supporters in the Championship in this campaign and face the prospect of relegation to the third tier of English football for the first time since 1960. Last Saturday, around 500 Saints fans went on a protest march from Southampton city centre to the stadium to voice concerns over the way the club is being run. Saints lie second bottom in the Championship and three points off safety. On Saturday they travel to fellow strugglers Watford. And Dutchman Wotte is confident of Southampton surviving. "This is a battle that we lost, but we haven't lost the war yet," he said -
See you at Watford then.....oh
-
So manageable we have had to restructure it once possibly twice in the championship. It aslo gets paid from season ticket revenue, even we don't get relegated season ticket renewals will fall, if we do then they will fall even further and be cheaper than they are now.
-
Really ? And there was me thinking it was other shareholders backing of wilde that ousted him...or forced him to resign with a big fat payoff. Silly me
-
18p a share, surely now the time is right!!
Gemmel replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
I'm not sure that the share price falling helps those of us that want to rid the club of wilde and lowe. I can't see any of the major shareholders selling at the current figure and the lower it goes and the less the shares are worth, there's no incentive for them to do anything but carry on regardless, hoping that the players / team come good. -
I agree in the sentiment, but he has a legal duty to do so if the club are trading outside of its means. The bit you raise about the contracts is valid, although whether we get relegated or not, we will see a further decline in our revenue stream as the uptake of season tickets will be very poor (IMO). I can see a situation where he takes (If he already hasn't) a **** or bust attitude and without attacking him (Just observing his personality) that he will fight to the death and regardless of whether he could technically call in the administrators before the FA deadling of taking the hit this season, will go down fighting somewhere around November / December next year. I hope im wrong.

Is it down to lake i fear
-
Like lowe and wilde did.....oh For what it's worth. i can't stand all the bickering either, but those two put our club at greater risk, when they could have waited, as it was we survived. I can't see any harm in Mary rallying the troops ready for inevitable
-
That's exactly what i thought, but just had a match report from someone at the game, who thought we were very average although their winner, was supposed to be just a class goal - nobodys fault
