  1. I was talking about that joker fulthorpe. Your post on Saltz and what he brings to the table was spot on and your right, he has never mouthed off . Sounds like good chairman material
  2. He's been very confident for over a year and quite happy to tell ayone who will listen. I can't believe he has waited for the club to go into Administration, to make his move. The minus 10 points will set any business plan back by at least a year probably 2.
  3. Could well be. I was just assumming "End of season" meant exacly that, but i suppose it makes sense if there is a definative date. He'll be gone on the 30th the
  4. There is a break in his contract just like Pearsons for the end of the season. He can be taken off the pay roll, without any compensation as of 4.45 Sunday. I doubt if he will be here on Monday
  5. Tin hat at the ready...... Lallana will be a better player in the Prem than he is in the Championship. Happy to take a bet from anyone that he will be capped. Oh and we wont get anything like 5 million for him
  6. Couldnt agree more....... Top post
  7. I agree with yor sentiments regarding Crouch, but think we would be starting with minus 100 points if RL and wilde were on the pitch Plus the cost of two ambulances, might have seen us go under
  8. Forest are now safe. 90 mins of going down taunts
  9. I disagree. The PA saga all wet our lips, as to getting a multi billionare owner and that we could do a Chelsea. But it isn't going to happen and even before administration, i had come round to just wanting a group of decent businessmen, to pool their resources, cut our cloth accordingly and run the club.
  10. I was thinking the same last week. It would be very interesting to say the least! I would guess that if / when SLH is finally wound up, the NDA's would be worthless, so people would be free to speak.
  11. My understanding is that in addition to the 50k donation, he is continuing to fund the club and keep it alive. Which if true, is a fantastic gesture and is owed a huge thank you from ALL Saints fans regardless of any personal views on the man.
  12. Mentioned it on another thread, but he has a contract until the end of the season, which means we can let him go without any cost after the Forest game. He will be gone by Sunday evening, imo
  13. Wotte, said he had a contract until the end of the season with a option for next season, which sounds much like Pearsons deal. With the financial situation, if we can cut costs off the payroll, we will, so i would expect him to be released after the Forest match
  14. Ok i feel stupid now..... Was looking for something deeper than the wrong way round
  15. oh ....and one more Which of the five choices below makes for the best comparison? CHIN is to INCH as 3819 is to ? A. 2546 B. 1938 C. 7844 D. 9832 E. 1897
  16. Cheers had to do 48 of these and these are the ones i'm not sure about. The first one none of them appear to be similar, but thats not an option and the last one, on the assumption that an individual and municpaility are opposites, then i need the opposite for a loan and cant really see any of those fitting

  18. Can't you read??????? Have you listened to anything that SOS has said on here or in the press? They don't want to buy, take over or run the club, they are putting something together in the event that no one else does. Gobbing off and having a pop without even understanding what they are trying to do.
  19. What about Wade Garrett's contribution to saving the club? The Trust has had and still does have it's issues and people can't identify with SISA becase of the personalities involved. But with the exeception of Derry, I don't see many other fans getting of their arses and doing something. So credit where its due. This is being positioned as "When all else fails" alternative, so basically no club or the chance of doing something to save it. The irony isn't lost on me for those people lambasting fans who couldn't support the lowe regieme, yet now refusing to back a last ditch initiative to save the club because of the personalites involved. Good luck to all those trying to do something and thank you.
  20. I don't think we should ignore alternative revenue streams, just not at the detriment of the core business, - a football team. I get the feeling, you are trying to turn this in to a lowe vs Rest of world, conversation. The thead is about whether we could stomach, someone running the club for profit and of course the answer is Yes and apart from anything else, we don't have any choice.
  21. It means or was meant to mean (My view, not wildes), that, everything revolves around the football club, predominatly the first team and any expenditure is on the football side. Stability at management level and no distractions. I perhaps should have put; "As long as the company put the football club first."
  22. Those of you from the 80's will remember the tune Go wilde, Go wilde, Go wilde in Jersey The snake in the grass, was lying out his a r s e
  23. I'm not sure we have much choice. Any billionaires out there with an affinty for Southampton football club, would have turned up ahead of this mess. The people looking at us now are almost certainly looking for a return and there's nothing wrong with that. What happened 12 years ago is a very different place to where we are today and indeed football and it's finances are as well. Nothing you and i can do about that, it's just a fact of life. I would be more than comfortable with a consortium of business people, running it at as a commercial business and thier big return will only be realised by Saints getting back in the Premiership. If between now and whenever (If ever) that date is, as long as the club, put football first, then i don't think we can have any complaints.
  24. We're Red we're White We're really in the S h i t e Southampton, Southampton
