  1. I and a colleague of mine both said that the team didn't seem to have their usual unity and spirit against Hull, it wasn't just Guly that was getting upset Lallana and Lambert both had a moan a couple of times and i'm sure they weren't the only ones. I hope that it was just a one off, as one of the best things about watching Saints this season has been the togetherness of the team and seeing them playing for one another as well as us and how they all go and celebrate a goal with the scorer. I also think we'll see how much the team have come to rely on Chaplow over the last few months and therefore how important he is to us, in the coming weeks. Without him in the team they all have to do that bit more running and closing down to make up for his absence.
  2. Well I hope that they don't sell out with this ballot either, as I only have two 'aways' at present and really want a Pompey ticket. I want to banish the memory of that dire performance in the 1-4 and then having to stand in the ground whilst they played f**king Amarillo over and over and over again! I want to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Saints family that will be there as we all as one sing our hearts out for the lads and when we win, to then shove it back down the throats of the fish f**kers. What a day that will be!
  3. Everyone who shook hands with Poyet, is left wondering if it really was chocolate on his finger!
  4. So we give them one bucket to **** in and eat out of then, well that will bring back fond memories of their experiences in the Navy then!
  5. He was dog s**t at Cardiff, but since then he has made me eat my words about his ability, has been a very solid addition that shows Adkins gets it right 90% of the time when it comes to transfers.
  6. Pumcheon managed to get himself on the pitch for QPR today.
  7. He can't have any complaints about that sending off, the challenge on Guly alone should have been a straight red and wasn't it the same player that had gone through the back of Lallana in the first couple of minutes of the game? The Referee and his linesmen were a joke, with some of their decisions bordering on incompetance and some looking like they were the result of a brown envelope! Ferguson should have no complaints, the ref did him proud.
  8. Between the 80th minute and the 92nd things got a bit tense, but I still thought we would either hold on or we would get another goal to win it. However the last few minutes were pretty easy as we had weathered their storm and had the upper hand again and I could see us getting another goal as they were so high up the pitch we only needed to get De Ridder away with a half decent ball through. I thought it was a good professional performance by the team and it was probably a good thing that the score was only one nil, I think this helps the players focus against hard working teams as they know they have to stay on their toes, whereas at two or three up, they might start to think it's game over and before you know it the oppo have a goal back and it's game on again. With West Ham pushing their three strikers up onto the defence closing down the space at the back that we use for building our play, did we fully exploit the gap left in the midfield? On a side note, I wonder if saints have reported Matt Taylor for criminal damage? I was sitting with a good view up the tunnel and could see him going mental and kicking everything in sight as he went up the tunnel including kicking out at something at the end of it several times, I got the impression that he was less than impressed to have been subbed, so was it really an injury?
  9. You could see that he didn't want to leave the pitch at the end, he had a huge grin on his face and just wanted to stay and celebrate with us fans, I think he's fallen in love with Southampton.
  10. The ballot form is for season ticket holders only, so when can the rest of us apply? I would think that the club will add a restriction that only season ticket holders can use the ticket and not pass it on to a friend either that or anyone that does and then that person gets into some trouble on the day of the game, the season ticket holder will then lose their season ticket!
  11. Could it possibly be down to our lovely friends in the Hampshire Constabulary? Those guys love us so much, always looking out for our safety first and foremost!
  12. B*llocks it will ruin the atmosphere, I intend to go by the coach if i'm lucky enough to get a ticket and i'll be screaming my head off all the way through, the joy of us and the despair of them seeing their shower of sh*te getting hammered will be more than worth any hassle of getting the coach and any Saints fans there that do not get behind the team just because they have to get a coach are pathetic! This is a vocal war, which we will win, we are the better fans!
  13. Just spoke to the ticket office, allocation is now fully sold out!
  14. The first shout was a definite pen, the Cardiff player hurled himself at the ball in an attempt to block Corks shot, his hand was well above head height when the ball struck it and was moving towards the ball, he was also far enough away from Cork that you couldn't give him the benefit of the doubt for 'Ball to Hand' If I remember rightly the second wasn't given as the ref had already blown either for a foul on their keeper or offside.
