  1. Agree with all of that. From what ive seen so far, i think i'd still want him even if we are relegated. The protests can wait and then if needed can be bigger and more powerful at the end of the season
  2. I completely agree, you shouldn't
  3. Having just the thread , i really can't see what your so opposed to, but each to their own. On a more general point, the NHS quite simply isn't sustainable in it's current form and hasn't been really for years, each goverment throws an extra few billion at it, but it doesn't have any real impact and at times doesn't even paper of the cracks. I disagree with your opinion that the waiting lists now are smaller than previous years, because for the more serious operations that just isnt the case. Surgeons are having thier time prioritised for smaller quicker, less urgent operations to meet goverment targets on overall avergae waiting times. Much like the ambulance service. Call out an ambulance and you will have a guy on a motor bike there within 20 mins, can't do fook all except radio back that an Ambulance IS needed and then wait for over an hour for it to turn up..... Guess which time is reported against for targets? Why anybody wouldnt want the burden reduced on the NHS by the private sector is bizarre. If they use NHS equipment, rooms etc, the y have to pay, so the NHS is better off or would have had to do the treatment themselves and recieve no money. If the NHS is going to be able to deliver the service it was created to provide then they will need the Private health service to continue growing. Companies should recieve significant tax breaks for providing their employees and their families with cover.
  4. I have a feeling this is still going to go to the wire and that both teams might need a result from the game. Hope i'm wrong, but it won't be for the fainthearted if we need something up there.

  6. Fair points UM, I am certainly not claiming to be any sort of expert when it comes to these things and still hope that I am right, in it being a positive sign, i guess only time will tell. As for the mortgage payment, you are definatley right and lowe acknowledged it at the AGM and cited the reason for the delay in calling it, down to the fact that they were waiting for this to be approved.
  7. Nick the post wasnt about a consipiracy theory, it was more of a positive post! But anyway as for the delay being down to not knowing what league we'd be in, on the umteem times we've been in the same position, it has never stopped us before
  8. http://www.darlington-fc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10339~1561752,00.html It seems Darlington are still selling them, though the they apologise for there being a week delay and it was then that week that they went into admin and the website only lists this years season ticket prices, so may be they aren't
  9. With the club not selling or releasing prices until April, does that dispell the thought we are on the very brink of administration? I'm not saying i'm right, but i would have thought if we were deperate for cash or if either Barclays or Aviva were applying serious pressure, they we would be collecting money ASAP? I appreciate that we don't know what league we will be playing in, but its hardly the first time, weve been in that situation and it hasnt stopped us before. Judging by the fact that we didn't sell anybody in the transfer window and even added to our costs and now this, whilst i doubt the picture is very rosy, i really don't think administration is just around the corner.
  10. I agree about the two years bit, not being a significant milestone, but (Whilst this was second hand information) I believe that he was to all intents and purposes run out of the club. I don't think askham was the problem (He's still s t w at though), but after Bally had, had a few, he suggested Lawrie was the culpriit and that was only a couple of weeks after he left and everything was still rosy upthere for him.
  11. I think it was the fact he made it look so theatrical, as to why it wasnt given. The defender clearly took Saga before the ball, but when he decided to throw a couple of double pikes and pieroets (?) into the mix, the ref was never going to give it.

    THAT Save

As the orginal poster said , it deserves a thread of its own. As for the tw @ts that think it was average and that most keepers ould have made, i'd just remind them that drugs are still illegal. One of the best saves ive ever seen live n 30+ years of watching football. Nice one Kelvin
  13. Over to you um pahars...... I cant be bothered with the t w a t .
  14. Stanley for what its worth i want lowe out as well, but you do our cause no good and act like a ***t
  15. Stanley, most fans want lowe out, but can't reconcile that with wanting the team to lose, get relegated or go into administration. And just a word of warning if we do go into admin; This is a quote from the Darlington chairman yesterday relating to them going into admin..... I intend to support the administrators in this process and if any serious investors can be found I stand ready to continue my involvement and some investment as part of a consortium in order to keep professional football alive in Darlington."

Just under 5 million, but i don't think that even if you offered the major shareholders twice the share price that they would sell
  17. Stanley, post all the positives you think administration will acheive and i will post all the negatives. Then take a position somewhere in the middle of the two and see if you still want administration. It really is not what you think it is.
  18. It will be intresting to see how this plays out and it looks or reads as though they put themselves into administration. I see the current chairman is offering some investment to join up with others as a consortium to buy the club

Keeping saga and not bringing in upteem junior players, not bringing in a complete novice of a manager, not having to pay off the novice manager, might, have got a few more fans threw the gate and could well have had us higher up the the table and not staring relegation and administration in the face....just a thought

Its not very detailed research.....nothing that google couldnt give you in 2 seconds. As it happens it's missing quite a few and at least one of the companies listed hasn't traded in over two years. Heres a link that shows a few more, including two liquidated companies .....remind me again why Crouch would have had us in admin http://www.growthcompany.co.uk/aim/rns/2058711/directorate-change.thtml

What a stupid comment. Just for the record, RF Webb, (One of lowes companies) recently pleaded with their creditors not to put them into administration and merllion homes (Wildes company) looks like it could be wound up. Crouch would appear to be the most succesfull of the three

Well just to try, the whole club is now worth the same amount we paid for Delap. Less than Newcastle paid for Titus Bramble And half the amount Spurs paid for Dean Richards
  23. What the hell has class got to do with it?
  24. Indeed and a stark contrast to last year with the other two calling an EGM at such a crucial time. That aside, this is a start and one that i'm not sure lowe and wilde can walk away from. An agreeement in principal to talk at the end of the season.....what harm could that do? If lowe and wilde agree to talks now, (To commence at the end of the season) It may even go as far as quelling the lowe and wilde lynch mob in the short term. If they don't agree to it, then people can make their own minds up (Those that havent yet done so ). I'm not a fan of any of them particulary, but this is a good move from Crouch and with the Echo acting as the man in the middle, lowe and wilde need to respond. If they decline the offer, they deserve all the protests and abuse they will get.
  25. Well if youre happy to be lied to then fine no problem. If you think your chairmans time is well spent holding interviews, knowing the position has already gone, not a problem. As for why LC didn't give him a five year contract  I'll let you work that one out for yourself.