  15. Going on the Skates record this season so far, do we think they'll even sell out their allocation for the game? Given that they all hate us so much, it will be shameful if they dont! We're coming for you.......
  16. I really want to go to this one, i was at that deabcle the last time we played them there and that demon needs to be exorcised! It was such an abjectly pathetic performance from our players. How many away games attended do you think the club will set, for people to be able to get tickets for it? I'm hoping to be able to get to the Reading and Bristol City games and possibly Coventry, just to get a ticket for Krap Nottarf! I want to see the looks on their faces after we've given their patched up excuse of a team a pasting on their turf!
  17. The phantom prostrate examiner strikes again!
  18. We still need a striker with pace, don't think Waghorn fits that criteria and if he's a possible replacement for Lambert, i'd rather we signed Lukas from Coventry instead, from what i've seen of him, he has a bit more pace than Lambert and is developing his upper body strength nicely as he is able to hold off defenders and score now. As for Pace, let's make Fiorentina an offer for Papa, given his contract status, we may get him for around the £500,000 mark and we'd have someone who can keep up with De Ridder, which had we had last weekend, would of killed off Millwall, too many times he broke with the ball and then had to check back and wait for the others to catch up. Alternatively, lets get every penny of the Chambo money and whatever is left over of this years budget from Markus and make Chelsea an offer for Sturridge, yes we'd be unlikely to get him to drop a division, but it would be a massive statement of intent and if he did, I doubt any of the other players would argue disparity of wage, for a player that would make such a huge impact on the quality of the squad.
  19. Let's throw Puncheon back at them!
  20. This worries me Relax yourself, Nigel has already said that the only job he would consider leaving us for is the one at Liverpool, and with an Anfield god in charge there for the foreseable future, i'm not worried that he's going anywhere but to the top with Saints!
  21. Are you serious?, I bought one as well, only to find that half of the pages hadn't been cut apart, so I had to prize them apart trying not to rip them. Add to that at least five mistakes, including listing the Ipswich game next week as being at St Marys and one of the Youth Team player profiles listing a winger as a goalkeeper. It's either very shoody proof reading or the skate printers having a laugh. If I was Cortese, I would have been on the phone threatening to cancel the contract if they make so many mistakes again.
  22. I and a few other people saw Chamberlain in the Chapel end car park about twenty minutes after the game on Saturday. A woman asked him if he was staying, to which he replied 'I don't know yet' then a guy said 'I can't blame you for going' to which he replied 'thanks', I then said to him, 'I hope we see you in a Saints shirt again soon' and didn't get a reply from him. Make of that what you will. I think I would rather see a Saints team this season with him in it, than to have a few more million just sitting in a bank, having not been able to find an even half decent replacement and think his development is better served with us playing a match every week, than with Wenger only giving him a game once a month.
  23. 30 minutes for me, another 5 and i'm giving up! 35 mins to buy one ticket for a pre season noddy tournament is a joke. They should have either taken on extra staff or have had a seperate line for season ticket renewals! Yet again the customer service at our club stinks!
  24. It was good, but still think that Beatts for Stoke against them was better, running up to them with his finger over his mouth, and then shouting at them 'Ave that you Skate C**ts' was of pure quality! On the subject of Saints fans in our team, how about Wade Elliott?, I still remember him in our Championship relegation season, running round some of our players during our match with Burnley telling them to gee up their performances! I know this as I actually heard him saying it to Lloyd James, Lallana and McGoldrick. He's a quality player at Championship level as well!
  25. Indeed Beatle, I was thinking that maybe it is wrapped up and the club aren't going to announce it until the 20th, when he and possibly some other signings will be revealed wearing the new kit. The club/Cortese could be going for the double wow factor! Which it certainly would be, if one of those revealed was a pacey striker who knows how to put half chances as well as tap ins into the back of the net! BTW, after four days of talks, CMS would have signed for Leicester by now if he actually wanted to play for them, the only way he'll be going there now is if QPR or Everton attempt to take the p*ss on his personal terms. I'm glad we didn't go back in for him, it would of been much more frustrating knowing that he's holding on for a better offer, and leaving us hanging for a decision!
